Story
Looking to add some feline fun to your life? We have just the kitten for you. Frodo is a grey tabby with silky soft fur, gorgeous golden eyes and the timing of a comedian. He loves to play (dog, cat, human, it doesn't matter) and can turn anything into a game. He would love another kitten his age as a playmate, but what he wants most of all is a person to share his love of life.

Story
Be sure to read my FULL BIO all the way down to my vetting and how to apply. Not all sites will show the full bio, so if needed please go to www.rockersrescue.org and click on adoptable pets to be sure you are reading all details. The animals have multiple pictures to view. (on our site click "view more" under the main photo, or scroll to the bottom to see the rest.)  We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally meet inside one of our adoption partners locations which are Hollywood Feed, Shreveport or in PetSmart, Shreveport.  Gyspy  - Female Kitten. Already altered. Estimated birthday around Easter of 2025. (April 20) Currently 6.5lbs History: Gypsy was originally abandoned by her mom, she was found as a tiny kitten with a respiratory infection. Her finder brought her to our foster home with neonate/ bottle feeding experience. She nursed her back to health. While she was growing, she got a tummy bug and some sniffles from some other fosters, she has been treated and is ready for adoption.  Personality: Gypsy is a sweet little girl. Sometimes she wants a lot of attention and sometimes she's more reserved. Her foster home has a hyper dog and she is not a fan, so she avoids it. When in a home where she can relax, she will likely show more of her sweet and social side. We think she will stay a more petite size. She is a fan of toys and kitty trees. Does well with other kitties. When she wants attention, she will seek you out and rub against you. If the dog isn't around, she will hang out and lay on the couch.  We think in a home without the dog, she will flourish and have a blast getting attention.  Medical:  Has 2 sets of kitten vaccines. Got rabies vaccine at spay appointment. Dewormed. Treated for tummy parasites, kitty sniffles. She also had a fever once that she was treated for. Doing great now!  On monthly flea/tick prevention. When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue donations will have already paid for it.    Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kitten/cats. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.    ADOPTION: $40 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a LOT more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.  Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!    HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! Let us know if you have any questions. Beautiful marbled tabby. Many tabbys are often stripe patterned but Neville is a lovely dark marbled pattern tabby. Already altered. Birthday estimated May 15, 2025.  History:   Police officers helped catch a tiny Neville by the police station in Bossier. He was brought to Bossier city animal control, where we take pictures weekly to network the cats. Neville would crack us up every week when we saw him. We would always have to take him out and hold him so he'd stop crying for more attention. We finally said LETS GO GET HIM! We took the spry and adorable little boy into our rescue. Personality:  Neville is quite the catch! He's very playful and outgoing. He loves his attention too. He does well with other kitties and even tolerates the hyper dog in his foster home. He is active and loves toys and exploring the home and kitty trees. Loves to eat! Treats, food, he wants it, haha. Pretty sure that's how the police officers got him, was with food. He can be nosey. When he's ready for his attention, he will let you know! He has a rather squeaky little meow and will rub up against you. He will walk on your lap for attention. Likes to give little love nibbles too.  Medical: We've had Neville for a few months because he was battling some tummy troubles and kitty sniffles with some other foster kitties. While treating those, he had a uti. After treating his initial uti, his cultures would all come back negative for bacteria, but he'd have some blood in his urine when they would check. They wanted us to hold off on his neuter for a while because of it. Finally, we got the go ahead to neuter him and see if it helps. We haven't noticed any issues since his neuter. He's had 2 sets of kitten vaccines. Got rabies vaccine at neuter appointment. Dewormed. Treated for tummy parasites, kitty sniffles, and uti.  On monthly flea/tick prevention. When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped.
