Hey everyone, Tori was abandoned into my care by my brother-in-law about a month ago. She is having a hard time getting along with my cats (they don't understand personal space), and she needs a safe space to relax and grow into. She is fixed, has all her shots, and we have proof of her previous medical records + a certificate of good health. She knows come and sit, is healthy, energetic and likes to play with her toys. She is very vocal and loves to chat. She is 11 lbs., short n stout, making her a perfect, cuddly companion for long couch and lap time sessions. There is a small fee, just to weed out non serious applicants. We just ask that she goes to a loving home, and that she remain indoors only. She is good around all humans, but she isn't a fan of being picked up. Best to lead her where you want to go, use food to entice her! Speaking of food, she drinks lots of water and will come with her hard food, food bowl, collar, harness, leash, toys and carrier.

Maverick is our very special sweet boy who deserves all the love in the world! He's very laid back and will sit with you for hours watching movies and wants to be near you. Maverick is a speicial needs boy with severe CH (also known as wobbly cat syndrome). Here is a link where you can find more info on CH: https://www.thenoahcenter.org/2022/09/28/the-truth-about-ch-cats/ Maverick is about 4 years old and along with having CH, he is missing several teeth and has a front "snaggle tooth"- but is healthy! He's neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and has had base line bloodwork upon joining the rescue all of which was completely normal. He does have tremors that are common with CH and also a pretty severe head bobble - so drinking water is difficult and he eats wet food and sometimes dry kibble mixed in water in raised bowl. He was raised by a family who loved him very much but just didn't have the time to continue caring for him. He uses a litter box but because of his severity and wobbles, he needs help getting in and out and will lay down to do his stuff. He is on a schedule though and will go in the litter box when you put him in the box on a schedule. Maverick has lived with big dogs and other cats in his foster home, but he mostly loves just being with his person. If you have had a CH cat previously, then. you know how much love they provide and what a joy they are to care for. With Maverick's severity level, he does need someone who has experience with CH and is aware of what they require. We worked wtih him as a kitten and held and handled him daily and while his siblings, Spock and Cali both warmed up immensely - Red has a personality that is just skittish and a bit afraid. He is NOT aggressive, at all and will not scratch, bite or hiss - but he will run and hide and spends most days in his foster home's catio. If you are a home without small children (he would be scared) but have a quiet home with a cat or kitty needing a friend - he would be a great addition. His adopters just need to have VERY low expectations on him being a cuddler with people. With time, such as months or years, he will likely warm up to "HIS PERSON" but will likely never be a social kitty. He's been indoors since he was a small baby and is not a candidate for outdoors or barn living. He just needs a special home that understands he will co exist and watch you. He must have a friend in the home such as his brother Spock or a cat or kitten already in the home that will welcome him with love! ##2138714##

It is too stressful for the cats or kittens to be transported long distances, especially when enclosed in a vehicle containing dogs and puppies. Thank you for your understanding. Crunchy Granola Suite - I know it is a weird name but whatever. My foster mom and dad call me Gato to remind me that I am not a dog. (Gato means cat in another language) I like the dogs here. I play chase with them, and I will wrestle with the puppies although they are getting big and between the 2 of them, they can pin me down more often than I like. It's not fair getting ganged up on but I am a good gato, I just hiss and run and that usually takes care of that. The big dogs just walk on by me and occasionally I will swat their tails but really, they outweigh me by at least 70# so not much to play with there. I taught myself how to go in and out of the doggie door and like to lay in the sun when the weather is nice. I have been known to sneak across the street and sleep on the neighbor's porch chairs too. I probably shouldn't say that, but it is true. I will need a home with indulgent adopters or a home without the doggie door for me to sneak out of. If you are indulgent or don't have a doggie door, please let me know. I am very cuddly and like to sleep on your shoulder when you are doing dumb stuff like working on the computer or watch TV. I will also share your pillow at night if you let me and purr in your ears. Adoption fee is $150 and I am only adoptable in the state of Texas.
