While he still does not like the other cats in "his" home, he tolerates them provided they do not bother him at all. We've had a LOT of people with cats interested in him, and we will consider a home with another cat for him, but that home MUST UNDERSTAND it will take a long time for him to tolerate other cats - a minimum of 6-8 months. Toliver is a super chonky boi on a weight loss journey. He can be playful in short spurts and LOVES toys, so that will help with getting him to lose some weight. He does not like being picked up…likely due to being so overweight/it's uncomfortable for him. He loves to be scratched on his head, face and neck, as well as being brushed. He’s very good at using his litter box and scratching posts. He enjoys sitting in the sun on his windowsill. He does give love bites on occasion so he's not a good match for a home with small kids. I was once lost and starving. I knew I needed help so I found some lovely humans to take care of me. I am their foster kitty now until they can find me a Furever Home. I love to play with all my toys and climb in my tall tower, but mostly I love to have shoulder time. I will curl up in someone’s lap after I have had time to play and burn off energy. I do have special dietary needs. I was born with a condition called MegaEsophagus. I need to eat small wet meals 2 times a day, morning and night, from a special elevated dish so that I can eat at a 45 degree angle. It is best for me to be held upright for a few minutes after I eat but I haven’t needed that now that I am older. It is important that I do not eat kibble or solid food. I would love to have a playmate but you will have to be patient as we get to know each other. I would love someone who is home most of the time to give me snuggles and play with me. My foster mom has harness trained me so I can learn to be an emotional support animal. Please adopt me and I will love you more than you can possibly imagine. Hi there! My name is Silver and I am looking for my forever home. I thought I had my forever home for a couple of years, but my previous family had some hardships so they made the painful decision to surrender me back to Habitat 4 Paws. I’ve been with a great foster family for a few months and I am slowly coming out of my shell. I’ve been through so much in the last couple of years that I have a hard time trusting and adjusting to new surroundings, but I’ll get there! In my foster home, I have a playful cat sibling and a dog who’s a little bit afraid of me. In my true forever home, I’d love to have a playful cat sibling (I LOVE KITTENS!) or a small playful dog. I do have one quirk. I drink water by dipping my paw into the bowl and then licking the water off my paw. If you add ice cubes to my water bowl....wow, that's a good time!! I love scratching on my cat tree and exploring the house when it’s quiet. At first in my foster home, I wouldn’t come out of my hiding spot except at night when the house was quiet. Now, I come out and interact with my foster siblings during the day, too. I love to chase the little red dot laser pointer and that feather on a stick. I’m also the world’s best fly catcher! You humans are still a bit scary sometimes, but once in awhile I wind up in a human lap and accept all the love and scratches. I'd do better in a home without a lot of noise, so small kids might not be the best for me. I’ll learn to love you people eventually! Can I spend some time at your house?
