Story
Tiggerr came to CCHS back in 2022 as a tiny one-month-old kitten. When he was 3 months old, he was adopted but after it wasn`t working out, his adopters chose to set him free to live with the ferals instead of reaching out to us. Tiggerr wasn`t doing well surviving in his own and he was trapped at a business in Portage and brought to CCHS in pretty rough shape. We knew who he was because he was microchipped, thank goodness! He was emaciated, and his skin was falling off of him when you touched him. He was in sad shape. The Vet Clinic we took him to, did a great job getting him the emergent care he needed and Tiggerr is now thriving. Tiggerr is missing some of his ears due to frostbite but other than that, he`s ready to find a home! Tiggerr likes attention but on his own terms. He would be best in a home without young kids because we don`t think he would be tolerant after all he`s been through. Tiggerr would love a home where he could lounge around and watch birds in a feeder! He`s quite content snuggling in a cozy bed and eating a yummy meal. He`s quite a unique cat and we know there`s a home for him! Can you give Tiggerr a safe home with a nice cozy bed to nap on? Apply to meet him at www.cchswi.org

Story
Archie is extraordinary, having the best of everything—he loves to play and he loves to cuddle! Shy is not a word in his vocabulary, but he also has the best of manners. Archie loves to play hunting games with his brother, stalking his favorite toys before pouncing. He is also very friendly and loves people. Now that he is almost four months old he is hoping to find his forever home soon. He doesn’t want to grow up in a shelter! His adoption fee is $80.

Story
Just looking at Kepler, it`s clear he`s frightened in the shelter environment, yet he`s fond of people; the hustle and bustle just aren`t to his liking. Kepler is eager to find a family and a tranquil home where he can thrive. At about 2 years of age, he enjoys cuddles and spending time with humans. Kepler doesn`t seem to mind being picked up and held. He`s a charming cat with striking tiger stripes. To provide him with a loving home, please apply to meet him at www.cchswi.org You won`t regret adopting him when you see him blossom because you gave him a chance!

Story
Edie is a lovely cat who arrived at CCHS in March 2024 because her owner had to move to a memory care facility, and unfortunately, Edie couldn`t go with her. Accustomed to a tranquil life with her previous owner, Edie has found the transition to CCHS challenging. The constant presence of new caregivers and a less quiet environment has led her to become withdrawn, often hiding under her bedding, preferring to be unnoticed. Edie would be an ideal companion for someone who enjoys a peaceful environment and is willing to give her the affection and pampering she needs. She will require time to adapt and may not be at her best when viewed at the shelter outside her safe space. Prospective adopters should be prepared to embrace her as she is and allow her the necessary time to settle into a new home. With patience, Edie will slowly but surely become a loyal and loving presence by your side. If you can give 2 1/2 year old Edie a home, apply to meet her at www.cchswi.org

Story
Ragu is a 1 1/2-year-old cat who needs you! He was rescued from a colony situation so he still looks a little rough but with some TLC, he will be looking much better in no time! Ragu is timid and we had a hard time getting him to look at the camera. He was avoiding eye contact but hopefully over time he will become more confident. You can pick him up and carry him. You can pet him and give him love but he just needs more human contact to gain that confidence to respond. If you have some time, may be another social cat for him to bond with, he will get better! We love seeing how love and kindness makes these cats blossom. Good food helps too! Apply to give Ragu a chance at www.cchswi.org
