Story
Meet Wild Catty: A Loving Cat with a Street-Wise Past Wild Catty, once a street cat, adopted us before we officially adopted him. After earning his trust, we got him vaccinated and neutered. However, a recent move has made it clear he needs a better-suited home. Wild Catty is loving and will nap on your chest or shoulders. He craves affection but will let you know when he’s had enough. His street-cat past makes him very food-motivated—he’ll raid trash cans, cabinets, or grab food if left unguarded. Managing this with a one-year-old has been challenging, as he’ll try to take food from little hands. He’s fine with other animals if they’re okay with him but can be food-competitive, needing separate feeding. His ideal home would have no other pets, patient owners, and a prepared space to manage his food-driven nature. Wild Catty is full of love and needs the right home to thrive!

Story
Fiona is a beautiful and intelligent kitty that will need a cat experienced adopter to help her continue to flourish. Fiona is very shy and takes quite a while to warm up to new people but that doesn't mean she isn't a happy lady. She really seems to enjoy being with other cats in her foster home, often seen snuggling with someone in a soft blanket and being close during meal times. While Fiona will likely never be a lap cat, she deserves a happy life with a family that is patient and willing to let her have space to grow confidence. We would love to find her a forever home with someone willing to continue socializing her and working with our team on methods we have found helpful in helping kitties acclimate to new environments. To be considered as a prospective adopter please tell us how you think you can help Fiona so she can live out her life with lots of care and love in your adoption application. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Please understand you will be contacted only if your application is approved.

Story
Oh, Oreo, you've come so far! This silly little 11 year old gal was adopted several years ago and unfortunately returned when her owner had to move across the country and fell on hard times. Oreo was quite scared when she came back to us and took months and months to even come out of her carrier in her foster home. It was heartbreaking. Fast forward to now, she has come leaps and bounds from the carrier dweller she once was but she still does like to find cozy places to hunker down… like under the sink in her foster mom's bathroom. Oreo has surprised us the last several weeks as she's been out and about exploring, hanging on the couch with her foster family watching tv, and accepting pets with some purrs in exchange. She's not a cuddle bug just yet, but we're confident that once she's in a forever home that allows her to settle in time, she's going to flourish into the laid back senior sweetie she's always meant to be. If you're considering a companion and think Oreo would be a good fit for you, we're accepting applications for cat experienced potential adopters! To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Please understand you will be contacted only if your application is approved.

Story
Figgy Newton is a truly special girl that has been through so much. We know that there's someone reading this right now that will feel connected to her and want to give her the forever home that she deserves. She's so affectionate and just as sweet as a fig, with a little bit of nuttiness that she shows with her playful antics. She loves to rub her face across yours and give little kisses as she nuzzles your nose. She's a happy girl with a comfy bed and a window to look out all day long. Figgy was found laying in the middle of the road on a hot summer day, seemingly unaware that she was in imminent danger. Our volunteer scooped her up off the hot pavement and took her home where she realized Figgy had an enormous eye ball that needed medical attention. She had a successful enucleation and makes one beautiful one eyed kitty with her silky black coat setting off the golden eye she still has. Her loss of her eye was no big deal, as she adjusted quickly and acts like a normal kitty. Unfortunately, we learned that Figgy is FeLV (feline leukemia) positive. She's lucky that we were able to rescue her because she has a much better prognosis being an indoor only cat with the best environment to thrive. Since Figgy Newton is FeLV positive she is not able to live with FeLV negative cats. We think she will be happiest as an only cat, so this shouldn't be an issue for her. She can also live with other FeLV positive cats but we are unsure how she will get along with them. She doesn't enjoy dogs. We're happy to chat more about FeLV to ensure adopters have all of the information they need to feel comfortable adopting Figgy. She is currently healthy with normal bloodwork very recently and doing super well!

Story
Nyx is a highly engaged, affectionate female brown tabby who loves to go on inside adventures with her human. She loves everything from belly rubs to gentle headbutts, lots of wand and toy mouse play, and following you along to explore your world as you go about your daily life. An ever present companion, she cherishes chin scritches, inclusion, and treats. Nyx loves to explore her world and the more varying heights you have available to her, the better. She is constantly perched on cat trees, sofa backs, chest of drawers, anywhere she can safely get an expanded view of her world. She is delightfully curious and wants to be in the middle of everything you do! She does great on a mix of wet and dry foods and is especially fond of temptations and churu treats with lots of fresh, cold water. She`ll come join you at the faucet and ask for a drink so we keep little ramekins around as it`s become a bonding experience with her.Nyx has a wonderful demeanor and seems to have a never ending tolerance for pets and play. Would be ideal for younger children as she has wonderful communication skills (body language and tail talk) and not easily overstimulated. She loves to be engaged at her level on the floor and will flip, chase wands, and see you as a hunting partner in all her escapades. She is quite stealthy and deftly moves around the home climbing approved areas with ease never knocking down knick knacks or decorations. Her favorite toys are feather wands, stuffed mice, and cardboard toilet paper rolls. She is also really good about using her favorite scratching posts and leaves all your furniture alone. She has purrfect litter box manners and a consistent 7&7 mealtime. When you`re busy, she enjoys dedicated cat beds, blankets, and window time in the sun.Important facts about Nyx: she is a young adult cat with good energy and desire for engagement. Her ideal family will be able to provide consistent play and enrichment opportunities throughout the day. *She has met and engaged well with other humans whilst in our care (not other cats/dogs/children) and temperament suggests she would thrive in most settings where she has space to explore and a territory of her own. Our team is happy to discuss these topics during your appointment.*If you are interested in adopting Nyx, please email khhodge@gmail.com to set up a virtual meet and greet with the pet`s foster parent. You should receive a reply in 24-48 hours.

Story
Hi there, I’m Autumn. I’ve had a bit of a rough start in this world, living outdoors and having litters of kittens before I, myself was an adult cat, many of which didn’t make it. I was recently spayed and saved from the difficult outdoor life. Boy, am really getting used to warm cushy blankets, regular tasty meals and pets from my new human friends! I also love scratch posts and playing. I’ll admit, I can be a bit of a "potty mouth" at times, hissing at the other two kitties in my current living situation, but I wouldn’t hurt a fly. Because I’ve had a difficult start, I’m slow to trust but I can’t wait until I find my forever home and humans who are going to love and care for me for the rest of my life. Could that be you?
