Story
Some may say I can seem kind of stuck-up or full of myself every now and then, but then again, who doesn’t?! When they get to know me better, I’m sweet enough in my own right! For me, life’s all about putting my best paw forward as long as it’s on my own terms, taking it one step at a time, so you’ve just got to give me chance to come out of my shell first! Any introvert knows how sacred their alone time is, and that I’ll leave my comfort zone behind only once my social battery has been recharged! Really, just being in the same room as my friends while they’re on their phone is how I best like to show my affection! To adopt me please fill out the online application at: https://cocoakitties.org/adoption-application Cocoa Kitties rescues cats off the streets of Hershey and surrounding towns. We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is funded 100% by donations. We do not operate a shelter but keep our kitties in foster homes. We rely on foster families who open their homes to care for the kitties we rescue. We ask that you complete an application before we send you into the homes of our volunteers. Also please keep in mind that applications are always being processed so we cannot guarantee the availability of a kitty until your application is approved. We operate on a first approved basis. We work very hard to process applications in a timely manner but rely on your references, veterinarian, and landlord to respond so please let them know we will be contacting them. ~You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt. ~Your current pets need to be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and they need to be altered. ~ If you are adopting a kitten and have no other pets at home please consider adopting two. Kittens thrive in pairs. Kittens: $125 Cats: $100 Before they go home our kitties are: · Vaccinated age appropriately (Rabies and FVRCP) · Treated for internal and external parasites* · Tested for FELV/FIV · Microchipped · Spayed/Neutered (for kittens that is around 12 weeks of age) · Started on flea prevention *Parasites are common in kittens and cats and may take time to treat completely. We cannot guarantee that your cat or kitten will be completely worm/parasite free at adoption. We do not declaw our kitties and do not allow adopters to declaw them. We require our kitties to live indoor lives. Lifetime Commitment: Please remember a kitty requires a 100% committed family for the kitty's entire lifetime which is some cases can be more than 20 years. Talk this through completely with your family and make sure everyone is onboard before completing this application.

Story
Much like how my tortie coat looks a bit like camouflage, I’m shy around new soon-to-be friends, and tend to run and hide when they try to make an introduction. Didn’t your parents ever teach you about stranger-danger! So, I’m not the best when it comes to first impressions, but I’ll have you know that I’m a social butterfly to the best of my abilities if it’s one-on-one with someone I trust! Once given a chance to leave my cocoon, I’ll bask in the attention until I’ve deemed myself satisfied. Though I have my moments of reverting back to old habits, as we all do, and playing hide-and-seek without you being in on the game, I’ll steal your heart in the long-run because if you’ve seen my face, you'd know it’s already rigged in my favor! I am so excited to see you! I love attention! Whenever the volunteers come to see me, I am the first one to greet them at the door. I'm also very photogenic which works out great for picture day! Although when you tell me me to say cheese, I like to purr instead. Story
My name might be inspired by a type of tree, but I'm actually the softest girl in the world! Hey there, I'm Mahogany. I found myself in a rough situation with my three kittens, but CocoaKitties saved our lives and now I'm looking for my own happily ever after. My foster parents tell me that I'm the sweetest lady ever, and I see no reason to disagree! Cuddling and getting pet is so nice, it makes up for all my stress from when I was outside. I also love these fun toys that indoor kitties get. It's a relief to be safe inside, and once I find my forever family I just know life will be perfect!
