Kenna and Harbor are a bonded tuxedo sister pair. They were rescued as youngsters, then adopted, only to be returned to us by Animal Control when they were taken from their owner due to a hoarding situation. They did great when they were with the rescue previously; unfortunately, they both regressed and it has taken us months to get them to trust humans again. But now, although neither one likes being held, they are ready to find their forever home together! Kenna is definitely the protector of her sister. Kenna is a great model! Every time her foster mom tries to take photos of the other cats, it’s really difficult because Kenna LOVES to be the center of attention! Harbor has beautiful markings on her face! She loves to lay on the cat tree and watch what’s happening outside.  They both love playing with wands, watching cat TV, and sleeping in the cat tree. Currently, they’re eating Fancy Feast gravy lovers wet food and Purina One adult dry food. They get along with cats, dogs, and kids. Hi, my name is Basil!  I’m a gorgeous, petite gray girl with a seriously playful inner kitten! I have been on a LONG road to find my happily ever after.  I came to Animal Control as a mama when I was around 2, and then I came to BTKR to get ready for adoption.  I was adopted, but then a few months ago, through no fault of my own, my family surrendered me.  When I came back to the rescue, I was really scared, and they aren’t quite sure what might have happened to me, but they know for sure that I will need a really calm, quiet home with adults only, who will be patient with me and give me time to feel safe and comfortable. Once I feel safe, you will see a WHOLE other side of me—I turn into a lovin, playin machine!  I LOVE pets, and I will come up behind you and gently bonk your head with mine to let you know I’m there and waiting for pets.  I’m not a fan of being picked up, but I like to be near you, and I’m very affectionate.  I’m very chatty and like to discuss all the events of the day with you. I really love to play!  I don’t think I had a chance to really be a kitten before I became a mama myself.  I really want a family who will play with me a lot and help me make up for lost time.  I adore wand toys with feathers—I will hear them from anywhere and come running!  I also love tall cat trees, as having a high up place to perch helps me to feel secure.   I’m a big fan of cozy cave beds, especially on cold days.  And I LOVE a good window view to watch the goings on of the world!   I have a good appetite, and I really enjoy wet food a lot.  If there are other cats in the home, I prefer to have my own eating space; I’m not sure why, but I get a little bit nervous about sharing my food, and sometimes I will run off if other cats are near my food.  I do like other cats, but not if they are very dominant or overly pushy with me.  I can get intimidated easily, so I’ll need a home where any other cats are very calm and gentle.   I do sometimes get a runny eye if I’m under the weather or stressed; it turns out that I have a really minor virus, the herpes virus, that pretty much all cats are exposed to in our lives.  Most kitties never show symptoms, but some of us have occasional flares with it.  It’s not contagious to humans, so don’t worry!  Mine turns up in that darn runny eye. **must be adopted with Rip** Beth (born February 2022) is white with brown and black markings with the cutest “beauty mark” under her nose. She is a little timid at first, but once she gets to know you, she is very sweet and enjoys getting pets. She has started to enjoy laying on the couch with her foster parents and will even lay in the bed with them at night sometimes. She has the absolute cutest, smallest, squeaky meow ever that doesn’t match what you would expect from a full grown cat. She likes to play with cat wand toys, especially if it has feathers attached to it. She will actually start innocently growling when she catches the feathers and she tries to pull the toy out of your hand and run off with it as if she’s saying “mine, don’t touch!” If you try to take it from her, she is fine (the growling is totally just a front) and she will continue to play with it forever! She also loves small plastic toys that she can scoot around on hard flooring, like plastic spring toys or even water bottle caps. She likes to be up high, so a tall cat tree would be good. She loves to look out the window at the birds, squirrels, or people walking by. She has never been around dogs or kids and would do best in a quieter home. She and her brother Rip like to run around the house chasing each other, but they would both benefit from someone who would take the time to play with them on a regular. She is in a bonded pair with her brother, Rip, so they must be adopted together. **must be adopted with Beth** Rip (born February 2022) is a handsome white and grey fellow. He is very timid at first, and needs someone who will have patience with him. He is a very good boy, just very cautious and doesn’t like a lot of commotion or loud noises. He would do best in a quieter home without dogs or small kids. He is a play machine!!! He loves to run around and chase his sister Beth, but he would definitely benefit from someone who will play with him on a regular. He likes to play with all kinds of toys. He likes wand toys that have feathers attached, and he will jump so high to try and catch them. His all time favorite toy is a wand toy that the string and actual toy part is broken off of. It literally just has the plastic wand part of the toy left. His foster parents call it “Rip’s stick” and it will definitely be going to his new home with him! For some reason he loves to play with the stick end of the toy. He’ll run all over the place trying to catch it! If you run it around him he will chase it in circles over and over again until he starts panting. You end up having to make him take a break until he calms down, because he will just keep going and going! He’s a very vocal cat and a lot of times he will speak when you call his name. He loves to lay on the cat tree in front of the window so he can see all the birds, animals, and people going by, so a window perch or cat tree in front of the window would be great for him. He is slowly starting to like pets more and more as time goes by. It might take a little time to earn his trust, but once you do it is so worth it. Rip is in a bonded pair with his sister, Beth so they must be adopted together. Meet Fowler! He’s an adorable tabico boy who’s looking for a loving human to call his own! He’s sweet but still cautious around people, so he’ll need a patient adopter who is willing to give him the time he needs to settle in and warm up to his new environment. The key to his heart? TOYS! This fellow loves to play, so that’s a great icebreaker. Calm, quiet, and curious I love cuddling with Star and going outside on a catio. I enjoy spending time with other cats and adults that can give me time to bond with them. I am described as Cautious, friendly, playful, active, and shy. I like to be pet on my head and neck!

Saki was left with my daughter and I. We have had him for several years now and love Saki very much, but she has already had one surgery to remove her adenoids and still cant breathe due to cat allergies. The ENT said he has to go, we want him to go to a loving home, preferably with older children if any who know how to be kind to animals. Saki is very affectionate and loving. Though he is older, he has tons of energy, no health issues and regularly leaps from the armoir to the couch. I will be happy to help out upfront with any vet fees, and he will come with food, litter etc. He has always been an inside cat that likes to be picked up and carried. Loves to sleep next to people, and loves to receive love. Not a typical cat. Hes a baby and a real companion, who is vocal and thrives on attention. He will make a great companion for years to come for the right person/family!

Hey guys, it really breaks my heart to have to surrender this cat but he was abandoned by an ex-girlfriend and I am currently about to move and I don’t have the means to take him with me. He is a really sweet boy and he just needs a family to love him. Very loving, kind, and energetic.
