Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. We always need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? BENNY LEW is a gentle grey and white tuxedo special needs male cat looking for a loving and caring forever home. He’s a playful couch potato who enjoys playing with a dangling toy then snuggling up to a window to watch birds and rest. He loves to play with his springs and catnip mice. Benny Lew adjusted to his foster home quickly and began exploring immediately. Benny does, from time to time, skitter out the door because he used to be an indoor/outdoor kitty. He is, however, easy to lure back in; just shake the food container. Benny Lew is very "food" motivated. He gets along OK with most of  his fellow foster cats, but would do best as an only cat. Benny Lew is considered a special needs cat due to having diabetes, which seems to wax and wane (he is currently on an insulin dose).  He will also need to be on a special diet for his lifetime. Although he is considered an older adult cat, Benny Lew will be a loving companion for many years to come. He was surrendered to our rescue and we’ve been delighted to see his personality blossom. Patches was born outside near Monroe Park to a mom who was clearly a dumped friendly pet. She, her mom, and her siblings were fed on a porch by a nice neighbor, and we worked with toys and Churu to socialize the young family. Mom was hand-trapped easily, and Patches fell hard for Churu and pets before her siblings. She was fixed and had her first vaccinations at Echo Hollow Veterinary Practice. She is a very sweet girl who loves to play with wand toys, is starting to appreciate catnip, loves to be petted, and enjoys playing with her siblings, especially her brave boy sibling Sprite. She cuddles with her siblings at night and protects the shyest sibling when in a carrier or kennel. She immediately used the litterbox when she was hand-trapped, and the vet was surprised to hear that she had spent only a few nights inside before her first appointment. She is a loving but independent cat who would do well with either of her siblings (or both), or perhaps another cat.

She wanted nothing to do with her foster family and made that very clear. They gave her space, food and water, then slowly but surely she found her footing.
