Story
Blizzard is searching for a serene home where he can feel safe and secure. He’s not one for a lot of commotion, preferring peaceful corners and cozy spots where he can observe the world at his own pace. Blizzard is bonded with Breeze and these two gentle souls would love to find a loving home together! ***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
Hi my name is Jazz. Now that my kittens are adopted, I’ve turned into a very loving young girl. My favourite place to be is wherever my humans are. I’m quite vocal and will let you know when I need attention! My crazy time is early evening. I’m very playful and love to chase my squeaky mouse and soft ball. You’ll find I have soft satin like fur, and love to have my tummy and chin rubbed. You will know I’m happy and content by my purr, as it sounds like a little engine! I would love to be your buddy!***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
My name is Sarge. Don`t let my name or grumpy look fool you, while I may have a gruff exterior , I am a big teddy bear who would be putty in your hands. I grew up on the streets and liked to get in fights and because of that I have something called FIV, but don`t let that scare you, you cannot catch it from me. I`ve realized life is much better off the street and would love to have a nice warm bed or couch or even your lap to snuggle into. I will need a home with no other cats due to my condition, and because I was a fighter, I am a bit of a loner, so would prefer to be your only fur friend. My friends here at the shelter have shown me love and I start purring as soon as they open my kennel and want to jump into their arms for some lovin`. I do like to give some love nibbles when you are petting me, so I would likely do best in a home with big hands, not little bitty ones that taste yummy. If you think you can handle a big strapping love bug like me, please send in your application. I can`t wait to meet you!~ While in our care Sarge did test positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) ~**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
Meet Dale, a young feline brimming with life and love. His sweet nature is infectious, spreading warmth and joy to everyone he encounters. Dale has a friendly demeanor, always ready to make a new friend or share a purr. He`s a cuddly companion, a soft, soothing presence that can comfort even on the toughest days. Playfulness is a key part of Dale`s charm, his curious and mellow personality making every day an adventure. His foster mom says: `Sweet Dale is a quirky boy, who loves to lick and is always on the go! He loves his `mousey` on the end of a stick wand, and recently enjoys chasing balls with bells in them and plastic spring toys around the house. Dale makes an adorable raccoon noise rather than a traditional cat meow. Morning seems to be his favourite time for snuggles and if he can find a ray of sun to doze in, he is content and will nod off to sleep. ***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
Hi my name is Onyx! I am a sweet boy that needs time before warming up to new people. I would love to find myself a quiet home of all adults to call my own. When I get comfortable with people I love to get lots of chin and head scratches and will even purr super loud to let you know just how happy I am. I love my temptations treats and will try to lick all the crumbs off your fingers after I have eaten them all. I am hoping to find a person to call my own that wouldn`t mind a cat that is more independent as I tend to want to do my own thing most of the day. Please if that person is out there, bring me home and show me what true love and lots of treats is like.**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
These siblings were born approximately June 2/21. Chloe and Colby are very sweet kittens. They were rescued from an outdoor situation where they were probably born to an outdoor stray and the resident who found them called for some help to rescue them. They are still very shy of people in their foster home but will enjoy pets while eating. It may take some time for their new family to gain their trust but we feel in time they will settle down. They will come and eat close to the humans and they do enjoy the company of the resident cat. They are getting used to the dog slowly. They will definitely need a patient home most likely a quiet home would be best for these two. Please apply if interested in this pair. They would probably love a quiet home with another calm cat to show them the ropes. Chloe and Colby is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Story
This sweet, 3-year-old, former momma is very inquisitive and sweet. We’re confident that this sweet girl was previously a house cat, but we think may have had some unfortunate experiences with people in the past. She may take time to adjust to meeting her new family, but once she does, she loves attention. She is very inquisitive about life, and loves watching TV! She is great with other cats as she has offered no issues with her foster’s three cats. She will make an amazing companion to an ideally slower household, or potentially a family, who is understanding of her body language and accepts that she may need time to fully trust them. Her foster is happy to teach Shiloh’s new family her body language cues to set everyone up for success.. Shiloh is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Story
Dahlia is the mama of the four kittens. She is approximately 1 to 2 years old. She came terrified, unsure how to behave around people but that changed when she learned she was getting the help she needed and her sweet personality bloomed. She has a lovely voice ranging from soft meows, chirps, and trills to let you know she is very happy. Dahlia yearns for attention and loves to weave around your legs, asking for pets on her head and along her back. She is most content when all four feet are on a solid surface. Although Dahlia is not fond of being held or snuggled, she may come to accept in the future that these things are nice too! Dahlia is very good at using her litter box! In fact, she does such a good job at covering her mess that it is recommended that she have a large or covered litter box as she tends to kick litter further than she needs to. Dahlia usually minds her own business and is happy to sleep in a quiet corner away from other pets, so should there be other pets in her new home, they should be introduced slowly and with absolute patience. Dahlia’s kittens are also available for adoption: Teddy, Linus, Percy, and Molly. Each kitten is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Story
Milo is a 5 month old tabby (as of August 8) who loves to cuddle and is generally pretty chill. He mostly wants to spend time with his human, and will go berserk for string toys. Millie is a 4 month old tabby (as of August 8) with a white nose, and she's cute as a button. She likes to stalk and pounce on her friend Milo and explore any and all surfaces. We would like this pair to be adopted together if possible. We will look for best match. Each kitten is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. Story
This is Junie. She is a young (about 18 months) friendly cat. She is black and white marking on her face that look like little tear drops and a white ring around her black tail. She was found pregnant, living in the backyard of a friend of the rescue. She had 4 beautiful kittens (including Juno and Skye). She was a very good mom and now it’s her turn to find a loving home. She is very friendly and loves to play. She is still a kitten at heart. She gets along with her foster siblings but tends to prefer the company of the boys. She would be happiest in a home with another cat and lots of people to give her the attention she deserves. Junie is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application.
