Story
Meet Mildred! Mildred was adopted from us previously, but the owners had to return her to us due to no fault of her own. We are looking for a home that fits her personality. She sometimes growls or hissy when being pet or picked up. We have come to learn that this is her way of talking to you and does not mean any harm, but she will still need someone who can give her her space when she needs it and have the patience to let her warm up to them. She has been hanging out in a foster home and this is what her foster family has to say about her `Mildred is a super sweet adult cat who loves to be around people. She just wants to be part of the action! Mildred is very curious about everything and everyone around her. She likes to explore her surroundings and look out the window to see what is going on. Adapting to new environments is not a problem for this adorable cat who will be an instant friend.` Mildred would be best in a home by herself! She will also need regular groomings/brushings as she tends to develop matts near her back end. Mildred is spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee was generously sponsored by a friend of the shelter named Molly! Please fill out an application to meet Mildred! Adopt, Foster, Educate, Advocate!

Story
This fiery feline is ready to find her FURever home! Medusa came to ECCHA quite a while ago and was very sick when she first came in, but with some time and some extra love she is finally ready to go home. Medusa is on a sensitive food diet that will need to be kept up in her FURever home. Medusa has a BIG personality and is not afraid to let you know how she is feeling. She is very sweet, loves neck and ear scratches; but will get over stimulated and love bite when she has had enough. She is super playful and loves her toys! She is the QUEEN! so a household with no small children, dogs or cats is a must! She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and will be microchipped on her adoption day! Her adoption fee has been graciously sponsored by our friends at Markquart Motors! Please contact ECCHA with any other questions! All is PAWSible when you ADOPT!

Story
Hello, I am Felix James, a very handsome 8-year-old tabby cat! I was diagnosed in October of 2023 with diabetes and was surrendered to the shelter in November of 2023 when my owners moved. I have been living in my foster home since November of 2023 with several other cats, some with diabetes too! I am a lap cat and enjoy my people time. I like to climb my tree tower and watch the birds and deer outside to pass the time. I am a very confident cat and get along with the other cats in my foster home. I use my scratching pole and my litter box. I would do best in a home with older children as I do get excited at times and give `love nips`! I LOVE my feline friends, so much so I would love to find my FURever home with my foster brother, Tigerstripe. I know we need some extra care, but we have extra love to give! I do need to have my care monitored by a veterinarian to keep me in good health! We can eat a good quality cat food that can be brought at your local stores just like other cats! We just need to keep an eye on our carbs! Please keep us special needs kitties in mind when you are looking to adopt! My adoption fee has been graciously sponsored in hopes I find a loving home soon! Please fill out an application to meet me!

Story
This is Trixie. She is a beautiful 3-year-old orange and brown tabby cat with soft plush fur who came to the shelter in January as a stray. At the shelter she would hide in the back of her cage and hiss and swat as she was so afraid with all the noise and activity. In March, Trixie was sent into a foster home to see how she would do in a quieter environment. At first, she hid under the bed, but after a few days she came out and started to explore her room and house at her own pace. Trixie prefers to be by her people or where she can see them. Trixie does not like to be confined but does go into her bedroom to nap or watch the birds from the window on her tree tower. She uses her scratching pole but also will scratch at furniture to get your attention. Trixie uses her litterbox and is a very clean kitty. She likes to roll over to get belly rubs but doesn`t like to be held unless she prompts it. She would probably do best in a quieter household with no young children. She would do best if there were people around most of the day as she does get lonely. Do you have room and time for a very special kitty? Trixie will be fully up to date on vaccines and microchipped on her adoption day. Trixie is Markquarts Pet of the Month so her adoption fee has been sponsored!

Story
Our sweet Potato is back! She is looking for a loving home to call her own, could that be yours? Potato was returned to ECCHA for not getting along with younger kids. We are not 100% sure if it is just situational as she thrives at Mr. Kitty`s Cat Café and Boutique where there are lots of kids visiting her throughout the days. We would like for her to be adopted to a family that has older kids (13 years and up) and for the family to please practice a slow introduction once at home. Potato is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $60. Please fill out an application to meet this sweet girl before it is too late!
