Guessing at his breed! Nebu is 5 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. He loves everyone! He is social, playful and house trained. He was treated for heartworms but is non-symptomatic. Although Raven's story has a sad tone to it she has not let it harden her. She was found in a landfill and felt as unwanted as the piles of garbage that surrounded her. She was rescued, however it was a bumpy beginning. She was scared, yet in a paradoxical way she craved human safety and comfort. It's similar to that feeling of landing a life-changing opportunity, as you awkwardly try to fit into this new, much needed mold. Alaqua staff and volunteers firmly believe there is a place for every being at our table, and with time and love Raven found a fan club, then eventually a foster home. She has learned what it feels like to be wanted and loved. She is cuddly and loving with her foster parents. She keeps her foster parents entertained with her goofy side, like she is trying to make them laugh. She is very cooperative and listens when you want or don't want her to do something. She kept her soft, shy nature. She wants to share her heart, resiliency, triumph, and the power of never giving up. She benefits from having another dog in the household to show her the ropes and help her with her confidence. She will soon find out what it feels like to feel a part of her forever family and receive unconditional love.

Story
I found this guy when I was bike riding on a trail, he was going into a busy road at an intersection so I called him to follow me to the parking lot. Took him to the pound to have him scanned for a chip, there was not one. I posted on numerous sites of lost and found. I did have a lady reach out to me, she is not sure if he is the same dog, but if it is, she told me his owner committed suicide and the family probably did not want him and dumped him. She described him and I sent her a picture and she believes it is the same dog. He has a very good demeanor ,he loves attention and affirmation that he is a good boy! Which he really is! He likes to chase my cats to play, not to hurt them. So we have been working with him on the commands leave it and come/recall. We would love to find him a home with a fenced yard and someone that has more time to play with him.
