Story
Gloria and Greyson (two grey and white kittens) Hermione and Lucas (calico and black kittens) These dynamic brother/sister duos are such a powerhouse of energy, but at the same time, are so cuddly, sweet and loving! Both are very curious, which is another way of saying that they are into everything all the time! They run, climb, and bounce off the walls, but when you sit with them, they are just little purring motors! They came into our foster home and just bring such a positive, loving and fun-loving vibe with them! They will do well in a forever home that realizes how much energy they have right now, and how much trouble they will get into! They will benefit from a home where they can safely run, explore, climb and tackle each other! They will continue to do well with their humans throwing cat balls with bells, swishing feather toys around, and providing cat climbers and scratchers, which they require so as to try to redirect them from scratching other things around the house. That being said, they are still kittens and will try to get into everything else! They will need regular nail trims. For all the energy they have, they will also need their favourite plush cat beds, along with brushing, cuddles, and lots of love from their humans. In our foster home, they have had the experience of living with 2 very calm and kind human kids, and they do very well. They have had the experience of meeting a resident adult cat, and they did a good job there, too. So far, they have not met a dog. We think because of their happy, sweet nature, they would do ok in a home that had a dog, as long as they were introduced very gradually, and as long as the dog is calm and gentle with cats. If you think these lovely kittens might be a good fit for your family, please fill out an application online at compassionforpaws.ca Thanks!

Story
Presenting Gloria and Hermione Gloria and Hermione are two beautiful, kind and funny sisters who are a joy to live with! They came to our foster home at the beginning of last summer and we love them! They were spayed in our care, and they had a bout of ringworm that they have recovered from. They are very curious, which is another way of saying that they are into everything all the time! They run, climb, and bounce, but when you sit with them they are just little purring motors! Gloria is a cautious little one who is so, SO curious. With a quiet home, she builds her trust and loves to be petted. She is not one for laps, but she does run and play when she’s comfy with her surroundings. Although they can rough house as siblings do, she loves her sister Hermione. Hermione is an outgoing, gregarious sister who is full of energy and curiosity. She is literally bright eyed and bushy tailed! She confidently explores and seeks out her human family as soon as she feels settled in a new home! She is a great sister for Gloria because she shows her how to explore and trust! The perfect home for them is an experienced cat home that can adapt and love both shy and outgoing cats! They should have a home that can start them in a quiet space and allow them to build up their confidence. They have been used to older children who are very respectful of their needs and personalities. It will be very hard to say goodbye to these special girls, but we are very glad we helped them when they needed rescue, and we are thrilled that they can find the perfect forever home. Story
Presenting Grayson and Lucas! These two adorable, fun-loving and handsome brothers are the best boys! They came to our foster home at the beginning of last summer. We fell in love with them, and they are a pleasure to live with! They both recovered from neuter well, and both overcame a bout with ringworm. Grayson is the outgoing, rough and tumble rascal of the pair! He is very smart and loves both cuddles and playing. He loves attention and will even try to open door knobs to get to his humans. He will rough house with his brother Lucas to the point where we’re exhausted just watching them! Aside from his energetic nature, Grayson is actually very loving and so sweet. He definitely is a good brother in that he shows Lucas the ropes. Lucas is slower to approach his humans, but once we does, he gives little kisses and often likes to “clean our hair” by tapping his paw on our heads. If we are sitting on the floor with him, he will come over, stretch up to reach our faces and give our face a gentle pet with his paw! He is a very inquisitive and smart guy. He is more quiet than Grayson, but he really looks to his brother. These really lovely boys will be greatly missed in our home. We wish we could keep them forever, but we are glad we could help them when they were in need. Their perfect forever home would be one that is experienced, kind, calm and very attentive. They are used to two older children who are very respectful of their needs and shower them with love, but also with quiet space when needed. Apply online at compassionforpaws.ca

Story
Hello, I'm Emmett.💚🐾 I'm a kitten full of love, a little shy, but oh so sweet. I may be gentle and mellow, but don't let that fool you, I'm quite the playful rascal too. My journey here is quite a magical tale. One day, I was exploring a mystical garden, chasing butterflies, when I stumbled upon a secret portal. Curiosity piqued, I stepped through and found myself here, in this warm, loving shelter. I think it was fate. Now, I'm waiting for the next chapter of my magical journey. Maybe, just maybe, that chapter includes you. If you're looking for a funny, friendly, and affectionate companion, then I might just be your perfect match.I am going home on our Foster to adopt program! This means I would go home the same day as our meet and greet but need to be returned on certain dates vaccines and to be neuter - Date to be determined. We do ask that my forever family lives local to the center (within an hour) so I can make these very important date!I don't need much, just a loving home. Story
Grayden was a stray on a farm and is nervous of people, although he is allowing the staff to pet him now. He likes to hide in a safe place. He is a shy cat that needs time to get comfortable with people. Because of his outdoor life and probable fights with other male cats, he has tested positive for the FIV virus. Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus (FIV) is a disease that only affects cats and cannot be transmitted to humans or other animals. Grayden has been with us since January 2021.If you would like to make an appointment to meet him, please contact the shelter for an appointment at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com

Story
This is Clarke! He is timid in new situations and would be best as the only animal in the house to start with. No other cats. He will come out of his shell with lots of one on one contact, brushes and affection. Clarke has been tested positive for F.I.V but still has a lot of potential to grow. The shelter is just a little too much for him so he stays in hiding, and he is very good at finding places to hide. He is actually the top hide and seek champion, but the staff always take time out of their day to find him and let him know things will be okay. Clarke has been with us since September 17, 2021. Please contact the shelter at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com if you would like to know more about Clarke. The staff would be more than happy to talk with you about him.

Story
Mark was found in a barn where he didn`t get along with the other cats. He has been at UCHS since November 2022. Mark did test positive for FIV but as with other FIV cats, he could live a long and healthy life. Good food, regular veterinary check ups and an indoor life will keep him healthy. Mark is a `shadow cat` as he needs to become accustomed to being indoors and not be afraid anymore. This could take some time but if someone had the time and patience to give him a chance, we hope he would come out of his shell eventually. If you are interested in meeting Mark, please contact the shelter for an appointment at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com

Story
Lucy came from a colony where many cats were living an indoor/outdoor life at a roofing company. She was trapped, spayed and medically treated before being released back to the colony. Unfortunately, the company where they were living closed and there was no longer anyone to feed them and no way for them to get out of the elements. Lucy was brought to us March 21, 2023 in hopes that someone would give her the opportunity to find a home. She is a very shy cat who will need space and time and of course, patience. Lucy may never be the cuddly cat and may even be just one of those `from a distance` shadow cats but it would be a shame not to give her a chance. Many times these less friendly cats do come around to understand and appreciate a loving home.If you are interested in meeting Lucy, please contact the shelter for an appointment at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com
