With her sharp looks and sharper sense of humor, she`s on the lookout for a savvy human who can appreciate her unique charm. This sassy lady is happiest ruling the roost solo, so she`s looking for a home with no other pets or small children. Julie needs a calm, adult-only household where her boundaries are respected, and her preferences are cherished. If you`re the kind of person who won’t be offended by a quick swat when she’s feeling feisty, Julie might just be your purr-fect match!Ready to be Julie`s loyal subject? Come meet this quirky queen and see if you can handle the sass! ??If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Before you go searching for free kittens or kittens for sale, check your local Shelters for available cats and kittens that have been vetted and are ready to go home. Adopt Don`t Shop.

Story
Meet Wilbert, a charming and playful 5-month-old kitten who’s ready to find his forever home! Wilbert has been thriving in a foster home surrounded by other animals, and he absolutely loves the company of other kittens, especially those around his age. He’s social, curious, and enjoys being part of the action! This sweet boy is also great with kids, making him a perfect fit for families with children aged 2 and up. His gentle nature means he doesn`t mind the hustle and bustle that comes with little ones. Wilbert also gets along well with small dogs. He often shares playful moments with the foster family’s 2-year-old Boston mix, so if you have a dog, Wilbert would likely be a great companion. When he`s not playing, Wilbert loves to cuddle up with his human friends and soak in all the love. He’s an explorer at heart, always ready to check out new corners of his surroundings with a curious gleam in his eye.Wilbert is the perfect balance of playful and snuggly. If you`re looking for a kitten who will thrive in a lively home with other pets, kids, and lots of love, Wilbert could be the one for you! Please remember that they are kittens and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with. This pet is available for adoption, if you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. Story
Meet Momma Lacey, a 2-year-old female Domestic Shorthair.Momma Lacey came to us injured with punctures on her back end, thankfully they are healing nicely. When she came to us she was in pain so she retreated while she was initially healing, but she is feeling much better now. She didn’t enjoy being in her smaller kennel but once we moved her to a larger kennel she was much happier. This girl enjoyed having room to stretch and explore. She is an independent gal who can’t wait to find a home that will keep her safe so she doesn’t get hurt like that again. Story
Meet Forrest, an 8-month-old male Domestic Shorthair.Doesn’t Forrest have the cutest little face? Forrest was left in a box in front of our front gate with multiple other cats. Our staff feared they were too late when they discovered them but thankfully all were still alive when the tub was opened. Forrest likes to talk and is a little shy at first but very sweet. He might do great in a home with another cat. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
