Story
Cupid is an adorable neutered male grey and white Domestic Shorthair cat. He is currently in foster care, and is available for adoption! If you are looking for a sweet, lovable and fun kitten, pick Cupid! Cupid was diagnosed as having a seizure disorder when he was a young kitten. As a result, he has to take daily medication which he takes in pill pockets. Luckily, he seldom has seizures now, but will need someone willing to keep up with his medication and vet visits. He has some vision and hearing loss from the seizures, but he gets around well and loves chasing those invisible rainbows and unicorns. Sometimes when he is playing hard, he gives little bites, so a home with no small children would be best. He adores other cats and dogs and would love to have a furry friend to play with. He loves to snuggle up in the hammock for a nap with his foster dad and would be a wonderful companion for someone who works from home. He is currently working on leash training too! Cupid is micro-chipped, current on vaccinations, and neutered. If you would like to fill out an application please do so at http://www.catscradleva.org/adopt Updated December, 2022

Story
09/19/24 - Text is better for any questions - Void is such an energetic boy. Always running around and being so full of energy that he has no idea what to do with it. He is also very loving, rubbing against your leg and following you around. But don't look in his eyes, he embodies the no thoughts behind them mentality. We would like for a family who has the energy to play around with this baby boy and give him lots of love! We would prefer if both Shadow and Void were adopted together as they seemed to be bonded.

Story
09/19/24 - Text is better for any questions - This little twin brother of Void is a bundle of joy. He loves being played with, petted, carried, or even just laying in your lap. Shadow here is the perfect example of an energetic lap cat. While he does love relaxing with you, he is also very curious about things around him. But watch out, if he lays down at your feet, he may try to play with them. Though, I assume you he means now harm! Just playful through and through! We would prefer if both Shadow and Void were adopted together as they seemed to be bonded.

We are introducing the gorgeous, the greatest, the magical: Aurora Jane! This fanciful 6 month-old fur-friend is a Domestic Short-hair mix with a stunning tortoiseshell coat! She is a very confident kitten who enjoys games of hide-and-seek with her siblings, and is the very best at seeking! Aurora Jane is fond of her bell ball toys and likes to chase them in circles for her daily exercise. She also uses her scratch post daily and says this is a requirement for her new home. We expect she will adjust to most any home environment as long as she is inside and kept socialized and cuddled. This gal is going to make the very best addition to your heart, won't you apply to bring her home today? * $175 plus transport fee (varies) for adoptions to the Northeast.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Story
"OK, hoomans, here's the deal. I lost my digs when my hooman moved into assisted living. I've tried my best to live with this other hooman, but she has FOUR other cats, and, well, they annoy me because they are young and noisy; and I am an old lady. I lived with my other hooman as the only cat. I was pampered and had full reign of my kingdom. Honestly, it was great. Now I've been at these new digs for over a year. I just don't like these other cats. I need a quiet environment with no other animals or noisy kids to live out my last days in peace. I don't like change. And I'm not gonna lie--it will be really hard for me to adjust again. I need a patient hooman who will earn my trust slowly. I don't like being handled. I just want a sun spot and a soft bed and some peace and quiet. It took months before I let the other hooman touch me. I might seem aggressive, but honestly I'm just afraid. Do you have a pet-free, child-free home where I can crash out my last years? Thanks!"

CLIFFHANGER IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! This is Cliffhanger, a lovely tabby/white small female kitty who was born around 6/28/2023.  She is very affectionate and playful. She loves NAPS.  If you cannot find her, she is likely snuggled up taking a nap.  The perfect work-from-home companion kitty.  She loves to play and loves all cat toys and is definitely loads of fun. She loves to find an open drawer to snuggle in and she is very inquisitive. She could probably be a single kitty, but would also do well with a friendly low-key kitty.  She has never been around dogs and is not recommended for a dog home. She is neutered, has had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test.  The adoption fee of $295 also includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring her up north once she is adopted. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and complete an online application using this link: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.   Once your application is received and processed you will be contacted by an NBAR Volunteer.
