Story
So... funny story. We actually got her from our apartment's parking garage and immediately fell for her. She was said to be around 1 at the time so she would now be around 2 1/2. It was a quick decision and we didn't necessarily take into account how much we travel. With our busy schedules, we believe Ollie deserves a better and more present family/home. She's a cuddle bug (on her terms), loves head scratches, is super talkative, will play with hair ties for an oddly long amount of time, and values her food time above everything else. We're really just looking for a home that will value her quality of life and take care of her to the best of their ability!

Story
This is Draco born on March 2023. Needs to be rehome due to another cat having trouble adjusting to a newborn child, family has chosen to surrender all cats. Draco is a bit shy at first, he doesn't mind hanging out on his own but very appreciative to have company. Enjoys playing with lasers, springs, and wand toys. Very loving once comfortable and adjusted. Enjoys cozy naps times and having hideouts, is quite talkative once he knows you're home. He's been a very easy cat to take care of.

Story
Socks was a stray that followed me home one day and two weeks later had a litter of kittens. I've taken care of her for a little over a year and since choosing to keep two of her kittens each day she tolerates them less. I'm not sure if the hissing and swatting is only due to them being her own cats, she has developed an area on her back that is thinning that I believe is over grooming from stress. With humans she is very calm, enjoys pets and does not run from strangers. She mostly keeps to herself and is rediscovering how to play with toys. She tends to be more aggressive towards male cats, she would probably prefer being the only cat in house. Socks likes perching in high places, and having many scratching options. She also enjoys basking outside or having a window open to take in some fresh air.

Story
This is Stevie Nicks. She is a wonderful, loving girl, but she does not love our other cats. She needs a home because her original human neglected and abandoned her. She has recently had all her shots/vaccinations brought up to date and she was just spayed, after having a second litter. She is relaxed, patient, very affectionate, and a little over 1 year old. Please let me know if you have a loving home for this wonderful girl. She is good with children that are older than 8, she is scared of young children.

Story
Meet Salem & Sage: A Purr-fect Pair! Salem and Sage are two unique cats looking for a loving forever home. Salem, a sweet black cat, is a cuddlebug who adores blankets, scratching posts, and cozy spots (though she has a quirky habit of marking cat beds). Outgoing and curious, Salem might do well with kids but isn’t a fan of dogs. Sage, a beautiful grey-and-white diva, thrives in calm households with places to hide. She’s independent and only wants affection on her terms but will charm you with her love of exploring baths and showers. Sage prefers no kids or dogs and needs a patient, understanding home to feel secure. Together, Salem and Sage make a wonderful pair, balancing sweetness and independence but, we understand if you only have room for one. If you’re ready to welcome these special ladies into your home, please apply!

Story
Khloe Marie is one lucky girl. Her owners lived out of their car and were in an accident one day. She jumped out of the window and was lost. She found her foster mom, who finally found the owners but they decided to give her up for a home that is safer than living in a car. She is the sweetest, cuddly young cat. She is fully vetted and waiting for her NEW HOME that is not on wheels.

Story
Sheena is a very special cat who has been waiting a very long time to find her forever home. She has a mild heart condition and doesn’t like to be around other animals, which has made her difficult to place. Sheena is about 7 years old now but she’s still very active and playful. She loves her wand toys and laser pointer and spends lots of time looking out the window or climbing her cat tree. Sheena has her own room in her foster home with toys to play with and a window with a view, but what she really wants is a home of her own with a person she doesn’t have to share. Sheena was rescued in 2015 from the Fort Worth shelter while nursing 8 kittens, not all of them hers. She was a good mom but when she was done she (understandably) really wanted her own space. Sheena is very social. She purrs easily, loves to be petted, and even enjoys visits from her foster mom’s young nephews. Sheena does have a temper and gets nippy when she is displeased, but she doesn’t do any real damage. Like many cats, she also dislikes car rides. Sheena has mild cardiomyopathy, meaning a slight thickening of the walls of her heart which causes it to work harder to pump blood. Her condition has been unchanged since it was first discovered and has been fully checked out by a veterinary cardiologist. Sheena isn’t on any medication and has no symptoms from her condition. Her cardiologist thinks she will likely remain stable for years since she has been for so long. It’s recommended that Sheena have blood work done every year to monitor her her condition, but otherwise she lives a very normal life. Sheena is a wonderful and sometimes difficult cat with a lot of personality. She has waited a long time but hasn’t given up hope that someone will take a chance on her. Story
Meet Leigh! She's a sweet, super affectionate little girl who was born in April of 2016. Leigh is a quiet, gentle girl who loves to be petted and will roll around in her foster mom’s lap to be sure she doesn’t miss a spot. In her sillier moments, Leigh likes to chase her tail. She gets along with other cats, though she’ll hide from them if they’re mean to her. Leigh would love a home of her own with windows to look out of and a warm lap to cuddle in. To adopt her please email us at contactbpcr@gmail.com or fill out an application at http://www.buddiesplacecatrescue.org F-JB #BuddiesPlace #CatRescue #Catadoption Updated: 2/20/18
