Story
Note: Selene is being shared on behalf of her current owner. If you would like to meet or adopt, we can connect you directly with her current family. Selene is about 3.5 years old, and a real sweetheart! She can be a little shy at first meetings, but is happiest when she can snuggle up with her person on the bed and LOVES having her ears rubbed. She's a gentle cuddle bug who will gladly keep you warm on a chilly fall evening! Selene was raised with other cats and big dogs, so may do well with either after a slow introduction. However, her owner feels that Selene would be happiest if she could be your one-and-only best bud to relax with after a long day at work! Selene's family is going through some unfortunate circumstances that require them to find a new, safe, forever home for her, and we just know the right family is looking to add this gorgeous girl to their household. If you are interested in adopting Selene we'll help you get in touch with her current family to set up a meet and greet! Note that as a courtesy post, your adoption will be handled directly with this pet's current owner and not through our organization.

Story
From the owner: "If you need someone to keep you warm this winter, look no further: Valli is your guy! He was really small when we found him and had to raise him on a bottle, so he thinks he's a baby and just wants to be cuddled all the time. You'll never fear having to go to the bathroom alone, because he'll be your shadow. He just wants to make sure you're okay in there! He's quirky and funny and will always make you smile. Loves to play with feather wands and anything that rolls or jingles."

Story
From the owner: "I'm devastated to have to give Phoebe up, but I hope she will find a loving new home for the holidays. Phoebe is around 2 and a half years old and was a rescue as a kitten. She's been living in a home with other cats, but has been getting kind of beat up on lately. My older cat has been getting more aggressive with her and it's not fair to Phoebe. Phoebe herself is great with other cats, but tends to be more submissive. I'm sure she would love to be someone's only pet, but would also do good with another chill cat who wouldn't push her around too much. She's gentle and cuddly, but is young enough that she's also still playful (without being overly crazy.) I think she'd do well with kids who are a little on the older side who can respect her space (maybe 7-8+). I think with really young kids, she might be a little nervous and prefer to hide. Phoebe gets regular nail trims and is pretty good about sitting still for them. Sometimes she gets a little squirmy, but she's not very difficult like some cats can be. She's just a really sweet, loving companion, and deserves a home where she doesn't have to be afraid of another animal bullying her."

Story
From the owner: "I hope someone will be able to give sweet, shy Roxanne a great new home. She really needs to be an only cat. Unfortunately my older female has bullied her since she was a kitten, making Roxanne REALLY fearful of other cats. When she's with her people one-on-one she is a TOTAL LOVE BUG, and just wants to curl up with you in a warm blanket and will purr and make biscuits for you. She loves to climb up the cat tree and enjoys chasing jingle-balls and feather toys. Unfortunately, when my other cat is around, she is so traumatized she just hisses and runs to find a place to hide as quickly as possible. It's heartbreaking. We've tried to separate them and do slow-reintroductions, but it's gotten to the point that Roxanne is just terrified and spends a lot of time hiding. She needs someone to love her as an only pet and be patient with her. She's barely over a year old, and already spayed. She currently eats Purina ONE kitten food, but should be ready to switch to an adult kibble now. Just updated her flea treatment so she will be good for a whole month (due again 11/13). Roxanne deserves to be in a home where she doesn't have to be afraid, and we hope a special person or family is out there just for her."

Story
Elgie came in as one hot mess. She was missing fur that seemed to be a flea allergy. Her eyes were crusted shut. Despite it all she just wanted love. For her eyes she was actually suffering from entropion, where her own lashes curled inward and irritated her eyes. Our vet was able to correct this with surgery. As to her skin, that was a tougher matter to figure out and just when we thought we had it corrected with food and allergy medicine, bam, some kittens came in with ringworm and Elgie caught it. It takes a long time to treat and being stuck in a cage all that time really took a toll on her. She fights and hisses when picked up because she thinks she`s being put back in her cage or getting more medicine. We know sweet Elgie is still in there, but it will take being in a home and finally being able to relax for it to come out. She also would like to be the only kitty. We hope there is someone willing to give her a chance, even though she will probably be so rude to you when you meet her!

Story
We think Brutus would like to be an only cat. He can get over stimulated and get aggressive, so we think he`d be better suited to working cat life where there`s lots to do and never get bored. He probably could live in a cat savvy home without children. Probably no dogs.

Story
Ghost was brought in as a stray. He seems fearful of humans and will swipe at cleaners coming into his cage. He is at least 2yrs old and may have lived as an outside cat. He can be friendly out of his cage, but HATES going back in, his ear was tipped at his neuter surgery and he would qualify for the Barn Cat program. **Update** as we get to know him, he`s been very accepting of petting and seems to like attention. He just isn`t used to being picked up or handled more than that and gets bity if overstimulated.
