Story
Maverick, Marvin, Monique & Malcolm Need a little magic in your life? Meet the marvelous “M” kittens! These three siblings and their “brother from a different mother” Malcolm were rescued as tiny kittens within days of each other. Now fully vetted, the “M” kittens are ready to embark on a new life adventure with families of their own. Tuxedo kitten Maverick is the inquisitive and curious one-usually the first to investigate and discover new experiences. He is everyone’s compadre, making new friends easily. Black kitten Marvin is a bit more mannerly. Although certainly athletic and playful, he craves meaningful relationships where he can croon a melodic purr or two and share a lap. Monique has a magnetic personality with eyes that sparkle mischievously. She is spunky and has no problem holding her own with the boys. In fact, she can usually outpace them when chasing a laser light or toys. Monique’s swirled tabby and white coat is quite stunning. Malcolm is a mellow and sweet lover boy who will melt in your arms. He is mindful of others and tenderly “mothered” the other kittens who were just a bit younger. Meet the “M” kittens and add some merriness and magic to your family.

Story
Finnegan and Fitzpatrick These two lads are hoping to catch the attention of some orange tabby cat fanciers! 🐈 While around 80% of orange tabby cats are male, they are also are known in the cat world to have certain personality traits. Ginger cats tend to be some of the, “sweetest, lackadaisical felines that love long naps and snuggles.” Finnegan and Fitzpatrick certainly fit this bill. Born in May, these two brothers are calm and gentle kittens who given their current size, are likely to be big boys. (Something orange tabby cats are also known for). Don’t get us wrong, Finnegan and Fitzpatrick love to play but they love their leisure and lounging time too. At first glance the brothers appear to be twins until you notice Finnegan’s white tipped front toes. They would likely prefer a home that isn’t too chaotic but where their family would give them plenty of love and attention. Finnegan and Fitzpatrick seek each other’s company but are equal opportunity “schmoozers” who will often times be found sleeping intertwined with other kittens in their room. It’s just part of their easygoing nature. In closing Finnegan and Fitzpatrick wanted to share their Irish blessing: ☘️ “May you have a cat in your lap and love in your heart.” They would be more than happy to oblige!

Story
Steeley Dan This little kitten with a big name had a rough start, not too dissimilar to many kittens we’ve seen this year. Found alone on a porch, his eyes were crusted shut to the point where he was presumed to be blind. His finder’s last name was Steeley, and she reached out for aid. After a flea bath and warm compresses on his eyes, we saw that this little kitten with strong will needed a bold name to match! Digging into her musical knowledge, his new foster mom decided on a band name, and so “Steeley Dan” became the little one’s official name. 🎶 After treating long-lasting eye infections that resulted in only minimal scarring, Steeley proved that he wouldn’t let a rough start prevent him from enjoying life! Mellow and sweet and loving to snuggle, Steeley Dan has made new friends with kittens and cats alike, even charming one of the more ornery cats in his foster home. Steeley has done great with the children (and adults!) he met at library story time, showing how adaptable he can be to new people and surroundings, and would even do well with a calm canine. Steeley Dan would love to make some music with you!

Story
Kit Kat (5/25/2014) came to us as jaded and suspicious. She had been bounced around for a few years but in all those homes, had the opportunity to roam outside freely and wasn`t sure about her new accommodations at ARC. She was equally unsure about the staff and decided that she would meet both with anger and hostility, especially our one staff member, Sue. After a few months, however, she realized that our shelter was a happy, safe place despite her best efforts to convince the other cats to start a cat fight club or mutiny against staff. Now, Kit Kat gets along with ALL cats in her unit and can even be caught snuggling with them in the beds under the window. She has come to love and ADORE all staff (especially Sue!) and runs to the door to greet visitors and if you don`t immediately drop everything to pet her, she will throw herself in front of you to demand attention. If you happen to trip over her, she will immediately try to crawl onto you as you lay sprawled on the floor and begin purring contently with the hopes that you will remain on the floor snuggling her. Though she is technically a senior, she has the energy and agility of a kitten and wows everyone with her gymnast moves chasing catnip mice. Kit Kat is both long and short haired in that she has extremely dense, thick fur and the CUTEST ear tuffs. Initially, when she was possessed by the spirit of Church himself, we wondered if we had somehow brought a wild Palla cat into the shelter but have since learned it`s just another endearing and unique feature she possesses. Kit Kat`s ideal home would be with a human or two or three to lavish attention on her, another cat or two to occasionally snuggle with and a large window with a soft bed underneath it. Kit Kat is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for FELV, FIV. To meet Kit Kat, complete a pre-approval at our website or call 570-784-3669 Ext 2.
