Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. The Laughter litter, born 8/11/24, certainly lives up to their name! Every time we play with them, we end up laughing. All of these short-haired kittens are social and fun, and will do well in any sort of home and family. For your amusement, we have: GIGGLE - female, solid black (no collar in video) CHUCKLE - female, solid black (purple collar in video) GRIN - male, orange tabby (no collar in video) (ADOPTED) SNICKER - female, tortoiseshell (ADOPTED) CACKLE - female, black/white tuxedo SNORT - male, orange tabby with white toes & throat (green collar in video) We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $65 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Felicia is a friendly, dainty girl estimated to be about 1 1/2 years old, who adores people and will happily perch on your lap for endless pets. You can find Felicia on the catio of her room patiently waiting to say hello to socializers and volunteers; she’s always one of the first to get in line for love and attention. Currently Felicia shares a room with 5 other cats. While she tolerates her roommates, we’ve noted that Felicia would probably prefer a home with no other cats - though she is fine with dogs. She tends to give herself some space from the cats in her room and will growl if she feels they are too close, especially if there’s a person nearby and she might miss out on attention. Felicia is loving girl and would fit in fine with just about any family. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Felicia is a suggested minimum of $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Florence This sweet and playful girl, estimated to be around 8-10 years old, arrived as a stray and was never claimed. She's currently living in a foster home with two other adoptable cats, but would really prefer to be the only cat in her family. Florence loves attention and will likely want to sleep on her person's bed with them. She adores a good wand toy or feather toy, and is overall a pretty easy cat who should fit in quickly with pretty much any type of family. Florence appears quite healthy, and we will be having a baseline senior blood panel run so her adopter will have all her current values for future monitoring. (Your vet thanks you). If you would love to have just one cat to bond with, a furry companion for the upcoming winter nights, and crave the healing power of purrrrrrrrs, Florence would be a terrific choice. If you have a cat-friendly dog, we'll be happy to see if Florence feels more friendly toward dogs than she does toward other cats (there are no dogs in her foster home). All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Florence is a suggested minimum of $25 or Senior for Senior (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. VOTE FOR PEDRO! Like so many of the cats we take in, Pedro is the offspring of a cat abandoned in a rural area. Unable to care for them all, the person who found them brought them to us. The last step in his journey will be his very own forever home! About a year and a half old, Pedro has been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and has perfect litter box manners. He gets along great with other cats and we're sure will do well with cat friendly canines too, given some time to get used to them. Like his namesake, English is his second language, and he can be a little shy with new people. Once he knows he can trust you, he's the sweetest more lovable kitty you'd ever want to know and is ready to great you the minute you walk through the door. Even if you don't have a baby for him to kiss. The planks of his Black Cats Rule party platform include lots of quality time with your best buddy, snuggle sessions and plenty of treats for all! Oh, and don't worry, his $50 adoption fee does not constitute influence peddling. No need to wait for November, you can vote for Pedro right now! To do so, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://www.pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application call Gina at (480)779-9208. We guarantee you'll never be happier about the results of an election! A PLEA FOR BLACK CATS! Did you know that black cats are the hardest to find good homes for? Though silly superstitions still persist, there's no good reason for that. Black cats just tend to get overlooked when there are more colorful cats around. We think they're the cat's meow, sleek, suave and sophisticated. Not to mention having the best personalities! Please consider giving a black kitty like Pedro the loving home he's been waiting for. You'll be very glad you did!

Story
INTRODUCING DOTTIE AND TOMMY! Two more little muffins who came to us in pitiful shape. Thankfully Lynn, one of our wonderful fosters, was there with lots of TLC when they needed her. Now, nursed back to glowing health, these siblings are ready and waiting for their forever home! About 5 months old, they have been spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated and have perfected their litter box skills. Tommy, apparently the runt of the litter, is smaller and lighter grey than his sister, at this point, anyway. Dottie is so named because of the distinctive grey dot on her white belly, which you can see in one of the pictures. As friendly and cuddly as they can be, they're being fostered with other cats and a dog and get along well with everyone, two legged and four. Very curious about everything in their brand-new world; toys on sticks, lasers and catnip all have their enthusiastic seal of approval! Very interested in whatever is going on, they're always where the action is, and even do well in their carrier on car rides. After all they've been through in their short lives, they'd love to be adopted together so they always have a buddy to play and snuggle with. Two kittens mean twice the love for you too, and what could be better than that? Take these love bugs home for an adoption fee of just $100 for the pair. To meet them, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. Tommy and Dottie are ready and waiting to pack their bags and join you forever. Just say the word!
