Story
Paisley is a wonderful young girl looking for a loving and lasting forever home. She was adopted previously but then found as a stray. Her adoptive owner did not care for her or want her back when she was found. While out on her own, we believe that Paisley had a run in with another stray cat with feline AIDS (feline FIV). When Paisley came back into our care, she tested positive for FIV. Paisley is approximately 2 years old with a petite frame. In fact, her rescuer thought she might be a kitten but the vet estimated her age as 2 years old. Paisley is very sweet with a friendly demeanor and is very affectionate and talkative. She likes to “head bump” a lot and rub up against your legs. She enjoys being petted and purrs when she eats. She also kneads frequently when you love on her. Please don’t let Paisley’s FIV status deter you. Cats with FIV can live normal, health lives just like other cats. Paisley is currently doing great now that she is in a caring foster home. She should not be in a home with other non-FIV cats but can be with other cats with FIV. Paisley wants nothing more than to be loved and have a good home. We know the home that Paisley finds will be just as grateful to have her as Paisley will be to live there. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying, www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Story
Approx DOB: August 2016 Katie was rescued as a small kitten from being outdoors on her own. She has lots of energy and loves to play. She will happily play with wands toys or bouncing types of toys with her family but is also very good at entertaining herself. She likes to be with people and, once acclimated, will happily follow her family around the house and curl up on the couch while they watch TV. Katie is scared of new situations or new people and takes some time to get used to these changes. Katie needs someone who will patiently remind her of good behaviors and help her get acclimated to her new home. The investment in this little beauty is worth it! All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Approx DOB: September 2018 Toni is a loving and sweet girl who enjoys the simple things in life. She loves nothing more than playing and then spending time gazing out windows at the outside world. Toni would prefer another cat friend to play with her. She also gets along with quiet dogs – she prefers to just watch them from the staircase. Toni is often the first one in bed at night and will keep you company while you fall asleep. She won’t stay there though but will come back in the morning. Toni has the softest fur and loves being petted. She would also prefer a home without small children. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Approx DOB: January 2020 Are you hoping to adopt a special cat who really needs a second chance? O'Malley (ID#21020) would be a great choice! He's truly a gentle giant, with massive paws, massive toe beans, massive teeth, a massive head and a massive heart to match it all. This young cat is shy and takes a while to get into his comfort zone when it comes to new people and places, but once he does, he's curious, playful and full of affection. O'Malley would do best in a home with adults/older teens. He would also do best with an experienced cat owner who understands sensitive and shy kitties. It takes O'Malley a little time to trust a new person in his life. Once you've gained his trust, he is very affectionate, will make you laugh and be a great companion. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Location: Chambersburg, PA Approx DOB: September 2020 Lucy Fur was been with her foster mom since her birth. Her mom was caught for TNR (trap-spay/neuter-release) but gave birth to four kittens before she could be spayed. Lucy’s siblings have each found their forever homes and Lucy is hoping for the same. Lucy is a lovely girl. She loves to cuddle and watch TV with you. When you’re busy, she enjoys looking out windows. She loves her toys especially the laser light toys and play tunnels. Lucy also loves to take a nap with you. Lucy has been spayed and is current on vaccines. Lucy and her siblings also tested positive for Felv/feline leukemia. They’ve had great care and nutrition since birth and are very healthy. Lucy eats a high protein diet and enjoys dry and canned food. Lucy has only been around small children when visitors come. She does not run up to them but she will go near them after a while and even play with them. She has not been around dogs. There are two other cats in Lucy’s foster home but she hasn’t had direct contact with the. However, she wants very much to be with them. She shows no aggression when she sees them. Her foster thinks she would do well with other Felv cats, but she will also be a wonderful single cat too. If you’re interested in adopting Lucy, please contact Georgina at (717) 261-1315 or ggibbons3@comcast.net.

Story
Approx DOB: May 2021 Although Didi (ID#21177) is a quiet and shy cat, she gets along nicely with all the fosters. She will warm up and get pets, she just seems a little nervous. She lost her littermate in the early days, which may contribute to this nervous stance. She plays along with the others, when laser lights or wand toys come out. She shows growth as she observes her foster mom interacting with all the other cat kiddos. Didi is waiting to meet you and grow her relating abilities. She wants a family to love and make her own. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Finn was born December 14, 2023 - we adopted his mother, not knowing she was pregnant. He was adopted at 8 weeks old, and we loved seeing him grow in pictures. They recently asked us to take him back, due to personal reasons, and we aren’t allowed more animals in our lease. So we are looking for a new home for him. He is very affectionate and vocal, a lovely older kitten who would make any family happy.

CLIFFHANGER IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! This is Cliffhanger, a lovely tabby/white small female kitty who was born around 6/28/2023.  She is very affectionate and playful. She loves NAPS.  If you cannot find her, she is likely snuggled up taking a nap.  The perfect work-from-home companion kitty.  She loves to play and loves all cat toys and is definitely loads of fun. She loves to find an open drawer to snuggle in and she is very inquisitive. She could probably be a single kitty, but would also do well with a friendly low-key kitty.  She has never been around dogs and is not recommended for a dog home. She is neutered, has had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test.  The adoption fee of $295 also includes the transport to PA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring her up north once she is adopted.
