Story
Nutmeg was offered to me by a friend needing to rehome her as soon as possible. She was born from two house cats and has spent her entire life with people. While I couldn't keep her permanently, I would be able to foster her instead of having her end up in a shelter. Nutmeg is roughly 3 months old, and she is an adorable ball of bubbly energy! If you like to play a lot with your cat while also getting to cuddle at bedtime/naps, this is the kitten for you. She has been quite nervous of my two cat-friendly dogs but hasn't acted aggressive in any way, she's very confident and curious. I think she would benefit from having a sibling as she is young and would benefit from learning manners and behaviors from another feline as well as having someone to help burn off all her rambunctious energy. She is also in no way attached to the name, so her name could be easily changed!

Story
Cookie was rescued June 3rd with his 2 siblings Spice & Rain. They were just 3 oz. and according to the home owner, they were "washed up in a rain puddle" after a storm. It is a miracle they survived. Cookie will steal your heart with his sweet face. He loves to cuddle and make biscuits. He will do best with kids > 5. He has been around a small dog and wasn't the biggest fan, but I think with a slow introduction small dogs would be ok and of course he loves other cats.

Story
Long, curious, and active Counting Cats is a very long, orange tabby boy who is curious about people. He loves being in the same room where his people are! He may be a little cautious at first, but is still intent on being around people -- even little humans! He will observe the toddler in his foster home from a distance and follow her around. She's fascinating to him! Counting Cats enjoys pushing toys around the floor and playing with other cats. With a proper introduction to get acclimated, soon he was enjoying the company of the other cats in his foster home -- they play together, eat next to each other (sometimes from the same bowl at the same time), and sleep together. He gets zoomies nightly and ends his zoomies at the foot of his humans' bed. Counting Cats would do great in a home with another nice cat and a patient adopter who can nurture a loving relationship with him, understanding that his shyness and quirkiness are what make him fabulous! This is a cat you can count on to be your beloved companion - contact us today! Counting Cats has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Counting Cats can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. Story
Affectionate, Endearing, Confident Some of the best things in life include birdsong in the morning, a great apple, a walk in a sunny park...and our Sunny Park, who is like a little beam of sunshine, wherever she goes! Aptly named, Sunny leads with her happy and warm heart. Super-extra-highly affectionate, she loves people and will always choose to be in the same room with you, just keeping you company while you do your busy human things. Sit down, and she's your snuggle buddy! She could sit in your lap for days while you pet her; she will give your face sweet kisses in return. She is a lap cat, through-and-through! The young kids in her foster home adore her, and Sunny adores them right back. She is friendly with all people, even if she has just met you! Sunny has a curious and inquisitive personality and will spend time bopping around the house, finding interesting things to explore. Her favorite toys are wand toys that you wave around - and the fringe on the edges of a rug! So fun to bat at! We are confident that Sunny has always had a charming, outgoing, and loving nature, and that hasn't changed a bit, despite having mostly-paralyzed back legs. She came to APA! with a bullet lodged in her spine, which might make anyone change their view of life and decide to be cranky; not Sunny! She just motors on, adapting, and loving everyone in her path. As a result of her mostly-paralyzed back legs, Sunny is incontinent. She needs her human to press on her bladder ("manually express") a few times a day to help her go. She is easy to express, and APA! will show you how and make sure you are comfortable with it. Here's a video to show you how easy it can be! bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo She requires some extra care, including feeding her a wet food diet, giving her a sink bath now and then (she loves it!), and keeping an eye on her back legs to make sure they stay abrasion-free as she cheerfully pulls herself around the house with her front legs! The kids in her foster home help care for Sunny by feeding her and playing with her! You can create spaces around the house for her by laying down a towel or blanket, and she will recognize them as "hers", lounging on them while she keeps you company. She is a happy, calm, and content little lady. Sunny's ideal home is with people...people who are home a lot, people who are adults or kids, and any people who could be her new friend! She revels in having her own family to hang out with, to love, to play with, and to love some more. Her humans should be patient and able to create a routine for her, which makes things simpler. Contact APA! for more information and tips! Sunny is such a pretty orange and white tabby, and as a female orange tabby, is rather uncommon! On top of that, she will sometimes give you her over-the-top-cute and very special "silent meow." Hands-down, Sunny is likely the sweetest animal you will ever meet. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. Story
Curious, Friendly, Energetic Despite what his name suggests, Bad Cat Brains will bring nothing but good into his future forever home. Bad Cat Brains is a handsome boy looking for a home where he can play all day. He loves to chase feathers, and mice filled with catnip, or will just spend his energy doing zoomies around the halls! When he's done playing, Bad Cat Brains wants to be around his humans. He'll climb into anyone's lap, and even does well with children! You can tell how much he enjoys your company by his constant purrs. One true way to Bad Cat Brains' heart is through his stomach. His favorite thing in the whole world is a Churu. As soon as he hears the Churu packaging crinkle, he comes running to claim his treat! He'll stand on his hind legs and wrap his front two legs around the your hands, just to make sure that Churu isn't going anywhere. Tied for his favorite thing is his brother, Cat Flag. They spend most of their time together, whether it's running around chasing each other or curling up in a tiny box together. But their favorite thing to do is wrestle together, all in good fun of course! One funny thing these brothers do is take small items around the house (a kid toy, for example) and stash them away as their own. One time a missing shoe was found in the corner of their room! When Cat Flag is in a room by himself, he will mew for his brother and Bad Cat Brains will coming running to check on him. It's so sweet! These boys are bonded and would be lost without each other, so they must be adopted together. For more information on Cat Flag, you can take a look at his profile: https://tinyurl.com/yc6dck2y. Recently a dog visited their foster home, and these two kitties went from just curious to following her around the house and laying beside her! They would do well in a home with adults, kids, dogs, and each other! Contact us today to meet them - thank you for keeping them together! Bad Cat Brains has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Sweet, Loving, Playful Cat Flag is a little guy with a lot of love to give. When you make friends he's the perfect companion. He's not afraid to ask for pets and will even encourage humans to pet him by booping them with his bespeckled head. Whenever he's not pleading for pets, Cat Flag will keep himself busy with toys. He enjoys hunting stuffed mice filled with catnip and chasing strings around the house. When he's tuckered out, Cat Flag is perfectly content sitting quietly. Cat Flag and his brother, Bad Cat Brains, are bonded and must be adopted together.
