Story
Pudge was born Oct. 2023 on my parent’s property with his two siblings. He is fixed and has been vaccinated. My intention was to keep Pudge and his sister forever, but it seems like he does not get along well with just one cat in our household. He gets along great with all our other cats and he LOVES our dogs. Right now he has access to an outdoor catio that is fully closed in and he does remain an indoor cat. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle! He has began to talk to us more and with encouragement I think he could be a chatterbox! We really love him and want him to have a long healthy life!! I think he could make a perfect companion for someone 🩷

Story
Meet Phillip, our independent and slightly cranky adult cat! ?? Phillip prefers to do things on his own terms, and while he may not be a fan of other cats (he’s not afraid to make it known!), he’s a lovable guy in his own way. Phillip isn’t the type to demand attention, but if you’re patient and respect his space, he’ll reward you with some quiet affection when he’s ready.Phillip would do best in a home with someone who has cat experience and is willing to let him be himself. He’s looking for a calm, understanding environment where he can enjoy his independence and get some love on his own time. If you’re up for a cat with a bit of an attitude who’ll keep you entertained and provide the occasional cuddle, Phillip could be the perfect match for you!If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don`t Shop.

Story
Meet Johnny, a two and a half year old cat weighing around 13 pounds.Johnny actually came in a year ago with a broken pelvis and required FHO surgery to save his leg. Once he had healed from that we thought we had found his forever home. However, he was abandoned with another person back in November and unfortunately they weren’t able to continue to care for him so they brought him in to us. It is always so sad when we have animals come back. The good news is Johnny is doing great a year post op and you wouldn’t even know he had surgery. The person that brought him in said he was very sweet, loving and active… We agree! You should come meet him today! Interested in adopting this or another YHS pet? Story
Meet Jinxy, a four year old and almost ten pound cat.Jinxy was owner surrendered to us because she needed too much attention. She is an incredibly sweet girl who loves human affection and has the most gentle soul. This poor girl did have her front paws declawed so she MUST be an indoor only cat. We ask that adopters look into the possible future health concerns and behaviors that can arise from declaws cat prior to adopting Jinxy so that they are aware and can address them should they arise. She is litter box trained and has been around adults, kids, dogs and cats. Interested in adopting this or another YHS pet?
