Story
My name is Gracie and I have called this shelter "home" for too long! I am ready to begin a new life with you! I prefer to be an only child and not share any attention. I don't really play a lot but I LOVE to sit in your lap and be brushed! Like A LOT! I am very petite and dainty with a signature heart on my nose. I am ready to love and be loved! I will need a very dedicated human to care for me because I carry the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). But don't worry, I can't pass it to humans and if I am well cared for, I can live a long happy life just like cats without FIV! Could you be the forever home I have been waiting for?Note: Gracie is FIV+ . FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is not a deadly virus. FIV+ cats with homes can and DO live long, healthy normal lives when given the chance. They can live & interact with cats that are not FIV + as it is not easily spread to other cats; it cannot be spread to dogs or humans. Statistically, most FIV + cats can live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. Kittens born to FIV + mothers are at low risk for infection, although they may initially test positive due to the presence of maternal antibodies. For more information on FIV please refer to the following link: https://vbspca.com/what-you-should-know-when-adopting-an-fiv-positive-cat?sfns=moLocation: Temporary foster home. Story
Toulouse is my name, and playing is my game! I love wrestling with my brother, Berlioz, or chasing toys with my sister, Marie. If I am not playing with my siblings, then I am looking for love and cuddles from my human. Once you touch me, my purr motor turns on and never stops! I love attention. I have lots of energy, and love my siblings so much that I need to be adopted with either my brother, Berlioz, or my sister, Marie. I am a very good boy, who loves meal time. I am a growing boy, after all! If you want fun and love in your life, then you should take me home, along with one of my siblings of course!Location: The MeowManor - cat boarding98 Nelson DriveNewport News, Va.Days & Times by Appt. For an appointment, please 1) fill out an online adoption application first and 2) email:adopt@thecatcornerinc.com to request an after hours appointment.More Adoption details: An important part of the process is to match the life-style and needs of theadopter with the individual animal being adopted. Once you have fallen in love with your purrfectmatch, you will need to complete an adoption application. Story
Hello, I'm Berlioz! I am a super sweet boy that loves to cuddle and play. I enjoy wrestling with my brother, Toulouse, playing with a wand toy, or just chasing after jingle ball toys. If I am not playing, I like to cuddle with my humans. At night, I snuggle right up next to them in bed and enjoy my snooze. I would love to have another cat friend to play with in my forever home. If you are looking for a loving, soft, sweet kitten, then I'm your guy!Location: The MeowManor - cat boarding98 Nelson DriveNewport News, Va.Days & Times by Appt. Story
Tiramisu is a sweet as her name! She was found as a very pregnant stray kitty and was a wonderful mom to her kittens. Tira enjoys climbing cats trees, solving great puzzles, and spending time with her foster dad when he works from home. She is not a high energy cat, but prefers lounging near her favorite humans and enjoys a few pets through the day. She is very loving to her humans, but Tira absolutely must be an only cat. She is terrified of other cats and becomes extremely distressed when another cat is within her eyesight. If you are looking for a sweet cat to be an only cat, Tira is the one for you!Location: Temporary foster home. Story
Meet Loteria!Loteria is a sweet little lady who loves pets and affection, especially chin and ear scratches! She will happily snuggle up with you especially if you have a fluffy blanket on your lap. She is an expert biscuit maker and will show you her skills the minute you start talking to her. Loteria is still young so can be playful at times but in general is a pretty laid back cat. You can often find her sprawled out in sunny or cozy spots in the house! Although this sweet girl may be shy at first, once she warms up to you, she will follow you around the house, talk to you, and accept all the love you can give. Loteria has been around a small dog in foster, and although they aren't friends, they are doing okay living together! If your feeling lucky, fill out an application on Loteria today and schedule a time to meet this lovebug! My name is Candy and I'm ready to meet my forever humans! I LOVE people! As soon as I see you I'll come over purring and ready for attention. Being loved on is great, and chin scratches in particular are the absolute best. I'm still learning about cuddling, but my foster mom says she thinks that soon I'll be the cuddliest cuddler ever! I love to be pet and I go crazy for a laser! I might be considered an adult, but I have a lot of playful energy and curiosity like a kitten. While I love being around people, I also am a perfect angel when I'm left alone. No need to worry about me getting up to mischief - my schedule is full with naps and chasing around fluffy balls!
