Story
Earthquake is doing well--just not as confident as her sister. She is healthy, growing fast, and has no issues using the litter box (we thought she was making poor choices, but whoever the culprit was, it hasn`t happened for a week). She prefers to stay in `safe` hidden spots throughout the day (under tables, in kitty caves, etc.) but will venture out to watch Tsunami play, eat/drink, and use her litter box. She is very cautious and will need a quiet home with patient owners experienced with cats--people willing to be very intentional about spending time with her daily earning her trust. She and Tsunami spend their day playing and snuggling with one another. When approached, she first hisses, but after a couple of minutes of pets, she often relaxes and sometimes even falls asleep belly up! We enjoy her, have seen slow but steady growth in her confidence, and optimistically think that with enough time, she`ll warm up to people she trusts enough to allow pets. Please remember that they are kittens and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with. This pet is available for adoption at the Ellensburg Humane Society. Story
Meet Daisy, a sweet yet sassy little girl with an unbreakable spirit. Despite everything she’s been through, Daisy remains incredibly smart and resourceful. If she can’t solve a problem on her own, she’ll seek help—proof of her sharp intelligence and determination. Daisy is laid-back and observant, often watching quietly before deciding her next move, whether it’s to join in the fun, take a nap, or simply enjoy the moment. She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings, both big and small dogs as well as cats. While gentle and patient, she knows how to set boundaries with rambunctious playmates, using a light touch—never hissing or scratching—to let them know when they’ve gone too far. This resilient girl is adjusting beautifully to life as a tripod after enduring the challenge of dragging a non-functional leg for over a month. Though she’s relearning how to climb, she happily uses her scratching post and doesn’t let her mobility limitations hold her back. Daisy would thrive in a home with other pets to play with and snuggle, as she adores the company of her foster siblings. Daisy is 6 to 7 months old and is a petite little girl weighing in at 5.6 lb Her favorite pastime? Cuddling in your lap or curling up with her furry friends. Daisy is ready to bring love, companionship, and a touch of sass to her forever home! If you're interested in adopting Daisy email arrfanimalrescue@gmail.com.
