Kincaid gives a whole new meaning to 'wide open' - he looks at everything as new and exciting! His combination of retriever goofiness and chow independence makes him a free spirit. He is looking for a partner who will train and engage with him respectfully. He also would enjoy a lot of time to run, roam, and explore on his own. A fine companion, he will be a good guardian of his home. He has not been compatible with other animals.  ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Jul 2020 ~  Est weight:  60#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Meet Trina, a 10-month-old Flat Coated Retriever and Shepherd mix. She now weighs around 31 pounds, but we expect her to mature to around 50 pounds. She sports a medium-length black, grey, and white coat. Trina is the perfect family dog as she's very calm and loves to follow you around as she waits for pets. Trina also does great with other dogs! What a sweet temperament she has! Adopt Trina and let her fill your home and heart! (ME, 12/8/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.December 8, 2024, 2:57 pm

Story
Oscar is a Lab/ Rhodesian mix boy that is 3 year old! He loves life and came to the rescue with his siblings when they were young puppies. He was adopted but then life happened and Oscar came back to the rescue. He is a sweet boy and weighs about 60 lbs. This big boy did come back to the rescue with Osteomyelitis in his mandible or lower jaw, possibly from an injury. This is an infection of the bone which is treated with antibiotics. While the infection has been treated, this has left Oscar with a build up of excess bone on his lower jaw. This does not cause pain and also does not require medications  or further treatment. Oscar is doing well now and is a wonderful boy to work with. He is good with dogs, cats and kids, and is HOUSEBROKEN! He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250.November 3, 2024, 8:52 am
