Molly's story : at no fault of her own Molly got pregnant. Her irresponsible owner did not want her after that. Texas rustlers took her in and she had her kittens in the rescue.. all her kittens were adopted, but after a little over a year, Molly is still waiting for her forever home. She is the sweetest cat and loves to get petted. Molly is a lap cat and she follows you wherever you go. She loves all the attention therefore she should be the only cat. She is in a home right now with a medium size dog and doesn't seem to mind. Molly is a very sweet cat and loves rubs. She will join you on the couch as you watch TV  She is in a home with other cats and a dog. You can also meet her at her fosters home. Milo has that rambunctious orange cat energy, he loves playing and wrestling.Like the little mermaid, Milo likes to be where the people are, especially in themorning. *Lonely Hearts Club - in foster care for over a year* Jalapeno was found by a good samaritan with his siblings and his mom at a local Tex-Mex restaurant when he was a very scared tiny kitten. He has become an independent, low maintenance adult kitty. His favorite time for pets and snuggles is bedtime, but otherwise he is content to just hang out. He would be fine as a solo companion for someone, adopted to a home with another cat or adopted with his more confident brother, Nacho (pictured), to have someone to snuggle with when you are gone. No dogs or children please. He will be shy at first, so we are looking for a pet parent that has that special touch, a cat whisperer, and is willing to love this gentle boy until he can love back. We know whoever can and will invest that little extra time and patience in Jalapeno, will uncover a special friend in him. Jalapeno is in our Lonely Hearts Club due to his length of stay in our foster program. Ask us about our reduced adoption fee to give this guy a chance at a happy, furever home! *Lonely Hearts Club- I've been in foster care for over a year* Nacho was found by a good samaritan with his siblings and mom near a Tex-Mex restaurant as a young kitten. When first placed in his foster home, he was terrified. Although still a little shy at first to brand new things and people, this guy has grown into a happy, social young adult kitty. He gets along great with the foster's personal older cat and leads his shy brother, Jalapeno (pictured), on adventures around the house. He loves his head and back scratched and will get the purr going. He will continue to flourish in a home with another gentle, sweet cat and a family that is patient and loving. Don't have a second cat? Consider adopting Jalapeno to snuggle with Nacho when you are away. Children and pups are not recommended. Contact us to set-up a meet and greet with Nacho (and Jalapeno)! Loves running through any interior door you open. • Likes to play and roughhouse • Not very cuddly but likes being pet once he gets to know you • Can be a bit of a bully to other cats, which is why we’re rehoming him. He doesn’t do well with female cats for the most part. • He might do well in a household with an older male cat since he was real close to our 16 y/o male before he passed away, or in a single cat household with lots of enrichment. • Has a female littermate who we are also rehoming • Appreciates company • Picky eater but loves treats Overall I just want to make sure he goes to the best home for him!

Can carry a conversation once she warms up to you and shakes her tail excitingly while doing so. • Does NOT like to be touched but if you're patient, she might let you pat her. • Dosn't get along with other cats very well. Most suited for a single cat household. Right now she lives with several. • Independent and low-maintenance when she's relaxed and not stressed. Lately she has been hiding from her brother (also listed here) and a male kitten in the household which is unfortunately why we have to rehome her. • Very shy around people she doesn't know and new environments, so she might take a while to get settled in • A little bit of an attitude and free spirit but overall a sweet lady deep down I want to make sure she finds her forever home that she can thrive in! </p>

Story
Dustin, a 2 to 3-year-old aprox, showed up unexpectedly at my sister's house one day. He's a good boy, very sweet, and seems to have been an indoor cat before becoming homeless on the streets. Unfortunately, my sister already has two elderly cats, so she can't keep Dustin inside. This leaves him vulnerable to attacks from feral cats, dogs, and other dangers. Before his surgery, Dustin was attacked by another cat, resulting in several wounds, scratches, and bites. He also has two puncture wounds, which led both me and the vets to believe a dog may have attacked him while he was living on the streets. On Monday, October 21, Dustin was neutered at the Spay Neuter Society, and while his tests came back FLV-negative, he tested positive for FIV, meaning he'll need special care. Unfortunately, I can't take care of him because I'm currently staying at my sister's house, and she was initially reluctant to let him in. However, I convinced her to let Dustin stay for a week during his recovery.
