Story
Riki was a stray kitten that wondered into my life. He is roughly 6-7months old. He is super playful and loves to lay on legs. He is still learning boundaries with affectionate and growing out of the kitten biting phase. He does great with my dog, but has grown territorial with my cat. Riki would love a home where he can play in tunnels and chase toys all day. When done with all that playing can cuddle on the couch or bed. Riki would do well with another cat if properly introduced which I do not have the space to do so.

Story
Boba is the sweetest boy with a troubled past! He has had a very rough life in his short 2 years! We don’t know much about his life before coming to us at Furry Friends animal aid but we know it wasn’t great. When Boba was surrendered to a high kill shelter in October of 2022 the person who surrendered him stated that Boba was a stray on the streets in Houston his first year of life and then the person brought him inside only to decide they could not handle as many cats as they had. So poor Boba was taken to the high kill shelter where he was put straight onto death row! Luckily FFAA stepped in and pulled a miracle out of the hat 30 minutes before his dead line! Boba was terrified rightfully so! He was so afraid of everyone and everything at the pound he would not let anyone touch him! Boba is safely with his foster family now and he has let them know that he is not a mean or bad boy at all!! He is the sweetest, goofy boy when given the chance! Because of all he has gone though it takes him longer than most cats to warm up to new people and places. As of now his foster mom can pick up cuddle love and give belly rubs but other humans, he knows can pet him and strangers cause him to hide. Boba has so much love to give to the person who will take the time and allow him to adjust to new environments and people in his own time. It took a few weeks for Boba to appreciate any human contact without flinching and being afraid. He spent a month in his kennel decompressing from the trauma of his past and adjusting to his new foster home. He showed he is much more comfortable around other cats than he is people but started to “talk” to foster mom at night when the house was quiet and FM was trying to sleep! She didn’t mind though these conversations helped boba adjust and got him ready to come out of the kennel! Once he openly accepted touch and sought out human contact, the doors to Boba’s kennel started being left open. After some coaxing and reassurance from the resident cats Boba was free in the bed room! He went into hiding but as always came out for food! And after a few days surprised everyone with the amount of love he could not wait to share! Boba climbed into bed with his foster mom… curled up next to her and allowed her to pet him all over and even touch the belly!! Toe beans and belly were all presented to foster mom to touch! Now if foster mom lays down in bed he comes up for cuddles and he is sleeping in the bed when no one is around. He still chooses not to leave the bedroom very often and has made his kennel his safe space. If anything becomes to much for him or he just wants a break from the other cats he will go into his kennel and enjoy some alone time. He adores other cats greets them with chirps and coo’s but is a submissive boy if the other cat is to dominate Boba will hide instead of standing up for himself. Being submissive he should be good with any other cats; the people will just need to make sure Boba doesn’t get bullied. He is going to need a very special adopter who understands he is going to take TIME and he cannot be rushed into socializing or big changes. We have allowed him to move at his own pace, following his lead and comfort level in his progress. Which is what he needs and only adopters who can commit to him and this process will be considered.

Story
This is Bella, she was rescued from the bushes near a busy street. She is so sweet and loves being petted. She is good with kids of all ages. As far as we know, she has not been around dogs. She is fixed, vaccinated, and uses the potty box. She is very playful and gets along with other cats. In fact, she adopted a down syndrome cat we have and helped her learn where to eat and where the potty box was. After the down syndrome cat learned everything Bella felt comfortable playing on her own.

Story
Grumpy But LovingMy name is Clancy and I am a pouncy, fun boy that loves to play.  I have an issue with change and need a little patience the first couple of days. I make friends easily and love humans so much. I am just grumpy when I move to a new surrounding.  I will growl and sound like I am angry, but I will not scratch or bite. Just letting you know that I need time to adjust.  I also get grumpy when things do not go my way. I am a little extra and need someone with understanding. I am a young boy that has brought so much joy into my Foster family’s home. I made best friends with the Labrador on my first day. I wanted to play with the other kittens, but it took them a few days to get used to me.  But the Human I would jump in her lap, growl and purr at the same time. By the 3rd day, I was her bestest buddy and slept in bed with her, purring all night long.  When playing, I growl like I am angry, but I am just playing and will do no harm.  I get along with younger kitties and kitties that are not timid, because my growling is intimidating, the timid kitties will hide.  I love chasing anything that moves, and playing with my sister running around the house, the laser pointer is lots of fun.   I love to pounce and play. My expressions are priceless!  Give me a Churu stick (or other puree type treats) for kitties and we will be forever besties!  I prefer to be where ever my Human is. I love to sleep with my Human and give midnight kisses.  My Foster says that I have brought so much joy to her and wants me to share it with others. She thinks I would be happiest as the only cat in the house with lots of human interaction. I would be ok with one friendly dog too. My bestie is Spring, my foster sister. Spring and I do everything together and will make a great Duo if you would like to adopt a pair.  My adoption fee is $85. Apply to adopt: toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DCMHRQZTNovember 5, 2024, 9:38 pm

Story
Petite sweet girlSpring is a sweet petite girl who is very vocal. When you enter a room, she will say hello and loves a lot of attention and affection. Spring was raised in one foster home with many other foster siblings, including a Labrador Retriever. She loves to play and is very outgoing.   At the adoption events, people always comment about how silky her fur is. She is very soft and sleek. Spring is besties with her Foster brother Clancy. It would be awesome if she was adopted along with one of her besties, but not necessary. Spring is such a great furbaby at home, but at adoptions events, she can get a little grumpy.  Spring's adoption fee is $85 which includes all of her vetting. She can also be transported to the Northeast for $200 on 3/14/2023. https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DCMHRQZTNovember 5, 2024, 9:38 pm

Story
Introducing Livy, the animated sweetheart looking for her forever home! Livy's story is one of resilience and second chances. She was adopted before but had to be returned due to her elderly owner's new living arrangements. Now, she's on a quest to find a loving family that will give her the warm and secure home she deserves. Livy is a very sweet girl who craves affection and isn't afraid to let her favorite person know it. She loves to vocalize her happiness and will purr her way into your heart. Her previous owner allowed her to go both indoors and outdoors, so she would prefer a lifestyle that allows her some freedom. She enjoys both dry food and canned food, savoring every meal with delight. At her mature age, Livy is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the wisdom and charm that comes with experience. While she didn't grow up with other animals, she tolerates her foster siblings. However, Livy would be most content as the sole pet in a home. Livy's adoption fee is $85, which includes her spaying, microchipping, and full vaccination. She is ready to join a loving family and create new memories filled with love and joy. If you're looking for a feline companion who has been through life's ups and downs and emerged as a beautiful soul, then Livy is the one for you. Offer her the chance of a forever home, and you'll be rewarded with a lifetime of love and companionship. Contact us now to meet Livy and embark on a journey together!   Livy can be transported from Texas for $150, this includes her transport fees and health certificate.   Apply to adopt: toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DCMHRQZT  November 5, 2024, 9:38 pm

Story
I found kitty on the street, she was one or two months old, I took her my apartment hoping I could keep her unfortunately my apartment complex is now charging me an amount that I can’t afford, and I feel my work schedule is not the best. I work full time and spend very little time at home with her. She is now 6 month or so. I have a cooler full of food for her, her own tree house and litter box … She has some toys. I am willing to give all of that so she can take it with her..
