Coco is a sweet boy, quiet, but need the right training. We live in a condo and we have a busy schedule. He would do best in a home with a backyard and with other dogs if possible. He is 8-9 months old and the rehoming fee comes with all his things, a crate and toys, and food. He likes to sleep on the couch but sleeps quietly at night in his crate. He has all shots and microchipped. We hope we can find someone that is able to provide a better lifestyle for him than we could have. He is shy at first but is a very loving boy who likes to cuddle.

Sweet sweet Ruckus!! What can we say?? ..where do we begin? Ruckus is looking for a home where he will be allowed to shine on his own time frame. With love and patience his true personality will come out and he will be the best dog anyone could ever ask for if just given that chance. He joined us after his owner died. He was one of four dogs left behind, no one aware dogs were unattended. His father died still tied to his chain. He and his brother broke free. When help arrived he watched his mother cut off her chain and hauled off on a catch pole then his brother trapped. He was the last one left and was often seen sleeping on or next to his dad's body. Gratefully a concerned neighbor reached out and we developed a plan to get him safe. Unfortunately, his mother was riddled with cancer so was put to rest at the shelter. His brother had also been taken to the shelter and was not doing well. We picked his brother up and started the healing process for both. That reunion was something else. Ruckus went from scared, withdrawn and aloof to free. Rambo, who had been tentative about people could not be happier to see Ruckus and their rehab began together. We believe Ruckus and Rambo had an okay beginning, loved and cared for, maybe not the way we would like but they welcome new people nicely especially if treats or a doggy bone are involved. Ruckus is a teddy bear with the most innocent soulful eyes Ruckus likes stability, nothing wrong with that! He chills very nicely and would appreciate a calm home where someone is home a lot, a friend to read a book with or to watch TV. A backyard to explore under supervision would be ideal. He's a homebody as new/busy situations make him a bit nervous. Eventually leashed walks around the block or where it isn’t too busy could be enjoyable. He doesn’t need to go shopping, or to community/neighborhood events.. Ruckus can probably be talked into a ride in the car to a quiet cabin in the mountains with his favorite person who would give him quick leashed potty breaks… that’s all he would require. Sounds like the perfect easy dog, right?! Ruckus would really really love to be chosen along with his brother Rambo (please ask about him) but he understands that may not be possible for it would take a very very special family to welcome 2 dogs at once. However, Rambo is a much more outgoing and adventerous guy so both makes for perfect home and out/about. WOW!! What a great fairytale that would be!? Can he come live with and love you?? Please pick Ruckus!! Flight Risk: do not leave unattended in a yard, crated when when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures. Must be aware of open doors and windows. He's down for an adventure and loves car rides. He enjoys walks and adjusts well to new surroundings and outings. He can still be tentative if people move too fast or something unexpected startles him. Hi, I'm Freddie. I'm a handsome and regal looking 4 yr. old, 73 lb. black lab mix. I'm playful, friendly and affectionate. In spite of all my great qualities, I spent over a year in a shelter before SPOT rescued me (Black dogs and large breeds frequently get unfairly passed over by adopters for some reason) I love toys of all kinds and enjoy chasing a ball. I still haven't quite mastered that part about bringing it back! I get along great with other dogs and people. Unfortunately, cats, not so much. Since coming to SPOT, I have worked with a trainer to develop my leash manners and to follow basic commands. I would like to learn even more, if my new family will work with me. (Just to make sure I get off on the right track, SPOT will provide refresher sessions with my Trainer. I recently had some surgery to fix my leg and its all better.I love my daily brisk walks and romps in the backyard. Since I am a big strong dog, you should probably have experience with bigger dogs. Freddie is a dog who, more than anything deserves a second chance! He will reward that lucky family who adopts him with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be that family?
