Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       *** Courtesy Post – Mattie’s adoption is not through the Euless Animal Shelter ***  Mattie is a very sweet white and brown tabby cat.  She is about 5-1/2 years old.  Mattie was rescued from a shelter because she was too frightened to place into adoption.  Mattie is a very unique girl in that she is a pan leukopenia survivor.  Pan leukopenia (FPV, also known as feline distemper) has no prescribed treatment and the survival rate is dismal.  Mattie was lucky in that she was already an adult cat, and that her foster recognized symptoms that can be confused with other diseases.  The good news is that once cured, she will no longer need any treatment, nor can she catch it again, if exposed. With no cure, it took supportive care such as IV Fluid treatments and antibiotics to make her comfortable.  This daily interaction of care made her welcoming to human touch and kindness.  During her treatment she lost her shyness, found out that she loved being touched and petted, and lastly got to spend her days with other kitty playmates once she was no longer contagious..     Mattie’s other supporter was another cat who has since passed away with cancer.  We know that Mattie would prefer the company of another female, or two, hoping that one might be agreeable to become her best friend. He loves attention and being petted. Chin and back scratches are his favorite. He also enjoys playing with you with his favorite wand toy. He is a social and curious boy. If you close a door on him…. he sits outside the door and will be waiting for you to come from the room to join him. Duke thinks of himself as a masculine kitty, so he prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. He is not a fan of being carried around like a baby. She is an outside cat but has been living inside with a foster in Frisco, Texas. She is totally feral. This 3-yo cat is up to date on her vaccinations (Rabies, FVRCP & FeLV), is spayed, has tested negative for FELV/FIV and has a micro-chip. We reached out to North Texas Barn Cats and was told they don’t place WHITE cats in outside locations. White cats are unable to blend in with grasses and landscaping making them a perfect meal for owls, hawks and coyotes.  Because she is feral, she needs a home in a WAREHOUSE setting. Our goal would be place her, and another cat in a warehouse setting. Story
Sheena is a very special cat who has been waiting a very long time to find her forever home. She has a mild heart condition and doesn’t like to be around other animals, which has made her difficult to place. Sheena is about 7 years old now but she’s still very active and playful. She loves her wand toys and laser pointer and spends lots of time looking out the window or climbing her cat tree. Sheena has her own room in her foster home with toys to play with and a window with a view, but what she really wants is a home of her own with a person she doesn’t have to share. Sheena was rescued in 2015 from the Fort Worth shelter while nursing 8 kittens, not all of them hers. She was a good mom but when she was done she (understandably) really wanted her own space. Sheena is very social. She purrs easily, loves to be petted, and even enjoys visits from her foster mom’s young nephews. Sheena does have a temper and gets nippy when she is displeased, but she doesn’t do any real damage. Like many cats, she also dislikes car rides. Sheena has mild cardiomyopathy, meaning a slight thickening of the walls of her heart which causes it to work harder to pump blood. Her condition has been unchanged since it was first discovered and has been fully checked out by a veterinary cardiologist. Sheena isn’t on any medication and has no symptoms from her condition. Her cardiologist thinks she will likely remain stable for years since she has been for so long. It’s recommended that Sheena have blood work done every year to monitor her her condition, but otherwise she lives a very normal life. Sheena is a wonderful and sometimes difficult cat with a lot of personality. She has waited a long time but hasn’t given up hope that someone will take a chance on her. Breezy cat is just like a cool breeze. She's a cool cat who is looking for a home!  Breezy was rescued from the streets and was spayed and vaccinated by her rescuing angel. She had kittens in the spring and they have all been adopted. Breezy is a tiny cat and has a great character. She is very sweet, cuddly, and easy-going. She will probably always be on the small side. Breezy is never aggressive with the resident child who loves to chase her around to pet her, so we think she would be a great family pet.  Breezy currently lives indoor/outdoor and the foster does not have her using a litter box but we think she was an indoor cat before she was tossed out on the street. Hi all! Mikey here. I’ve only been around for 8-12 weeks and I’ve already had so many adventures! 11/13 I climbed up into a car engine which I now know was not super safe. This lady got me out and then gave me lots of food and cuddles. The vet said I was healthy with no internal viruses/diseases/infections just underweight and a mild case of fleas. But I had a bath which was okay and then a really nice flea comb that felt so good! I had my first dewormer on 11/14 and will get the rest of my vaccines and second dewormer on 12/6. I will be getting my flea control and preventative on 11/16. The lady that saved me has a dog I don’t like very much so I’d really like a home where I am an only cat or only have kitty siblings. The man in the house is also allergic to me cause I’m just so soft and fluffy. Please let me know if you are willing to give me a great home!
