Nicklaus is a chunky 3 year old all gray neutered DSH. He is declawed in the front and has been microchipped. He is so so so extremely loving to his humans and other cats and dogs. He thrives in a loud environment, he is not one of those cats that runs and hides when company comes over. In fact he will come out and see everyone, loud kids too! He loves all attention. He is a cuddle bug and will lay in bed with you all day if you let him. He loves to play with his other cat and dog siblings and will push up against them to get attention. This has been an extremely hard decision for me because he fits so well with everyone in the family but he has spells where he will have accidents outside his litter box. He goes months without an issue but then something happens and he has spells where he goes outside the box again.

NAME: Squeaks BREED: DSH BIRTHDAY: July 2020 ADOPTION FEE: $75   Squeaks got his name by literally squeaking until he was rescued. Somehow the very tiny young guy found himself by the dumpster of a hotel in Gettysburg, along a busy roadway. He was all alone in the dark and the rain, but luckily started squeaking just as the director of our rescue was walking to her car after work. He squeaked by the dumpster and then ran to the utility shed and squeaked in there, never showing himself for a second. Finally he held still and squeaked long enough to get snatched up and driven home, where two foster kittens named Rhett and Link were waiting to welcome him into our rescue.   These three boys were adopted together, and grew up together in what we believed was their forever home. Sadly, when their human brother came along they found themselves in need of a new place to live: the new baby is allergic to cats. Now this trio is back in GOT, in a small room where they will have to wait for another family to take them in. This time they are not small kittens but big grown-up boys, and Squeaks especially is a chunker. We know they are less likely to get adopted now, but we are hoping that someone will come along who just wants a handsome young cat to cuddle, love, and play with. Our dream home would take all three boys together, but since Rhett and Squeaks are particularly bonded our goal is to keep them together if nothing else.   From the boys' former family: Squeaks is our beautiful brown striped boy. Have you ever met a cat that loves belly rubs? No? Good! Then Squeaks is your man, he will flop right in front of you and meow for belly rubs. He is a cuddle bug who loves the tops of chairs and couches to lounge in the sun. He also likes treats and being your right hand man in the kitchen! His favorite toys are anything with catnip and a little plush squirrel. He is a little chunky but don't let that fool you, he will jump in the air to get a dangling toy! I was just a baby, so I was brought in with two of my brothers, Mowgli and Akela who are also still available for adoption.  It does take me a little while to come out of my shell. I get along great with other cats and would do better in a multi cat house, although it's not required. I love to play with toes. I don't use my claws, but I may give you a gentle love bite every now and then. Birthday: September 7, 2019 If you want to talk about a kitty-lover, no human alive can even come close when you compare them to Kandy!  This girl is a cat girl!  She always has been even when she was a stray!  Kandy was rescued when she was about a year old while she was wandering around Harrisburg during the summer of 2020.  Little did her rescuers know that they didn't just rescue one kitty; they rescued 4!  That's right!  Little Kandy was pregnant with kittens!  Thankfully, they were delivered safely to the delight of their mother.  She was incredibly attentive mama who didn't let them out of her sight!  Once they were all adopted, Skitzer decided it was her turn to find a family! It wasn't easy initially!  The poor girl was very skittish around humans initially.  It took about a year for her foster parents to show her that humans aren't all scary!  Once she became used to them, she began to show them a bit of love too!  It went from hiding behind furniture to being held like a baby!  Maybe not for the longest periods, but she loved every second of it!  She'll only blossom more if she finds a home with people who are interested in socializing her and make her feel safe! However, NOTHING compares to her love for her brethren!  She somehow managed to develop a friendship with other kitties in her foster home though mutual grooming and cuddling!  She may even warm up in her future family home if they have a kitty buddy for her!  Don't worry though!  She's one of the most passive cats you've ever see, and if there is already a "top dog" in the house, she will be submissive towards them. Birthday: October 19, 2018 Special kitties and the people who love them deserve special treatment. That’s why Laurel has a watercolor portrait which will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts her. Laurel is sitting up high on her laurels!  This one-of-a-kind girl loves to tell you about her day and a story or two!  She's always striving to find new things to investigate just so she can tell you about it!  Always yearning for knowledge, this intelligent little lady will always wonder what's going on in the world!  Through her adventures, she's discovered the wonders of ping pong balls!  You can throw one around the house, and she will run after it like she was a cop chasing a jailbreaker!  She's climbing to the high peaks in her foster home and plays like she's a young kitten! Laurel will strike up a conversation with anyone!  It can be a person or another animal!  She doesn't mind calm, respectful puppy dogs; she also respects smaller animals, including rabbits and guinea pigs!  Initially, we thought that whenever she looked at the window and saw birds, she would talk to them as if they were buddies.  Little did we know that she was actually telling them off!  We guess she isn't much of a bird lover!  Though she is a social butterfly, Laurel wishes that her new home doesn't have any young children.  Plus, she wants to be the only cat in her household!  She's become a little "Regina" in her feline social circle, and we don't want any bullying to happen! Laurel is an incredibly active kitty!  It's hard to believe that this girl has diabetes!  She's currently under a special diet and given insulin twice a day to manage it!  If we weren't the ones administering it, we'd wouldn't have ever guessed!  We are starting to think she's too sweet for her own good!  Sure, she has an active side, but she also has a loving side!  She'll follow you around the house and stay close by your side.  She can't stand the thought of you being lonely!  In fact, she'd sit on your lap all day if you let her! Birthday: July 8, 2020 We have a Mocha for you that is the perfect blend of all personality traits!  She has that mixture of sweet and sassy that just hits home differently from other kitties!  She gives class a whole new meaning, and her looks only accentuate this personality!  With a big personality like hers, she would be perfect as an only kitty.  However, she's willing to have another kitty sibling as long as they are accepting of her. As long as you respect her needs, she'll respect yours in return!  She's amicable like that, and she grows a deeper connection with her humans when they do.  Whenever someone disrespected her boundaries (i.e. pick her up or pull her out of her hiding place), she would defend herself by biting them.   As long as you can follow these two rules of hers, Mocha would be the partner you'd never thought you needed! Sweetness is only as good as you put into someone, and Mocha is chock full of it!  Once she gets used to you, she will shine through like you've never seen her previously.  She loves attention, and she will do anything to get some pettings!  She loves to love, and it definitely shows!  When Mocha first arrived at her foster's home, she was a scared and stressed little kitty.  By the time her foster got through to her, she became the most loving and relaxed kitty!  It was a complete 180 degrees!  One of the ways to break through the ice with her is to have soft ball toys for her!  We can assure you that she'd be anything but relaxed!  It's like she saw a soccer ball and turned into an athlete!  Give her some love, and she'll show you some tricks! There is no force strong enough that could tear these two girls apart!  Ever since they arrived in their foster home, there hasn't been a moment where these two girls aren't with each other!  If there is one thing in common that they share, it's love.  There's never enough love to give and never enough to share!  And it expands beyond humans!   Charlotte was dumped in a remote fishing area to fend for herself.  She would walk up to passerby fishermen begging for food and help.  She was eventually retrieved by a rescuer and sent to LCCR in the hopes of finding her a home.  Little did they know that she would find her best friend, Lulu!  And even better, other kitties! Lulu is definitely a cat's cat!  She has made it her goal to befriend any kitty that comes into the foster home!  She definitely wouldn't mind if her new home has other kitty siblings!  She doesn't care how old or young, big or small they might be!  Heck, she doesn't even care if they are kitties!  She'll brush against the nearest human while flashing her inescapable soft, bubbly eyes at you, just for pets!  She was able to wrangle in Charlotte into her friend circle, and they have been inseparable ever since! These girls are quite the pair!  Both are incredibly loving towards their brethren and adore humans to a fault!  Lulu might be more inclined to befriend other animals, such as dogs, but Charlotte may shy away from them.  As long as they are kitty-friendly, though, she's more than willing to give them a try!  She certainly doesn't seem to mind her current foster's pet doggie that much!  Both seem to do great around well-behaved children as well! Birthday: May 24, 2020 Smokey was an original LCCR kitty from a few years ago.  Unfortunately, she made a return after living a few years with her former family.  She was living the dream and happily shared her family with another kitty.  However, after a stray cat made its way outside of her house, she became very stressed.  At that point, she had a hard time living with her kitty sibling, and the family had to make the difficult decision to return her to the rescue.   Smokey, however, hasn't given up hope on finding a family!  She still loves humans, and she wants to find one that would love her just as much as she would love them!  Originally, she and her three siblings were part of a TNR project.  When the workers saw that all four kitties were sick, they decided to trap them and seek medical help.  Thankfully, they were successful, and the vet treated them for URI.  It was decided at that point that they were wonderful kitties and could live a better life with a human family.     We don't need to tell you how beautiful this little torti girl is!  You can see for yourself!  The different shades of brown and black splashes make her a very unique looking kitty!  She's almost the living embodiment of autumn with all of the different colors!  Of course, looks are one thing; personality is another!  Well, we are happy to report that she is a wonderful kitty!  She'd be great with anyone, even children!  She's an explorer at heart and loves to find new places in search for adventure!  If her curiosity wasn't catching your attention, her purrs definitely will!  It's almost a rarity when she isn't purring!  She always seems to be content, and she's more than willing to share her contentment with you!
