Story
11 Year old Eve is ready and raring to go home with you - Downright bubbly, full of excitement, and oh so very friendly, it's easy to fall totally in love with this pretty kitty as soon as you meet her! Eve is social and always up for a hang out or cuddle session, she's at her happiest when you're nearby to keep her company. Whether she's lounging in her own bed or laying against your side, she purrs up a storm the entire time you're together. Pleasantly talkative, Eve likes to speak her mind and hear what you have to say in return. She loves to hear about your day, how pretty she is, how soon dinner is coming... She's a fantastic conversationalist and likes to make sure that your day is always filled with her musical meows. Eve is a snuggler at heart, she really thrives on the closeness of her humans. Kiss her head or brush out her gorgeous grey fur, and Eve will be totally over the moon. She always appreciates a good spa day, so don't be shy about pampering her every chance you get. Eve absolutely loves children, and is incredibly gentle with them. She has the perfect patient attitude that helps her get along with littles ones. Eve is looking for a forever home with no other cats. Something to know about me: Eve is a diabetic kitty, but that doesn't make her any less perfect! Thankfully Eve is very easy to take care of and does not require insulin as she is diabetic remission, her blood sugar is kept stable thanks to her diabetic-friendly diet.

Story
Three year old Oreo is looking for a forever family! Do you have room in your home and heart to welcome this wonderful, flirtatious tuxedo into your world? Let us tell you a little more about how we met this this young lass: Oreo became a member of the Furry Friends Family after being rescued from a very hectic situation. She was one of many unfixed male and female cats living together under one roof, which resulted in Oreo carrying litter after litter of kittens. Unfortunately, very few of Oreo's precious babies survived this ordeal, and she became more distraught as time went on until her family decided that they could no longer keep her. Oreo has been spending time in a dedicated foster home healing and growing from her past. She's made so much progress! With her incredibly affectionate attitude, Oreo isn't afraid to demand attention when she wants to be pampered, but she's also content to hang out on her own when she needs a little 'me time'. If you're looking for a confident kitty who knows what she wants and when she wants it, Oreo is your golden ticket. Oreo is total foodie, meal time is the best time of the day if you ask her. She would do pretty much anything for seconds or treats, which means that food is also a great way to win Oreo's heart when you're first getting to know her. Throughout the day, you'll definitely get to see Oreo panoodling around the house, enjoying a few of her absolute favourite things: Climbing her cat towers, zooming around after a plastic spring, or laying flat out in front of your feet to encourage you to give her a massage! Oreo is great at communicating, so she will come right to you when she's ready for some TLC. Something to know about Oreo is that, after all of the terrible loss and struggle she has endured in her short life, she can get overstimulated if too much is going on and her 'Okay, I need to take a breather' signals are ignored. Oreo loves peaceful days and your warm company, she loves to lay on the edge of the bathtub with you and she will languidly relax nearby as you kick your feet up on the couch. But sometimes Oreo needs to retreat and have some quiet time to herself, and if you try to ignore her needs by persisting to follow her, she will bite to say 'I really need some space right now'. Oreo is not mean, she is not aggressive, and she is not 'bad'. She is simply a kitty who has overcome some seriously traumatic times, and she needs a human who is going to understand and love her through it all. Maybe you're exactly who she's been waiting for! Oreo is looking for a home with no other cats, no dogs, and no children.

Story
If calm kitties are your cup of tea, five year old Phoebe would love to spend her days relaxing by your side! Sweet as peaches and oh so lovely, Phoebe is the kind of kitty who loves to spend slow afternoons purring in the company of her human friends. More than content to go with the flow, Phoebe doesn’t ask for much, and she’s not one to fuss - You won’t find her climbing your curtains or knocking everything over, she just wants to ride this lazy river of life with you! Phoebe greatly enjoys being spoiled with attention, she loves to have her gorgeous fur pet (she’s almost a rich chocolate brown when the sun shines on her just right), and she’s always ready to listen to whatever is on your mind. Strike up a conversation with Phoebe, and watch her close her eyes in joy as she takes in your every word. Easy-going and always looking for new friends, Phoebe is a loyal companion once she settles in with you. All she needs is a bit of time to get over her first-meeting nerves, and you’ll have a pal for life with Phoebe around.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.WOOL is part of the Natural Fabrics Litter and hails from Trout Lake in Northern Ontario. He came down south with his 3 siblings (Cotton, Linen and Silk) to find his loving family. He’s neutered, had 2 sets of vaccines including rabies, a microchip and been deemed a healthy boy by the vet. This little guy is probably one of the most loving ones his foster has ever known. He loves to cuddle up with you and turn into a purring machine. He’s very much an active little one  who loves to run around with the foster puppies and other kittens in the home. Chasing the cat toys including the crinkle ones across the floor is one of his favourite things to do. He’s fearless and nothing seems to faze him as he’ll go at it full force like with something new he discovers laying on the floor.  WOOL is litter box trained and started using it as soon as he came into his foster home. Besides being fearless he’s also playful, super sweet and  oh so loving. He loves sleeping in a high sided cat bed and will snuggle with his siblings in it for his naps. He does great with the resident cat so would suit a home with another one. Saying that, he would also suit being an only child as long as he’s not left alone all day. He would also suit being with a dog as long as it’s cat savvy and accepting of cats in its space. We recommend a slow monitored introduction while the dog is leashed to ensure the safety of the kitten. Children need to be 6 plus and be kind, caring and loving towards animals.  If you would like to meet WOOL then please submit an adoption application to meet him.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 28, 2024, 8:27 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.BOBBIN was found dumped in a field along with his siblings (Thimble, Buttons and Zipper) and is now looking for his forever family. He’s had his first vaccine, a microchip, several doses of dewormer and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and it’s booked for January 28th and his adopter must be available to bring him to the clinic in Barrie for it. He’s an adventurous, fun loving little guy who loves his humans and can always be found snuggling with one or the other of them. He’ll run around and play with the other kitties in the home and also chase the cat toys across the floor especially those crinkly ones. He also enjoys lounging in the cat tree and will take the odd nap in it too.  BOBBIN is litter box trained and has used it since first coming into rescue. As much as this little guy is an adventurous one he’s also a loving purr machine and you only have to hold him him to set those purrs off. He can be quite vocal if he figures he’s being ignored as he does love to get attention. He’s often found in a sunny spot soaking up the sun while lounging on one of his many cat beds. He’s fostered with a puppy who loves to chase the kittens but he’s very gentle with them. We feel he’ll do well with a cat savvy dog as long as a slow, monitored introduction is made and the dog should be leashed at that time too. He would do well with another feline companion and one who’s pretty energetic and would be open to dealing with his kitten antics. Children should be age 6 plus and be loving, caring and gentle towards animals.  If BOBBIN sounds like the guy for you then please put in an adoption application to meet him. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 10, 2024, 12:26 am
