ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY. Harriet and her sister Hillary came to us from South TX where they ended up in a very high kill shelter. They were undernourished when they arrived at RT4P and covered in fleas, but it didn't take them long to get on the road to recovery and become loving, social kitties. They love other kitties and are currently living in a foster home with dogs so Harriet will be a great addition to any home. If you would like to meet Harriet, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Virginia is literally smiling in her picture! Hard to believe this sweet girl was surrendered with her 2 older kittens Tennessee and Georgia to a small outdoor shelter in South TX where kitties do not stand a chance at getting out unless it’s to rescue. This whole family of beautiful kitties came to us at RT4P and we are sure glad they did because they are not only beautiful but they are loving super social kitties. Any family who adopts Virginia will be very lucky to get such a great kitty! If you would like to meet Virginia, the first step in the process is to complete an application. With no cure, it took supportive care such as IV Fluid treatments and antibiotics to make her comfortable.  This daily interaction of care made her welcoming to human touch and kindness.  During her treatment she lost her shyness, found out that she loved being touched and petted, and lastly got to spend her days with other kitty playmates once she was no longer contagious..     Mattie’s other supporter was another cat who has since passed away with cancer.  We know that Mattie would prefer the company of another female, or two, hoping that one might be agreeable to become her best friend. This in-door only cat is available through Tall Tails Rescue with an adoption fee of $100. No declawing, please.  Text/Call Cathy to adopt or with questions. 817 994 9388.July 7, 2024, 10:39 pm

In foster care Rachelle became somewhat comfortable around people, but remained un-adoptable.     After 3 months with a different foster, Rachelle decided she really liked the attention people gave her; likes to be petted and play with people, but she isn’t yet keen about being held.  She can be a bit of an alpha cat, so she would be best with another cat that might be larger in size, or older/more confident.   Rachelle is really a sweet, young girl and will make a great addition to a home with just a little patience. She is FeLV/FIV negative. She is available for an adoption fee of $100 with Tall Tails Rescue. Please contact Cathy 817 994 9388 with questions or to adopt. All of our cats are indoor only and no declawing is allowed.July 7, 2024, 10:39 pm

We feel she would enjoy the company of children and possibly even feel relaxed around adult dogs. Like so many cats that were not socialized with people as a kitten, Pixie appreciates your attention and especially neck rubs, however she isn’t comfortable being picked up unless you are doing so to have her sit next to you. This 8-10 year old cat is available for adoption through Tall Tails Rescue for an adoption fee of $100. For questions or to adopt, please call Cathy 817 994 9388. Pixie is indoor only and we do not allow cats to be declawed.July 7, 2024, 10:39 pm

Story
Chubby is a fun-loving and chatty 7 year old neutered male. I adopted him in 2021 when he was 4 from the SPCA of Dallas where he had been rescued from a cat-hoarding situation. He is pretty high energy, he loves to run and jump and sometimes fetch if the mood strikes. He loves cuddling and pets. In the past he has gotten overstimulated and bitten, but this hasn’t happened in years. I attribute it to the anxiety he must have felt growing up the way he did. But because of this, I think it’s best he doesn’t go to a home with children. I’m heartbroken to have to give him up, unfortunately my husband’s dogs have a very high prey drive and they cannot cohabitate. He is not good with dogs, he’s ok with my other cat who he has known since she was 4 weeks old. I’m not sure how he would do with an adult cat he doesn’t know. He’s never been around kids. He has such a big personality and so much love to give.
