Story
Nutmeg was offered to me by a friend needing to rehome her as soon as possible. She was born from two house cats and has spent her entire life with people. While I couldn't keep her permanently, I would be able to foster her instead of having her end up in a shelter. Nutmeg is roughly 3 months old, and she is an adorable ball of bubbly energy! If you like to play a lot with your cat while also getting to cuddle at bedtime/naps, this is the kitten for you. She has been quite nervous of my two cat-friendly dogs but hasn't acted aggressive in any way, she's very confident and curious. I think she would benefit from having a sibling as she is young and would benefit from learning manners and behaviors from another feline as well as having someone to help burn off all her rambunctious energy. She is also in no way attached to the name, so her name could be easily changed!

Story
Sweet indoor only cat, okay with dogs, no other cats. Jasmine lived with my uncle and a small dog before they passed away several months ago. My uncle was retired, so she's use to having someone home a lot. She needs to be an only cat, but she does get along with dogs! She is indoor only, very friendly, incredibly sweet, curious and loves affection. Likes: Meow mix, affection, tunnels, and carpet scratching posts. Dislikes: Other cats If Jasmine sounds like a good fit for you, please contact me.

Story
Cookie was rescued June 3rd with his 2 siblings Spice & Rain. They were just 3 oz. and according to the home owner, they were "washed up in a rain puddle" after a storm. It is a miracle they survived. Cookie will steal your heart with his sweet face. He loves to cuddle and make biscuits. He will do best with kids > 5. He has been around a small dog and wasn't the biggest fan, but I think with a slow introduction small dogs would be ok and of course he loves other cats.

Story
Class Clown, Exuberant, Cuddly Lambinator (aka Lamby aka Yammy Yam as her foster calls her) is the sweetest, funniest, and goofiest tuxedo girl. This outgoing kitty has a happy and enthusiastic energy that is contagious. She is a one-cat welcome committee to all visitors...meeting newcomers at the door and eager to introduce herself to everyone who comes by! Lamby is an active, adventuresome girl! She climbs, runs and jumps and LOVES playtime. She will make a toy out of anything and even loves to splash around in tubs of water! She does great with kids and adults, and enjoys all forms of pets. She is an absolute lap (and shoulder!) cat and loves to be held. She purrs up a storm each time she's picked up! She absolutely adores playing with other cats, and has made friends with big dogs. Lamby came to APA! with a tail pull injury that left her incontinent. Her foster expresses (squeezes) her bladder three times a day (not a set schedule, anyone can do it), and she wears cute washable diapers to keep the house clean. Lamby is used to it and great for her routine. Check out this video: bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo to see how easy expressing a cat can be. If there were a contest for Best Kitty Personality, we truly think Lamby would win! She cuddles when you want to cuddle with her, she plays when you want to play with her, and she easily accepts meds and bladder squeezes - because for her this is all normal, no big deal. She is such a perfect cat that it is kind of heartbreaking to think that she could be passed over because she needs some special care. Lamby has SO MUCH love to give, a sunny disposition and a happy temperament, and she simply needs wonderful people to share it with! In addition to being the friendliest kitten on the block, Lamby is also the prettiest, with her cute mustache, multicolored paw pads, and snow boots! Lamby would excel in any home with people ready to accept all the love, purrs and fun she has to give! Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. Story
Sweetheart, Calm, Soft Boy Quince likes to sit on the couch and be by your side! He prefers to be near you and doesn't need to cuddle up on you, but he LOVES pets. He will rub on you and meow softly to politely ask for some affection. Overall, Quince is a calm boy - but he can get very excited about the mouse-on-a-string toy, and will chase it! (He has a cute tummy "puff" that swings when he runs!) After a bit of chasing he's done, and it's time to chill. Quince and his brother, Durango (46045), were adopted together as kittens and have lived together for 10 years. Their previous owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender them when their family life took a busy turn, complete with toddlers! This caused too much anxiety for these boys, and they didn't get the quiet attention they crave. Quince and Durango are bonded, meaning their health and well-being depends on them remaining together, so they must be adopted together. They are a sweet pair, and APA! (as well as their previous owners) thanks you for keeping them together! Learn about Durango here - https://tinyurl.com/u73v46km Both boys are on a urinary support diet, and Quince is scheduled to have a non-symptomatic hernia surgically repaired. Initially, Quince will be shy and maybe anxious in a new place, but he warms up pretty quickly and shows his curious and calm nature. Exploring the house is one of his favorite things! The ideal home for Quince and Durango is quiet and low-traffic with people who will be gentle and patient with them. While they appreciate attention from their beloved humans, they are independent and good on their own together, too. Quince and Durango are ready to find their new home and new people to bond with! Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. Story
Snuggly, Friendly, Tranquil Stretch would love you to stretch out your arm and give her a pet asap! She LOVES people and is in seventh heaven if she is cuddling with you, laying in your lap or getting pets...full-bore bliss! Stretch isn't shy about requesting attention. She may use her adorable little chirp to ask for some loving, give you a head boop or show you what she wants by getting your hand between her paws and bringing it to her face...hint, hint! Stretch has the cutest way of plopping down for pets, then joyfully rolling around as she gets them. Feel free to give her neck scritches, belly rubs and kisses too! She is such a relaxed, loving cat who is a friend to adults and children. She got along great with 5 to 7-year-old kids who visited her at the shelter - happily allowing side and belly pets as she gladly welcomed the love from their little hands. Stretch gets along with other cats and lived amicably with a puppy. It wouldn't be a stretch to call Stretch an absolute love muffin! Stretch came to APA! with hind leg paralysis, meaning her back legs are pretty weak. We're unsure of the cause, but suspect she was hit by a car. She uses her front legs to get around for the most part, which works quite well for her. She is incontinent and requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression. We'll show you exactly how it's done and make sure you can do it too! Currently, Stretch seems to prefer a puppy pad to manual expression. Caring for an incontinent cat is a pretty simple process - check out this video: bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo Stretch sometimes goes into playful kitty mode, chasing after toy balls or batting at string toys. But, she likes to spend the majority of her time finding a place to lounge and look pretty...easy enough with that gorgeous tabby coat and those emerald green eyes! She has lots of favorite hang outs - a spot on the floor, a cozy place on the sofa, your lap (of course!), or a coveted window seat. Stretch is an easygoing, gentle spirit who thrives on love - both giving it and getting it! She would make a fantastic companion cat for someone looking for a cuddly, adoring friend who handles adversity with calm resilience, a sunny outlook and a loving heart. We could all learn a thing or two from Stretch. Contact APA! to learn more about this sweet girl and to arrange a meet & greet! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. Story
Lovable, Curious, Playful This squishy-faced, handsome boy is Leap Year! While shelter life has him a little spooked, he's slowly coming out of his blanket fort and showing his sweet personality. If you slow blink at him, he'll blink right back, wanting to connect with you. Give this guy a sprinkle of catnip and a few rounds with a wand toy, and you'll see his playful side come out. After dinner, he's all about the track toy, batting the ball around and around. His former family says he's a cuddlebug at home, and he's happiest when he's getting attention and playing with you. Leap Year is curious and ready to connect, wishing for a home where he can truly relax and be his goofy, loving self again. Come meet this sweet buddy-cat, and bring your slow-blinks! He may be the perfect cat for you. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
