Story
Elixir was rescued from a high volume shelter in October of 2022. He was adopted quickly because he is a total ham but returned several months later. The problem? He can be a little over the top- in everything. He is one of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet, however, his zest for life carries over in all things. He can get a little too amped up when playing and can play way too rough with other kitties. He is also easily over stimulated and can bite at times. Because he is so amazingly sweet though, we took him to the vet to see if meds would help - guess what! They do! He is now settled back into foster care and doing very well. He can still get a bit too over the top with affection or play and nip. He really must go to a very experienced cat person. As an only pet he would likely flourish. He just needs a very specific type of home and he will make someone so happy! He is absolutely gorgeous and healthy. He is also well behaved and doesn't make a mess at all. It is pretty easy to clip his nails and he uses his scratching post like a champ. Let us know if he might fit into your life!November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Almost everyone knows about food dropped on the floor and the five-second-rule. If you don't know, ask a kid, they do. Well, Pin-Pin has a ten-day-rule. When moved from her foster's home to a condo in one of our partners' pet supply stores, she tolerates condo life there for ten days. Then she gets grumpy and unhappy This does not paint a pretty picture to prospective adopters. She has been in two different store condos, where she applied the ten-day rule each time. This presents a conundrum. How to market Pin-Pin? She actually shows well in a wire pop-up kennel at small adoption events. At a recent event, she saw a women enter the store, jumped up from lying down and hustled to the front of the cage. What did she see in the woman? We don't know, but the woman just walked on by. So, marketing Pin-Pin may be via small adoption events and an on-line presence. The two-year-old torbie with the mesmerizing green eyes has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, and is a sweet girl in her foster home, rolling over to solicit belly rubs! Found abandoned in a park, Pin-Pin deserves so much more. Interested? Fill out an obligation-free adoption application at: www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PALC/Cat

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello everyone!  I’m Gambini – the cutest, sweetest, purr-i-est teenager around.  I was found abandoned living on the streets with my mom and my siblings.  We are all now in foster care ( mama and one brother have been adopted) and enjoying the good life!  I am a plush tabby boy (with beautiful markings!) and I love to play.  I will amaze you with my acrobatics!  When I am worn out from romping, I am very snuggly and love hugs, kisses and belly rubs.  My fur is super soft and when you reach out to touch me (‘cause I’m so irresistibly cute) I instantly start to purr.  You will love my gravely little voice!  I was probably born towards the end of September 2023, and I am ready for a new home.  I am great with other kitties and I am definitely up for meeting a new BFF! Come meet me one Saturday! Love, G November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Sweet Michaela was found as a young kitten and hadn’t yet been socialized toward people. Her foster mom has worked with her a lot and she will now approach her for love and attention. She needs lots of time to trust people. She doesn't love other kitties and definitely no dogs for her. She would love to be the only princess in a home! She is super sweet and responds very well to back scratches and chin rubs :) She needs an experienced cat person to help her continue to blossom. November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Daddy-O is an absolutely GORGEOUS orange and white "swirl tabby"! While shy at first and recently re-socialized from a neighborhood, he absolutely ADORES petting once acquainted - head, temples, cheeks, under the chin especially and long strokes along his body. He will then quietly start to purr. He loves being talked to. He is almost a "medium-haired cat" with his thick, silky coat. He loves window sills and cat trees, especially at night. He enjoys good kibble more than wet food, but eats both. Though he has tested as FIV-positive, he is very healthy, so an indoor environment is recommended. He has been fully vaccinated. He will hide at first, and may first greet a stranger with a soft hiss to announce his presence, but we reach out to him with outstretched fingertips, then start soft petting on the head, and the happy head and chin scratching can begin! He is not yet able to be picked up, but does roll over on his side Daddy-O would be happiest in a small, quiet, indoor environment either as a single pet or as a "working cat" with his own cubbyhole, cat tree, windowsill and safe space. We suggest keeping him socialized with calm adult(s) around him. We believe he fathered 3 gorgeous healthy swirl tabby kittens, since adopted, and hence his name. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tuxedo is a "guard cat", and needs a new home. He was a neighborhood cat who has needed a lot of TLC and patience, but has been mellowed a lot and now even greets us at meal time. (Ok, he prefers a single hiss before meowing in anticipation of his dinner dish, in a room he shares with three fellow resident kitties.) He is neutered now, and fully vaccinated (Rabies, FVRCP, FeLV), even had a dental checkup, and is in good health. He is FIV+, so he really should be rehomed to an indoor environment, as a "working cat" to patrol for unwanted critters or other visitors. With training and increased cat and human interaction, he has become settled into a cozy bedroom, and even lets a more bold kitty sample his dinner dish first. He loves to eat - wet or dry - just "set it and forget it" - it will be enjoyed. He does use a litter box faithfully. We have worked up to petting him (we manage with an oven mitt before eating, and hubby can use a bare hand), but if irked or backed into a corner, he can swat things better than Jose Altuve. So if a Ring Doorbell or guard dog isn't in your budget, Tuxedo is the cat for you. We look for an indoor guard and patrol cat position with a cozy alcove with privacy, where he can still see everything going on. And we doubt he will sit on your computer keyboard or favorite chair and leave hair. But Tuxedo deserves to live a safe and long life, with a human who will watch out for him, as he watches out for you. - To fill out our brief, no-obligation application, go to www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PALC/Cat

Story
Pumpkin is a beautiful light orange tabby now 1-3/4 years old. He grew up with kittens around him, and is still very playful, especially with loose shoelace-thickness or drawstring'-pants elastic ties, and even old Covid-mask elastic! He digs them out of a sewing bag, carry them, and then toss them in the air. In his foster home, he has three playmates who share his passion, and even groom each other. He gets along with multiple cats in his foster home, with no quarrels from any. He loves Churu lickable treats, and when in the kitchen, he likes to be petted in long single strokes on his neck and back when being fed. He knows his name, and comes when patting your thighs. He loves to do figure-8s or pass-throughs of your legs, especially if wearing flannel or cotton cloth pants - and you can pet him then, too. He does not and NEVER has liked being picked up, and won't be changing his mind on that. Others trying it made him shy to outstretched hands or fast approaches. Pet him with all his 4 feet on the ground, and you stand still. He loves cat tree nests, perches, cat beds, and window sills. Pumpkin had 3-year Rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV vaccines , is FIV/FeLV negative for disease, and on regular flea preventive. He is very healthy, and not a picky eater. Story
Artemis was adopted from a shelter about 7 years ago. She is approximately 7.5 years old. Her previous owners had left her and her brother in a home alone when they moved with no food. I hate to find her a new home, but as the years have gone by, she’s became anxious and will attack my kids. She just scratched my 1 year old who walked by her. She is fine with adults and older kids. I feel like noises and chaos stress her out. I work full time and have 3 kids, I do not have the time or resources to train her or anything. I just want to find her a loving home. An older couple with no other kids would be perfect for her. I feel like she could adjust to a another animal if given plenty of time. She likes to eat wet food.

Story
Artemis was adopted from a shelter about 7 to 7 1/2 years ago because her previous owner had left her and her brother alone in an abandoned house when they were babies. I adopted her back when my daughter was only one years old since then I have had two more children, a five-year-old and then my baby just turned one. The cat has became more anxious over the years and cannot stand the children. The baby just walked by her doing absolutely nothing to her and she scratched him. I hate to rehome her, but I also have a full-time job a house to take care of and three children so I am not interested in taking the time and energy and money to train her. I would like to just find her a good home preferably with adults in a low simulating environment. she’s a good cat just not around children. She is terrified of other cats. I feel like she could adjust to a dog given time and patience.
