Story
I am a special girl with funny view on the world. My eyes don`t work the best but I can still see enough to be a goof ball and a lover. I love to talk, whether its meowing for attention or trilling while looking out the window and running around with other cats. I take a while to get used to new cats but once I get used to them we become best friends. I love to wrestle with and then clean my friends. My best friend is Nikki. I was hand raised since I was about 10 days old so I am great at being handled, as long as you aren`t playing with my eyes. I will sometimes flinch when you first touch me if I don`t realize you were approaching or I don`t recognize your scent. My biggest down fall is I occasionally pee in the wrong spot, I don`t know why but the humans seem to think my anxiety is the main cause. When I was younger I went through an period where I couldn`t walk very well. The humans found I had Luxating patellas but that was not the overall cause. After many vet visits and tests they figured out I had an infection that was effecting my muscles. They put me on this gross meds and after a few days I had no more pain. I now continue to be a playful girl that just wants to be with people. I love wrestling and grooming other cats as well as playing with kicker toys or stuffed toys. I have been through a lot in my life but I am ready to find a place of my own that will love me the way I am. Kids: Older or adult onlyCats: Friendly and playful yes, slow introduction. I think Nikki would not like being without me so can you please adopt her too.Dogs: They don`t seem to bother meSpecial/Medical: Visually impaired, Anxiety, Inappropriate urination, Luxating Patellas, bad depth perception

Story
My name is Nikki. I learned how to behave from my feral mom. I am learning to be more comfortable around people but am still hesitant. I would be what would be considered a roommate cat. I am interested in what people are doing but would prefer not being touched. I do love other cats so I would need a cat in my forever home that would allow me to cuddle with them. I have a buddy here at the rescue named Tinsel, we have been together for so long now that I cry when she is out of my sight. But I will also try and bond with any cat that will let me. I am comfortable around people and let than get within an inch of me, but with treats they can sneak in a pet here and there. Kids: NoCats: Yes, the more the merrier in my opinion. I am now bonded with Tinsel.Dogs: OkayEnvironment: Indoor, Indoor/Outdoor, Barn/Shop

Story
Olivia is a very shy girl that may take a little bit of time to open up, but once she does she is a cuddle bug! She enjoys sitting with her people, giving them headbutts and receiving pets. If she isn`t getting enough cuddle time she will let you know with the cutest small chirps. A quiet, calm home would be best for her. She has had a few teeth removed and is on a limited food diet. Given her demeanor and the state of her teeth we think she is at least 5 years old if not older. She loves playing with a laser pointer, scratching a scratch pad, and lazing about. She also enjoys getting brushed and playing with little toys she can bat around.

I am a purr machine. I may be shy in new situations but once I get comfortable I want all the attention. I am not sure about dogs. I was rescued as a little kitten from a storm drain and then went to live in a home with dogs that didn`t like me so I am a bit nervous with dogs.Cats: yesKids: YesDogs: probably not but may do okay with slow introduction with dogs that mainly ignore cats

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Rehoming my senior(11) cat, he is unhappy being in a home with young kids and now we have another baby on the way he would probably be happy and healthier in a slower and less chaotic home. He would need to be in a home with no kids and no dogs, ideally no cats. He is very aggressive towards dogs. He is slightly overweight and this is something we have been working on with him. He is mostly indoors but does like to lay out in the sun in our back yard, does not leave our yard though. Not overly affectionate but does rub against legs and ask for pets as well as sometimes snuggle on the sofa. Would be happy in a calm home with someone looking for an older kitty companion. No medical issues as far as we know. He will come with a cat tree and his food!

Story
Gracie is very affectionate but skittish and loves to hide. She is indoor-only and does not do well in a loud environment. She is very much a lap cat when things are calm and enjoys cuddling. Gracie will scratch furniture so any upholstery available to her needs to be cat-proofed. She has never had an accident outside of her litterbox but does not do well with other animals, especially dogs. Gracie loves a laser pointer or any toy to chase. She needs wet veterinarian diet food as she has had kidney stones in the past. For more information contact Katina at Hannah Pet Hospital 503.300.6458 or katina.burr@hannahpethospital.com

Story
Hi, I'm Bleu! I'm a petite older lady looking for a loving home for my golden years. One of my people passed away and I was surrendered when my other person couldn't care for me anymore. I lived with 2 cats and a dog but didn't really love the other animals.I'm very sweet and gentle with people. I like to sit in a lap. I'm quiet and love to be near people. I meow sometimes for attention or if I don't like something. I have such a cute raspy meow.I'm a skinny lady and I have hyperthyroidism. I also was diagnosed with Stage 2/early Stage 3 kidney disease. I get subQ fluids 3 times a week to help keep my kidneys working well. I also take a little bit of heart medicine for a mild heart condition. Despite it all I am very engaging and friendly!I'm in a foster home so if you would like to meet me please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.org.My estimated birthdate is 11/1/2013.

Meeeooow! I'm Smudge! I'm a petite and talkative young lady. I look like an older kitten but I'm actually closer to 3 years old. I came from the county shelter. I'm friendly and playful but sometimes like things on my terms. I don't like sharing my space with other cats. I would not do well with very small children. I'm in a foster home. If you would like to meet me please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.orgMy estimated birthdate is 1/1/2021.

Story
Meow! I'm the handsome Kevin! I have cute little tips of fur on my ears that make me look like a lynx or wildcat. When my person passed away I was kicked outside where I was beat up a lot by other cats. I'm an affectionate guy but I can get a little overstimulated with too much petting and give a smack. I don't usually use my claws and I'm getting better on not doing this. I have allergies which may be food related or seasonal. When I came into the shelter I had lots of bald spots and scabs from scracthing off my fur. I'm doing great now with an allergy pill and prescription food and my fur is cleared up. I do well with other cats. My estimated birthdate is 2/2/2022.

Story
Meet Nemesis, a graceful and enchanting feline in search of a new human companion to call her own. With her distinctive personality and deep capacity for connection, she’s on a quest to find someone special who can become her true confidant.   When Nemesis forms a bond, she transforms into a remarkably affectionate and chatty companion, savoring intimate moments of bonding and conversation. While she thrives on meaningful interactions, Nemesis also values her personal space. It’s important to respect her boundaries, as she can become overstimulated and might swipe if petted for too long.   Nemesis excels in calm environments where she feels secure and at ease. Although she has coexisted with other cats and dogs before, she finds their presence overwhelming and prefers to retreat to her cozy hideaways. Therefore, a home without other animals or children is ideal for her.   Vaccinated, spayed, and in good health, Nemesis is free of any known medical issues—aside from being a bit chonky. She has a clean record with litter box use and hasn’t shown any inclination to damage furniture. If you're looking for a devoted and charming cat who will thrive in a peaceful setting, Nemesis could be the perfect match for you. Adopt fee is $50 this pretty girl lives in Salem. Story
Meet Apollo, the charming and spirited feline star of Portland! This delightful single-child kitty thrives as the center of attention, yet appreciates his quiet moments just as much. Apollo’s playful antics are sure to entertain, as he adores his toys and is always ready for a game or two—especially if treats are involved as his prize.   While Apollo may find the roar of a vacuum overwhelming, his curiosity and love for life remain undimmed, quickly recovering with his signature resilience and charm. He’s an indoor cat who revels in the comforts of home, making him perfect for an indoor-only lifestyle where he can rule as the loving monarch of his domain. Perfect for a household without other pets, Apollo enjoys a serene environment where he can connect deeply with his humans. He might be best suited in a home without very young children, but he will flourish in a setting that can offer him some tranquility along with the love and playtime he adores.   Choosing to find Apollo a new home was not an easy decision, but it’s one made with his best interests at heart. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a zest for life and an abundance of love to give, Apollo could be your perfect match. Ready to add a touch of whimsy and warmth to your life? Story
Missy was found as a stray 13yrs ago. She is shy, at first, then warms up. She has been an indoor/outdoor cat for the last 5 years. In the Summer you will find her in the sun, and the Winter she loves to lay by the fireplace or near the heater.   We have a dog that she tolerates, but not crazy about unfamiliar dogs or cats, hasn't been around kids. She is also happy to sit on your lap for scratches. We hate to let her go, we are Seniors ourselves and our living situation is changing. We have always lived where Missy had room to roam the yard away from any traffic, that is changing. She has not been around cars coming and going, so not "street smart."  Indoor - Outdoor depending on weather.  $40 rehoming fee.  Missy lives with her owner in Grants Pass, OR.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
