Story
This is Prince Noir, we just call him Prince. He and his sister, TicTac, both took quite a while to come around and allow us to pet them. Neither of them likes to be held, although they will curl up next to me, on occasion, to get pet and take a nap. Now, they both still have their moments of running off, but they are both much more comfortable with us now. They are both sweet, soft, and silky kittens that do enjoy receiving, as well as giving love. I call him my bathroom buddy because, pretty much every time you go to the bathroom, he comes in to get and give affection. He will put his paws up on my lap or stretch up the wall next to you to be pet. Tic Tac does the stretching up the wall to get pet, too. He will lay by/on your feet so you will pet him and give him belly rubs. He purrs a lot then. Otherwise, he is pretty quiet. They both love snuggling, bathing, and playing with their other siblings as well.Prince Noir and Tic Tac need to be adopted together. :)

Story
his is TicTac. She is a very sweet, petite beauty. She and her brother, Prince Noir, whom we just call Prince, took quite a while to warm up to us. They both still have their moments of running away from us, but can also be very sweet and affectionate. She is a little nurturer. She likes to lick, as if giving you a bath, as she would herself or her `siblings`. We have her and her brother as fosters, but we also have four other cats, two sets of brothers;7 all of whom were stray kittens either born in our back yard, or at least raised there. The two of them are both soft and silky. Prince, however, is not only built a bit bigger, his fur is fuller, and a little silkier. She was named TicTac because three of her feet each has one white toe that looked like a little white TicTac. The other foot has three white toes. She has a white patch on her chest, which at the correct angle resembles a heart. She also has a little patch of white in her `armpits` and pretty green eyes.Tic Tac and Prince Noir must be adopted together. :)

Story
Little Lily Mae has had such a journey. A finder discovered her as a one-pound kitten in the parking lot at Kohl`s. Her intestines were not fully formed, so she underwent a risky surgery and survived! Now, at two years old, the petite lady is healthy and looking for a calm, quiet home to savor all that life has to offer. She`s a little picky about who she spends her time with, but if she likes you, she likes you forever. For more resources to help with at any step of your adoption journey, click here: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDT

Story
Lynk came into the shelter as a very feral kitten but has grown accustomed to the indoor lifestyle. That said, his rogue-ish start to life has led him to be a skulker who prefers to be seen and not coddled. If you want to feel like somebody`s watching you or you`d like to play a perpetual game of I Spy with this goofy boy, he would love a forever home.

Story
Please contact Eloise (mkeithan@windstream.net) for more information about this pet. Jake i s a beautiful, light yellow male tabby. He has a sweet, loving personality, and a curious, playful temperament.  He gets along very well with both kittens and cats. Jake and his sibs - Jasper and Juliet - were born in mid-April, 2013, and were found living under a shed in a nearby town in mid-May.  They obviously needed and wanted some human TLC, as their mother was nowhere to be found.  They joined my rescue in mid-May, and blossomed into 3 wonderful little kittens. Jake loves to play tag, hide-and-seek, and king-of-the mountain with the other cats and kittens in the kitty room. He also likes to investigate everything new that comes into his environment.  And he's one of the first on-the-scene when it's time to eat. Jake also likes personal attention and loving from his human friends, and thanks them with a big purr-session. Juliet has been adopted, but Jake and Jasper are still waiting for their fur-ever families.   Jake is neutered, litter-trained, feline leukemia negative, and up-to-date on his vaccines.  If you'd like to meet Jake, and maybe Jasper, too, please contact  Eloise, 570-428-2179 or ekeithan50@gmail.com.  They'd love to have a home and family of their own.  January 9, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Please contact Eloise (mkeithan@windstream.net) for more information about this pet.Playful. Loving. Sweet. Energetic. Cuddly. Sisters. That’s us - Timidi and Tessa. (Timidi has a little more orange in her coat than Tessa). Although Timidi may need a little extra time to show you just how loving and affectionate she can be, we are both fantastic LAP-KITTIES. We are torbies - which are tortoiseshell tabbies  We will make wonderful additions to any family. We also have 3 yellow sisters (all e have already been adopted) and a calico mom. We girls were found living outdoors in a rural area in 2012.  The man who found us was not able to give us the care we needed – he was feeding us DOG food, so we all came into foster care in July, 2012, when we kittens were about 5 weeks old. We are both lovers - lots of purring, lots of energy, and lots of love and affection to give to our humans.  We love to play with each other, of course, but we also enjoy playing with our kitty toys - balls with bells in them and feather toys. And we REALLY love curling up in a friendly lap for some special loving. We would love to be adopted together, but realize that might not happen.  All we really want is for each of us to have a loving, purr-manent home, even if we’re n.ot together. The girls were born in mid-June, 2013.  They are spayed, up-to-date on vaccine and feline leukemia/FIV negative.  If you'd like to meet Tessa, Timidi and/or Lisa, please contact Eloise, Kats by Keithan, 570-428-2179 or ekeithan50@gmail.com.  Don't delay - they're all waiting for that purr-fect family to call and invite them home.January 9, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Please contact Eloise (mkeithan@windstream.net) for more information about this pet.  Jasper is a beautiful, rich orange tabby with a white bib and 4 white paws. He has a fantastically soft fur coat. He also has a fantastic personality.  Jasper is loving, affectionate, energetic, and entertaining.  He will make a wonderful addition to any family. Jasper and his sibs - Jake and Juliet - were born in mid- April and were found living under a shed in a nearby town in mid-May.  They obviously needed and wanted some human TLC, as their mother was nowhere to be found.  They joined my rescue in mid-May, and have blossomed into 3 wonderful little kittens. Jasper loves to romp and play with the other cats and kittens in the kitty room.  He can entertain himself with his kitty toys or on the climbing tower - which he loves.  When he's all tuckered out, he just curls up with the closest warm body and settles down for a nap. Jasper has the sweetest face - and temperament to match. Jasper is neutered, litter-trained and up-to-date on his vaccines.  If you'd like to meet Jasper, and maybe Jake, too, please contact  Eloise, 570-428-2179 or ekeithan50@gmail.com.  They'd love to have a home and family of their own. Story
Please contact Eloise (mkeithan@windstream.net) for more information about this pet. Momma is a gorgeous solid black adult kitty whose previous owners relocated out of state and were not able to take her along. She's been living in a rescue situation for several months, but would be much happier  in a real home. Momma is super sweet, very quiet, and very reserved. She loves attention and especially enjoys having her head and neck rubbed. She is does not like to be picked up or held, but she LOVES sitting close to her people for petting. She gets along well with other cats. She will make a wonderful addition to some lucky family. Momma is 5 years old, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and feline leukemia/FIV negative. If you would like to meet  Momma, please contact  Eloise, 570-428-2179 or ekeithan50@gmail.com. Momma's waiting patiently for that purr-fect family to come take her home January 9, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Kit Kat (5/25/2014) came to us as jaded and suspicious. She had been bounced around for a few years but in all those homes, had the opportunity to roam outside freely and wasn`t sure about her new accommodations at ARC. She was equally unsure about the staff and decided that she would meet both with anger and hostility, especially our one staff member, Sue. After a few months, however, she realized that our shelter was a happy, safe place despite her best efforts to convince the other cats to start a cat fight club or mutiny against staff. Now, Kit Kat gets along with ALL cats in her unit and can even be caught snuggling with them in the beds under the window. She has come to love and ADORE all staff (especially Sue!) and runs to the door to greet visitors and if you don`t immediately drop everything to pet her, she will throw herself in front of you to demand attention. If you happen to trip over her, she will immediately try to crawl onto you as you lay sprawled on the floor and begin purring contently with the hopes that you will remain on the floor snuggling her. Though she is technically a senior, she has the energy and agility of a kitten and wows everyone with her gymnast moves chasing catnip mice. Kit Kat is both long and short haired in that she has extremely dense, thick fur and the CUTEST ear tuffs. Initially, when she was possessed by the spirit of Church himself, we wondered if we had somehow brought a wild Palla cat into the shelter but have since learned it`s just another endearing and unique feature she possesses. Kit Kat`s ideal home would be with a human or two or three to lavish attention on her, another cat or two to occasionally snuggle with and a large window with a soft bed underneath it. Kit Kat is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for FELV, FIV. To meet Kit Kat, complete a pre-approval at our website or call 570-784-3669 Ext 2.
