Story
Stella and her 4 siblings were born in their foster mom's living room to a very feral but loving momma. They stayed with her until they were 8 weeks old and their mom was fixed and released outside (but never really left). Stella was the first one born and has always been an adventurous and independent girl. She does love cuddles and kisses but she really loves to play and explore. She would do best in a home with another young or playful cat and she does well with dogs too! Her adoption fee includes everything involved with getting her to you in Canada (vet certificates, rabies vaccine, airline fee, adoption fee and carrier).

Story
Montgomery (Monty for short) is very curious, he follows his foster parents all over the house. He has started to enjoy pets and gentle brushing, and can be very silly, lying on his back with his feet in the air while playing with his toys or sleeping in that position. He has started sitting on the couch with his foster parents and has started embracing more and more gentle pets on his cheeks and back. He is still quite shy and nervous of loud sounds or sudden movements. He requires a patient and gentle adopter who is willing to spend time sitting with him, giving him treats, and letting him sniff their hand, he love to sniff a good elbow or hand to say hello. His foster parents spend a lot of time talking to him in a gentle voice, this has really helped his confidence. Monty spends most of his day grooming his bonded buddy Molloy. He LOVES temptation treats and will eat them out of our hands.Monty and Molloy grew up together in the same colony; they spend all their time together, sleeping, grooming, and wrestling with each other. They are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together! They will require a patient adopter who has experience with street cats, who understands that it will take some time to open up. They need someone who has space in their home to give them a quiet place to adjust to a new environment, it can take a little while for street cats to open up and feel safe. These boys also require an adopter who has experience getting street cats into a cat carrier, as they do not enjoy being picked up.As a senior cat, Montgomery requires yearly bloodwork to monitor his health. His next test is due in March 2024. Like all ACR cats, Montgomery has been treated for fleas and parasites.A little about Molloy:Molloy is very playful and silly. He loves being brushed as well as pets and chin scratches. He spends most of his day trying to get Monty to groom him and lick his head. He adorably lays on his back with his feet in the air waiting for Monty to come over and groom him.To see more of these two, check out their instagram page @montyandmolloyTo check out a video of Monty & Molloy loving each other`s company, follow this link: https://vimeo.com/908895139?share=copy

Every morning Molloy runs over squeaking looking for love and attention. The second his foster parents pet him he flops over on his side with excitement. He also enjoys being brushed and has perfect litter box habits. Check out his Instagram for flopping videos. He loves Monty his bonded brother, they spends most of their days snuggling. He loves to try to get Monty to groom him and lick his head. He adorably lays on his back with his feet in the air waiting for Monty to come over and groom him.He is very food motivated and loves to run across the room chasing after treats. When his fosters first got Molloy he was very shy. Then he realized that they have treats and food and he embraced attention and pets. When it`s dinner time he squeals in excitement or runs around our legs waiting for food :)Molloy needs a patient adopter who is willing to spend time with him, and who will give him LOTS of love and attention! He loves pets, and likes to rub up against his foster parents so they keep petting him. He does have a nervous side and will give you a gentle swat (no claws) as a warning. As a senior cat, Molloy requires yearly bloodwork to monitor his health. His next test is due in March 2024. Like all ACR cats, Molloy has been treated for fleas and parasites.A little about Monty:Montgomery (Monty for short) is very curious and likes to follow, sit near and watch his foster parents. Story
Sherlock (orange) and Watson (black) are bonded senior brothers who adore each other and must be adopted together. These quiet, sweet old gentlemen are looking for a calm, loving home where they can cuddle by a window and watch the world go by. They are playful with each other, often wrestling and chattering softly when left alone. Despite their senior status, they still enjoy toys like trackballs and batting toys, and both are excellent about using a scratching post. They are good with other cats and would probably enjoy having another cat friend to play with, though they are happiest together. We are unsure how they would respond to dogs.Having grown up in a feral colony, both boys are very shy and still being socialized after over a year in foster care. Sherlock is wary of humans and prefers to be in a different room, though he will cautiously come closer for a treat if you are patient. Watson is the more outgoing of the two, slowly warming up to human interaction, especially with the help of wet treats. He doesn`t mind hanging out in the same room with a person, making him a little easier to bond with. These senior boys are both toothless but can eat both dry and wet food. They are healthy but prone to over-eating, so their diet should be monitored.Sherlock and Watson hide from children and strangers, making them better suited for an adult-only home. Adopting them may pose a challenge, as they require a patient, experienced cat owner willing to work to earn their trust and affection, but the rewards of bringing these two bonded brothers into your home are immeasurable. They`ve already been through so much together and are ready to share their quiet love with someone who understands them.Watson has had major dental surgery with the majority of his teeth removed. As a senior cat, Watson requires yearly bloodwork to monitor his health. His next test is due in May 2025. Watson is negative for FIV and FeLV. Like all ACR cats, Watson has been treated for fleas and parasites.Video: Sherlock eating Churuhttps://va.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_rvraj4PAfj1qaimww_720.mp4Video: Sherlock and Watson cuddlinghttps://va.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_rvranazLfb1qaimww_720.mp4** In honor of senior cats everywhere, two generous sponsors have teamed up to cover the adoption fees for both Sherlock and Watson! Story
Lady Mittens is a lovely and shy little princess. She enjoys her personal space and a couple of times per day will come to you for brush sessions and booty pets. She will observe your daily routine from her shelf and will keep you company in the bathroom guarding you from unseen monsters. At night she loves to delight you with her beautiful voice by singing the song of her people in front of your bed. She is chatty, cooing like a cute pigeon. Lady Mittens is not food motivated but she absolutely loves to be brushed! She drools in complete bliss every time! The little potato will sleep strategically around you, in your vicinity. She is a former feral kitty. The first few weeks she felt most comfortable behind the toilet. She had amazing progress in the last 10-11 months, though she still is skittish and stays away from your path when she sees you walk around the house. Not a fan of playing with wands or with us, she has instead her catnip toys, mouse toy and random corks and balls that keep her busy. One of her favourite pastime is to watch birds and small animals videos on YouTube. From time to time, she has vivid dreams and wakes up crying - we calm her down by talking softly to her and petting her.The little lady has impeccable litter habits and if provided with enough scratching surfaces, she won’t destroy anything that is not meant to be destroyed. She never hissed at us, bit us, swatted at us. We clean her ears and cut her claws, check her fur and eyes, teeth etc. She is a very very good girl. We noticed she likes a bit of noise around her, like people chatting or music etc. we had friends over and she was curious and friendly and very relaxed! We don’t know how she is with children and other animals.Lady Mittens has a history of constipation for which she takes daily medication and special food. Lady Mittens needs someone that has experience with shy kitties and with administration of medicine, or someone that is willing and has the patience to learn. She is an absolute lovely soul. And if you don’t mind to be loved from the distance, she is the perfect match for you. She will respond to you with a little pigeon purr when you call her. And will come and gently push her forehead in your knuckles for pets. We have this cute routine where we come at her window shelf and bow down our heads, she sniffs/kisses our forehead/heads and then bows her head down to receive kisses on her forehead. In the evenings, she calls us fro

Story
Microchipped, DOB January 4, 2018 Lodian is a gentle and tender girl who absolutely loves being pet (chin/head/bum scratches)! She's a queen that knows what she wants and makes sure you know as well. She is vocal when she needs something, be it food or affection. Sweet Lodian shows her affection by migrating to whichever part of the house you're at and settling down near you, just wanting to spend some quality time. She’s not a super clingy cat and gives you your space. Lodian is also very calm while meeting new people and it’s easy to fall absolutely in love with her. Lodian is very entertaining to watch as every now and then, she will flip over (tummy-side up) to groom her majestic belly. If you look at her during this time, she would stop and look up at you completely startled as if you caught her getting up to no good! She's also the sweetest when she wakes up doing her little stretch and letting out cute meows. Lodian loves watching birds, playing with toys, and chasing the reflection of your phone on the wall on a sunny day (or a well lit room). Lodian is an overweight cat who is unable to groom her hind end. She needs to be wiped about 3 times a day (whenever she uses the litter box) with a damp paper towel. It usually takes ~15 seconds. However, she is well behaved during this time and doesn’t flinch once she knows you’re her caretaker. This little girl is full of surprises once she opens up to you and shows all her quirks, which usually takes some time. She's the sweetest gal and whoever is lucky enough to have her join their family will have a wonderful companion.

Story
10 Years old Please note, this is a posting through the Courtesy Adoption Program. Please contact the current owner directly for more details. Their details are below. Pooper is a shy girl who needs a minute to warm up to her new person, but when she does, she will be on your lap expecting cuddles and scritches! She is missing her elderly mom who has dementia and had to move into a long term care home where pets are not allowed. She loves her comfy plush bed pushed up next to the warm radiator where she can take long naps with her favourite carrot toy. She would do best in a quiet home with no other pets or young children. She would love to be the focus of your attention after she's had some time to settle in. She LOVES her treats and Churu tubes are a favourite, so keep those on hand for bribes! As you can see from her photo, she's excellent at Zoom calls! Grey Poupon is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. Story
DOB: November 20, 2018 Hi there. I'm Mystique! I am an adult tortoiseshell. Contrary to my name, I cannot shapeshift, nor do I have mutant powers. I would like to start off by saying that I am an extra-sweet cat. That's right, I'm diabetic! However, I do not let this get in the way of living my best life. I enjoy playing with all sorts of toys, my favourite being feathered toys on a wire stick. I also prefer to sit and nap close to my human, but I do enjoy my own personal space too from time-to-time. While I haven't yet shown any signs of being a lap cat with my foster dad, I do enjoy sitting close and sleeping in my cat bed next to my foster's bed and offering many slow blinks! I have lots of love to give. The rumours of 'tortietude' are really just that; rumours! I enjoy being brushed, however when I get into a sideways laying position, it is my way of saying that I am done for now. I am tolerable to being held, but not for too long. I have very good litter habits and eat and drink just fine. I can be very stressed at first when adjusting to a new environment, and just need a few days to decompress. I used to be skittish around new visitors coming into my home, but now I approach them with curiosity, and sometimes I give them kisses! I have been doing much better with visitors in my home. Mystique is a sweet, beautiful girl who has come a long way. She is currently diabetic and while in foster, she has yet to achieve remission. However, her glucose can managed well with two shots of insulin a day, every 12 hours. While in foster, Mystique's foster dad and TCR's health team have been able to determine how much insulin to administer depending on her current BG level. Mystique is strictly on wet food due to her diabetes, and she has no issues with eating. She has lost some weight while in foster care (possibly due to wet food diet but also a result of being diabetic), though fortunately her weight loss has begun to level off. Her weight should continue to be monitored often, along with her blood glucose levels. Mystique would do well in a quiet, single-pet home, as it is currently unknown whether she can do well with other cats or other pets in general. In any case, Mystique is best suited for anyone with experience in caring for diabetic cats, or anyone willing to learn. If there is one thing Mystique has taught her foster dad, it is that caring for and managing the blood sugar of an extra-sweet kitty is not as daunting as it seems! Are you the right home for the lovely Mystique?

Story
Microchipped, DOB March 23, 2023 Baked Bean is a very sweet, friendly and playful cat. He still has kitten energy and loves exploring the house and playing with his cat toys. He loves people and is always by your side as you go about your day. His favourite napping spot is on your lap and his favourite thing is getting attention from his favourite humans. Baked Bean can sometime nip during play when he gets overexcited but he is already learning to have more control and has made incredible progress. He is a wonderful ball of energy and a great, friendly presence to have around the house and anyone would be lucky make him the latest addition to their family! Baked Bean has a genetic skin condition called Ehlers Danlos syndrome. This conditions causes his skin to be extra stretchy and sensitive to bites, licks and scratches. Because of this, Baked Bean has to be dressed in a onesie and fitted with a cone at all times - without these, he is in danger of hurting himself by breaking open his skin and creating wounds. There is unfortunately no cure but the condition can be managed with vigilance and the clothes/cone. It is also recommended that he live in a single pet household as another pet can accidentally hurt him during play and that any cat play dates be supervised closely. He is still extremely playful and does not mind wearing the cone and onesie! Thank you for welcoming a special needs cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $200.

Story
Microchipped, DOB: Dec 28, 2017 Mookie embodies the essence of a true gentleman who prefers subtle interactions and peaceful coexistence with his humans. He exudes a calm and sophisticated vibe, making him an excellent companion for those who appreciate a laid-back pet. Mookie’s refined exterior hides a few delightfully quirky traits that make him all the more charming. When he’s lounging on the couch next to you, he’ll subtly rest his paw on your leg, as if to say, "I'm here, but I'm also low-key claiming this spot as mine." It's a gesture that speaks volumes about his understated confidence and his knack for making his presence known without being pushy. Mookie has been in foster care for a year and is ready to settle into a place to call his own. Although he hasn't found his perfect match yet, one thing is certain, his resilience and enduring spirit ALWAYS shine through. Mookie does require some special care due to skin issues. He has a hypoallergenic prescription diet as well as medication. While this could seem overwhelming, Mookie's easygoing nature makes the process completely manageable. His medication is given to him directly into his mouth and he’s very calm about it, making the process less stressful for both him and his humans. Mookie is truly a loving and affectionate companion who can’t wait to bring joy and companionship to his forever home.
