Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. The Laughter litter, born 8/11/24, certainly lives up to their name! Every time we play with them, we end up laughing. All of these short-haired kittens are social and fun, and will do well in any sort of home and family. For your amusement, we have: GIGGLE - female, solid black (no collar in video) CHUCKLE - female, solid black (purple collar in video) GRIN - male, orange tabby (no collar in video) (ADOPTED) SNICKER - female, tortoiseshell (ADOPTED) CACKLE - female, black/white tuxedo SNORT - male, orange tabby with white toes & throat (green collar in video) We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $65 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Felicia is a friendly, dainty girl estimated to be about 1 1/2 years old, who adores people and will happily perch on your lap for endless pets. You can find Felicia on the catio of her room patiently waiting to say hello to socializers and volunteers; she’s always one of the first to get in line for love and attention. Currently Felicia shares a room with 5 other cats. While she tolerates her roommates, we’ve noted that Felicia would probably prefer a home with no other cats - though she is fine with dogs. She tends to give herself some space from the cats in her room and will growl if she feels they are too close, especially if there’s a person nearby and she might miss out on attention. Felicia is loving girl and would fit in fine with just about any family. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Felicia is a suggested minimum of $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Florence This sweet and playful girl, estimated to be around 8-10 years old, arrived as a stray and was never claimed. She's currently living in a foster home with two other adoptable cats, but would really prefer to be the only cat in her family. Florence loves attention and will likely want to sleep on her person's bed with them. She adores a good wand toy or feather toy, and is overall a pretty easy cat who should fit in quickly with pretty much any type of family. Florence appears quite healthy, and we will be having a baseline senior blood panel run so her adopter will have all her current values for future monitoring. (Your vet thanks you). If you would love to have just one cat to bond with, a furry companion for the upcoming winter nights, and crave the healing power of purrrrrrrrs, Florence would be a terrific choice. If you have a cat-friendly dog, we'll be happy to see if Florence feels more friendly toward dogs than she does toward other cats (there are no dogs in her foster home). All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Florence is a suggested minimum of $25 or Senior for Senior (more gratefully accepted).
Storm and Fog, brothers born 9/10/24, arrived as part of a feral colony on which we did Trap-Neuter-Return. As you can see, they clearly prefer life indoors with the humans, and are ready to bring their fun-loving purrrsonalities to new homes. These handsome dark grey boys have faint tabby markings, and we expect them to adapt quickly to pretty much any type of home and family. They'd be happy to head home together, but would also do fine separated into homes with another similarly aged kitten playmate. We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome.
