Story
Meet Owen!Owen came into care as a stray with no ID, after evading good Samaritans who were trying to catch him for days! We have no idea about Owen's past history, or why we was so elusive and fearful before he was captured. Over the past week as he has settled into shelter life, he has warmed up nicely with staff and is beginning to gain some confidence going on a calm, leashed walks in the mornings. Due to his flightyness in the past, Owen will need to be kept close to home, with a VERY securely fenced outside area, and continue on-leash walks with his person for a long time until full trust and confidence is built. Because we don't know his history, and his escape artistry, we think he would be best suited to an adult only home. Owen is looking for a stable, grounded, and calm family to enjoy these long summer days with.Owen SB# 593600PLEASE NOTE: This dog is located on the Sunshine Coast and travel via BC Ferries is required to adopt.
