Story
Carp and Marlin (6 months) came to the rescue after being dumped outside as one month old kittens. They were very sick to the point they couldn’t open their eyes. A very nice person snagged their whole litter up and brought them home and got them on medication. Since these girls were babies, they’ve been absolute love bugs. They love to run right up to you and rub all over you. The absolute most special thing about both of these girls is they wag their tails like dogs when they’re happy or playing. It’s ridiculously precious. While they wag their tails they squint their eyes and start to roll on their sides to invite you in for some pets. Both Marlin and Carp will follow you all around the house. They also love to climb cat trees to the tippy top and take naps together. Marlin and carp are huge bedbugs. They will fall asleep with you every night and greet you when you wake up every morning. Both girls love to snuggle on the couch while you settle down and watch tv! Carp and Marlin have been socialized with cats, rabbits, and dogs. We think they’d do well in an assortment of homes but super young kids might be a lot for them. Both Carp and Marlin have received full vet work ups and are ready to go to their new forever home! Story
Quill is looking for his new best friend! Quill came to the rescue at a very young age and is now 9.5 months old. His whole litter was adopted out, but he stuck behind. He wasn’t advertised for a while, while in foster but is now ready for his new forever home! Quill loves people. He will do just about anything for your attention. He loves to climb on your lap and rub all over your face, he rolls on his back waiting for belly rubs, there’s really no escaping him. Quill needs a decently calm home. He very much loves other cats and would prefer to live with another cat who wants to be his friend. He can be a little timid around bigger dogs, but with proper introduction, there should be no issue. Quill would also do okay with older children who understand and respect his space and energy. He doesn’t enjoy being chased around, grabbed, unexpectedly picked up, a lot of things younger children haven’t learned yet. Two things Quill does not hesitate to obsess over are food, and play time! Wet food at least a few times a week is a MUST for Quill. He lives and breathes for it. He also goes absolutely bonkers over little jingly and stringy toys, but don’t even get him started on a spring… Quill has had a full vet work up and is ready to meet his new best friends. Introducing Tuna and Roe, two stunning black kittens with hearts as big as their playful personalities! Rescued from a tree with their siblings, this dynamic duo has blossomed into the best of friends, bringing joy and laughter wherever they go. Tuna (male) stands out with his adorable white spot on his chest and a charming independent streak. While he loves to join in on the fun, he also enjoys lounging back and observing the antics of his sister. Roe (female), affectionately nicknamed Mew-Mew for her sweet little mews, has a playful spirit that will steal your heart. She has a quirky game where she hides her mouse toys in shoes and dives in to find them—no shoes have been harmed in the process, we promise! Together, they love to romp around, chasing each other through the house, climbing cat trees, and playfully pouncing from behind furniture. They’re still very much kittens, so a cozy cat tree or some fun cat furniture would be ideal for their energetic playtime! While Roe can be a bit shy with new people, she also has a spunky side during playtime. Tuna, on the other hand, is bolder with strangers and slightly more laid-back in general, making them a perfect balance. Meet Simba and Kovu! They came to us from a bad case of 15 cats about to be left behind when their caretaker developed dementia. These boys are a bonded pair that are brothers! They are 1.5 years old. Simba (black) is a very loving and playful little guy full of life. He likes to be with his people (loves kids the most) and explores as much as he can. Kovu (grey) is a huge love bug! As much as you try to get done around him you’ll find him rolling around in front of you begging for belly rubs and head scratches. These boys are very confident around people and animals as they were adjusted to a lot of different scenarios from living outside their entire lives. Now though, they’re completely acclimated indoor couch potatoes. They want to spend the rest of their lives together and with a family to call their own. They will surely follow you everywhere you go and make sure you know you’re loved. Simba and Kovu have had a full vet work up and are ready to meet their new best friends. Meet Mimi! Meme is a roughly 10 month old little girl who came to the rescue from a bad case where 15 cats were going to be left behind as their caretaker had developed dementia and was going into assisted living. Mimi is a very friendly and loving little girl. She gets along with every person she meets. She has been around dogs, and of course many other cats. She also was raised around kids. She doesn’t mind any handling and will be happy to greet you as soon as you get home. She is quite vocal and very much a little love bug. Mimi has known a rough life so far, at around 6 months old she became pregnant and had only one kitten (Ziggi) who’s also in the rescue. He is her mini me. She gets along well with almost all other cats’ However, If your cat is a bully she will stand up to them. She won’t let anyone push her around. It’s recommended if you have other cats that you know their demeanor is gentle or passive as she is a very forward leading cat. Mimi is also very, very playful and loves to gallop around after any toy she can find. She also loves feather wands and spinning ball toys! Mimi will never skip a meal, especially if it involves wet food. Nothing makes her happier and this is quite an easy way to bond with her. Meet LionBlaze! Aka Blazer Boy! Blazer came to the rescue after trying to be trapped from our backyard over a span of 2.5 months. Finally we got him, had him fully vetted, and let him show us his personality! He is now roughly 10-11 months old and ready to go to his new forever home! Although LionBlaze is a very sweet boy, he does not appreciate much petting or handling. Everything is very much on his own terms and he really only occasionally lets you scratch his head. He very much enjoys the company of his other cats, he is their protector. He is also one heck of a hunter! For this reason we are seeking a very nice barn home for him! He could live in someone’s house, but not around any kids and with very slow introductions to dogs. Cats of course are also okay with slow introductions. He could be an indoor outdoor cat but if someone chooses to do this with him, they need to understand his boundaries on being handled. LionBlaze loves to play, hunt, and is extremely food motivated. He will be all over you for wet food and treat time. When you bring out a feather toy or even if he gets ahold of a leaf he’s sure to hunt it as much as he can. When you’re walking around he loves to pace the area with you and see what you’re up to next. He’s very intrigued by watching the birds and squirrels out of the window.
