Story
My name is Lion. I am a healthy 8 years old male grey tabby with white and dark stripes.I am a special cat, I have two sets of ears. I have one sibling that I get along with (shaddow). I enjoy playing with toy wands, and crinkle balls. I love to lounge on blankets and up high in my cat tree. I love walks around inside the house. I love treats. I enjoy solving puzzles to get my treats. I like quiet spaces and enjoy children above the age of 6 years and that are gentle. I like gentle dogs, and a rubber maid bin for my litter box (it has lots of room and i like it). I am litter box trained and carrier trained (when going on trips, please cover me and carrier with blanket, it keeps me calm).I also enjoy looking out windows at wild life. I am a calm cat that enjoys to take it easy and would like to call your home my forever home. Likes: he likes cat wands, crinkle balls, cuddling on blankets and on cat trees, likes to smell hands before he is touched, prefers children above 6 years.

Story
Hi Y'all, My name is Spice. I live with my foster, her 3yo, teens, other cats and Tallulah the family pit bull who mothers all of the cats in the house. I am loved so much by everyone. Purrrrrr. I'm told that my fluffy fur is as soft as rabbit fur. I'm shy and need a quieter home with older or no kids. My foster mom says I am really shy and still only goes to her on my own but if anyone else picks me up I don't try to get away. I won't scratch or fidget. I am my foster mom's shadow and always wait for her at her bedroom door in the morning. I warmed up to our newest foster kitty and I love to play with him. His name is Salem. He's my boyfriend. I will hide the first chance I get if we have company over. Not a social butterfly now. But who knows...maybe someday? And I'll stay hidden until company leaves and then I'll sneak back out. I like lying next to mom when others approach and pet me unless it’s the toddler then I sprint away. What more would you ever need??? I'm ready to become your furry lifelong friend. Check with my foster to arrange a Meet and Greet. I'll have my bags packed for that day. If you would like to meet me, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website. Story
Hi Y'all, I am Salem and only 10 weeks old. I was living in the bushes in the parking lot of a doctor’s office running out whenever I saw people. I was crying and starving. A HAL volunteer was able to snag me out from under a bush. I immediately made myself at home my first night in foster with intense purring, cuddling, biscuit making. My foster mom says I am the prototypical kitten-everything I do, I do at 100% be it playing, cuddling, eating or sleeping. I love the toddler, the teens, the dog, the other fosters. And my foster tells her teammates that I may be the most meme-worthy kitten they've ever had. 😂 I will be a foster to adopt as I haven't finished my vaccines or been neutered yet. My foster's group won’t finalize my adoption until I am 4 months old when I am neutered and have my full complement of FVRCP, rabies, and leukemia vaccines. I dare you not to laugh at my photos. I am so cute, cute, cute. Right???? What more would you ever need??? I'm ready to become your furry lifelong friend. Check with my foster to arrange a Meet and Greet. I'll have my bags packed for that day. If you would like to meet me, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website. Story
Hi Y'All, My name is Robin and my foster mom says that I am a beautiful 6 month old kitten. The first thing everyone says when putting their eyes on me is how beautiful she is. I have the greenest eyes and I am super soft. I don't meow but I squeak instead. I learned how to cat speak later than most kittens because I lived outside with other community cats for many months of my life. My fosters tell me that I am the most playful foster she's ever had. I love to play with other cats and when no one wants to play with ME I will entertain myself. Best of all is that I never get tired. My foster says that I will require a lot of patience when getting adopted. It took a month for her to let me pet her when I was first trapped. I am one of those animals that you have to work for, but once you get my trust I melt in your arms. I have been socialized around dogs and adult cats. I need to be in a house with other animals, and someone that understands that it takes time for some animals to open up. I am pawsssssitive that you will be kind and loving right away with me and that we will be best buddies in a short time after I come live with you. What more would you ever need??? I'm ready to become your furry lifelong friend. Check with my foster to arrange a Meet and Greet. I'll have my bags packed for that day. Story
Hi Y'all My name is Bailey and my foster mom says that I am the sweetest cuddle bug cat she has ever seen. I really love to cuddle and have my belly scratched. I sometimes give little nibbles and pull hands in closer, but I do stop as soon as you say “Easy, be nice”. I love chasing golf tees, leaves and little pompoms. I carry the little pompoms in my mouth around the house. I also like playing hide and seek and I will wait around corners for you. I am a nosy little bugger who loves to go into closets, cupboards and any closed doors. I can't help it...when a door is closed, I feel left out and I have to see what is going on behind Door #1 and Door #2. I haven't been locked into a closet yet but........... I will bring a cat’s joy and peace to your life. Are you ready to meet me and decide that I am purrrrrfect for you????? Story
Meet our sweet SC Peach! Peaches was found abandoned near a gas-station dumpster in Bluffton, but she did not let that get her down. She remains sweet and brave; and it is clear she had been in a home before. She is a true people cat, but definitely needs exercise and play before she settles down for cuddles or naps. She is a young and VERY smart cat. She loves cuddles and just hanging out after play. She is fully vetted, spayed and estimated at 9 months to a year or so in age. While Peaches is a love and would probably do well with another kind cat in her new home, she would also thrive as a spoiled solo cat. Understanding she has been through some rough times and will need a little time to settle into her new home and trust her new people, respectful/gentle older children or no children are recommended. Very few orange cats are female, so this little girl is a true diamond in the rough. For the safety of our cats, a home check is a condition of adoption, but this can be done at the time of adoption as we bring the cat to you! We offset this by a low adoption fee. INDOOR HOMES ONLY. Our required application can be found here: https://form.jotform.com/231967731104152

Story
Oreo has been with us for a little while now and we have really gotten to know him. He came to us when he was abandoned with his sister Hazel (now adopted) at a local trailer park. He has been taken into a wonderful foster home to decompress from his time on the streets and wow, is he is doing GREAT! The potential in him is truly unlimited; and someone will be so lucky to have this journey of discovery and further emotional healing with him. We have learned he is a total love bug once he learns to trust you. This can take a week or two, so we are looking for a kind and patient adopter to simply let this shy little guy acclimate at his own speed. We have also learned that he does great with other young cats and might really enjoy a cat-friendly, confident buddy who will show him the ropes in his new home. But he would also thrive as your one and only. Let’s work together to find this diamond in the ruff his furever family. He is estimated at about 2 years old, fully vetted, healthy and on the smaller side for a male cat. He has great litter box habits, isn’t picky about food. INDOOR HOMES ONLY (he has had enough of the streets). For the safety of our cats, home visits required. We make this as convenient and unobtrusive as possible. Adoption fee $50. If you are interested in adopting Oreo, please fill out our required application via the below link: https://form.jotform.com/231967731104152

Story
Meet our newest addition, Sonny One-Eye! This awesome guy is wearing his scar with pride because it shows what a survivor he is; and that he was meant to pull through and find his furever family! Is that you? Sonny was abandoned at a local feeding colony and was probably someone’s pet. He showed up one day with a badly damaged eye. We don’t know exactly what happened, but the eye was beyond saving and he was suffering. So one of our incredible volunteers took him in and nursed him to health. He now has a clean bill of health and is ready for his new life. He has been nothing but sweet and gentle during his healing process. He has no limitations. As you can see from his photos, this guy is a LOVE. He is so relieved to be off the streets and is looking for a safe place to lay his paws. He is social, outgoing and definitely on the chill side. His happiest life is hanging out with his person and relaxing. He has awesome litter box habits and is not picky about food. Sonny is not giving up his age, but he is estimated anywhere between 5-8 years old. If you are interested in adopting Sonny, please fill out our required application via this easy online form and someone from AAC’s Cat Adoption Team will respond quickly: https://form.jotform.com/231967731104152 INDOOR HOMES ONLY! Life on the streets was rough on this poor fellow. For the safety of our cats, home visits are also required, but we strive to make this as easy as possible. AAC takes in cats that truly have nowhere else to go but we have VERY limited space. Your adoption not only saves Sonny’s life but opens up a precious space for another cat to be saved.
