Hi, I’m Darius and I’m a happy, energetic, 45-pound pup ready to show you my zest for life. Upon first meeting, I am shy and a bit scared, but spend a day with me (like my foster sleepover mom did) and I will blossom and show you my fun-loving self. I recently spent 3 days at a foster sleepover and boy was it fun! I got to run around in a fenced yard, entertained myself with toys. I never had an accident in the house and had my own room to hang out in when my foster mom left. I slept in a crate all through the night. I am working on my manners, as I can get a bit excited at times, however I’m a quick learner. I already know “sit”, “paw” and “down”. My ideal home would be one where I can get exercise and playtime. When I tire, I will come lay in your lap. I’ve heard the saying, “Good things come to those who wait”, and if you give me a few days to settle in with you and time to learn your routine, I will be your loyal friend!

I’ve been told I’m the perfect mix of goofy and smart! I love to make people laugh with my silly antics, but I can also impress you with how quickly I learn. I know my basic commands and I am crate trained too! I’m always eager to learn more, especially if there are treats involved. I’m not just smart—I’m also gregarious and social. I’m a big fan of couches, beds, and lots of snuggles. And if you love car rides, you’ll love me even more—I do very well in the car. I absolutely love walks and hikes and I love to play in the water! Plus, I adore playing with toys. Fetch is my absolute jam! Toss me a ball, and I’ll be your best friend forever!You’ll fall in love with my soulful stare, and my light snoring will only add to my charm. Hey there! I’m Spanky, a 65-pound loving and confident boy who’s always ready to make new friends—people and dogs alike! After I was brought to the shelter by a kind person who found me running loose, no one came to claim me, but that just means that I get a fresh start! I’m staying with a great foster parent, and I’m loving my home life. Playing is a favorite pastime of mine: give me a bouncy ball and I will happily entertain myself! My foster parent has also been impressed by my smarts, as I pick up on new skills and commands very quickly, especially when cheese or pieces of hot dog are my reward. I love spending time with people, whether that cuddling with my foster parent or the excitement of meeting someone new. Just one thing—I’ve got a bit of a chase instinct when it comes to small animals, so a cat-free home would be best for me.
