Story
We adopted Pigeon from a Pet Supermarket just in August. He’s a a very sweet, playful boy who gets along well with other cats and dogs and with children. He may hide at first but once he comes out of his shell he loves to be on your lap and give headbutts. Super sad we cannot keep him but hoping he will find a very loving home!

Story
Since this posting Tilly went to the vet and we found out our precious kitten is male! So now we call him Toby. Toby is a WONDERFUL little cat. He purrs a lot and loves to be petted and played with. Toby plays great with his two siblings, who are also up for rehoming. At his kitten vet exam, Toby was dewormed and received his first shot. The vet says he is in good health. Toby is very good with using his litter box. He does well with having his claws trimmed and given a gentle rinse bath. He eats both wet and dry kitten food. He was born April 2, 2024 and was with his mother until he was fully weaned at 8 1/2 weeks. Since the photo was posted, his eye color has changed to gray-green.

Story
Ginny arrived at our rescue in early March from our local SPCA. She had been hit by a car and was found unconscious across the centerline of the road. Although she had no serious injuries and recovered quickly, the vet said she was pregnant. On March 25, 2024, Ginny gave birth to three healthy kittens. Soon after, we introduced her to five newborn orphans. To our joy, she accepted them and raised all eight kittens as her own. And since then, Ginny has continued to care for other young orphans. As cute as that is, it’s time for her to have her own human family to love and care for. Ginny quickly worked herself into the ebb and flow of our home. She behaves perfectly well with our two adult rescue males, and wherever people are is where Ginny wants to be. She loves to be touched, loves to be brushed, and will do very well in a quiet, affectionate home. We never have to look for her because she is always close by, either supervising kitten nonsense or quietly napping. Ginny was the beginning of a happily ever after story for many kittens; now it’s time for her to write her own story. She is somewhere between 18-24 months old, sleek, and small - about 7lbs and probably won’t get much bigger. She is calm, quiet, and completely litter trained. She is also FIV/FeLV negative, vaccinated, spayed, and chipped. We understand that adult rescues require special consideration from special adopters, and will adjust the adoption fee accordingly. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. Story
We admitted the Orphan Litter to our rescue as newborns May 24, 2024. Orphan kitten season was in full swing, and we had our hands full with slightly older kittens and had no idea what to name this litter, so we went with the obvious. Shelly is a single orphan from the Lancaster Animal Shelter – ergo Shelly, a name suggested by one of our Facebook followers. Shelly was very small, but reasonably clean, and her umbilical cord was still attached. She is compact, muscular, and vocal. Although she is tiny, she has loud opinions about everything, which we can hear across the house. Another four newborns were discovered tucked under the floorboards of a house. They were a dirty miserable mess. All four were dehydrated, starving, and covered in fleas and insulation. They were so compromised they required tube feeding for several days before they were strong enough to take a bottle. We named them after fictional orphans. The girls are Annie and Pippi. The boys we named Oliver and Dodger. Dodger, unfortunately, survived only a few days, but he was warm, comfortable, and loved while we had him. We estimate their birthdays to be May 18, 2024, which means they will be weaned and old enough to leave mid to late July. We strongly prefer that orphan kittens, especially littermates, be adopted in pairs, so approved adopters who want to adopt two kittens will get priority consideration. Beside being bonded as littermates, two cats keep each other company when you are at work or away, and will burn off a lot of energy you don’t have to deal with. They all are litter trained, and will be tested for FIV/FeLV when they are six weeks old. The adoption fee is $150 for one kitten and $225 for two. The fee covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner clinic. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). Story
This pretty young lady found herself a mommy and dumped on the streets. She has had a challenging beginning, yet she is now safe and healthy with our rescue. Bailey is understandably shy and fearful, and her perfect forever home is one that is calm with no young children. Adoption events are stressful for this beauty, so we are happy to set up a meet and greet. Could you be the person to bring this girl the love she deserves? Bailey has had age-appropriate vetting, is FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and has been spayed. FREE wellness visit with adoption. Story
This guy has had his world turned upside down in the last month. He was adopted from us as a kitten along with his sister Tiny Dancer and later another kitty Gail also joined them. Fast forward almost 8 years and Rocket Man and the two girls are back with us, as the family had some changes and a move where they decided they wouldn't be taking them. It's sad and extremely disappointing, but we are happy that they are here with us and that they now have the opportunity to find their forever and ever families. Rocketman is just a big, sweet love who is perfectly content watching the squirrels and birds from his cat tower, sitting with you as you work or watch TV or just batting a toy mouse around. He is so cute and just a really nice boy. He's about as purrfect as they come!! He's had his recent Veterinary checkup, and all systems are go! His wish list is just a calmer couple or person, maybe some empty nesters, someone who works from home, settled in life type of folks who can offer Rocketman all the stability he deserves. Even though Tiny Dancer is his sister, they aren't really bonded, and Gail is more his hangout pal, so if you did want two great middle-aged kitties, Rocketman would not mind if Gail came along. He is also quite independent and will be fine as your one and only or with your kitty or calm pup. Rocketman has had age-appropriate vetting, is FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and has been neutered. Story
Hi my name is Fizzy and I am a wonderful girl. My pal Goldmoon and myself were adopted as kittens and we were just perplexed when our human parents decided they were going to travel the country in an RV and not take us along. Our rescue welcomed me and Goldie back with loving arms and after a few days of hiding and being nervous, we realized our nice foster was a great human and we gladly accepted all the pets, treats and really enjoy playtime. Goldmoon and I have lived together and while we surely wouldn't mind going to our new family together, we are independent gals who like other kitties and even lived with a pup, so we're really ok finding our own new families too! I'm just now 3.5 years young, outgoing and love to hang out in your lap and also play. Doesn't that sound fabulous? Ask my rescue to arrange a play date, ok? I cannot wait to find my true forever and ever! Fizzy has had age-appropriate vetting, is FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and has been spayed. FREE wellness visit with adoption. Story
Rupert and his brother Raymond came to our rescue from a local shelter at just 4.5 months old. We quickly realized how terrified they truly were. With diligent care, Rupert is now sweet and loving though he will be shy when he first meets you. Rupert has the cutest little smudge on his nose. He is very sweet but shy. He loves his belly rubbed and loves to snuggle in a fuzzy blanket. He is not a lap cat yet but will snuggle next to you. He enjoys his HGTV that plays on his TV in their room. For the ease of settling in, no small children please. He would do fine with another kitty or two in the home. He has not been around dogs but would likely be fine with a cat friendly dog with proper intros. He would show best in their current foster home, and we would love to show him there if you are interested in meeting them. The brothers do not have to be adopted together but these boys love each other and if adopted together, we do think it will help them adjust faster. Rupert has had age-appropriate vetting, is FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and has been neutered. FREE wellness visit with adoption. Oliver is a sweet lover boy. He just turned 1 so he still has the kitten mentality. The reason we cannot keep him is bc my daughter just had a baby and he is constantly in her face. He means no harm but better safe then sorry. He loves all the other animals and adapts well to change.
