Story
Ben is an exceptionally bright and affectionate cat who spends most of his time indoors but enjoys the occasional outdoor adventure. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he’s known for his constant purring, love of snuggling, and enthusiasm for being part of whatever you’re doing. He’ll gladly curl up with you at night, too. Ben has gone through significant loss—his owner recently passed away, as did the dog he lived with for many years—so he will need a patient home that can give him time to adjust. His experience with children is unknown, as his former owner was a retiree without young family members. Ben would do best in a home where he can safely explore outside from time to time and where neighbors won’t mind seeing him perched on a shed or car. He is litter-box trained, neutered, and current on vaccines, including a one-year rabies shot he received in August.

Story
Deeks loves a quiet afternoon in the sun. His coat is super silky, and he loves rubbing on your legs. He has been standoffish with kids and dogs, but eventually, will get curious and go over to investigate. He prefers to be admired and pet when he's in his happy mood, but can't resist a snuggle if you have a warm lap.

Story
2 year old male cat. He is skiddish at first and when people are walking around. But will come up to you when sitting down and when he wants. He is in a house with a dog they don't fight but he doesn't play with him. He is in a house with another male cat they get along good. Please consider adopting, my boyfriend and his kids are allergic to cats and the cats are living in my finished basement. He will come with a robot litter box, bed, crate and any food or litter leftover. Would love to see the other cat go with him. Also listed for adoption

Story
Meet April — A Gentle Heart in Search of Her Forever Home. April’s story is one of quiet transformation. When she first arrived at our sanctuary as a tiny springtime kitten, she was shy and uncertain, unsure of the world around her. But with time, love, and patience, this beautiful girl has blossomed into a sweet, tender companion — now she just needs the right home to complete her journey. April is a soft soul who thrives in the company of other calm, gentle cats. She absolutely adores snuggling with her feline friends, often curling up in a cozy pile for warmth, comfort, and companionship. She feels safest and happiest when she has a calm kitty companion by her side — and for that reason, we would love to see her adopted with a trusted shelter friend she already knows and loves. With people, April is shy at first — but once she trusts you, she enjoys gentle pets, quiet snuggles, and will reward your patience with soft purrs and affection. She isn’t a bold, outgoing cat, but she is incredibly loving in her own peaceful, steady way. Watching her bloom into a confident companion will be one of the most rewarding experiences for her future family. April’s Info: Born approximately 3/1/2024; Sleek black coat; Spayed; Up to date on vaccinations; Tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV; Flea-treated, dewormed, and healthy. April will do best in a calm home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace, surrounded by understanding people and maybe even a snuggly feline friend. She’s waited so patiently for someone to see the beauty and love she has to offer. Could that someone be you? Apply to meet April today: https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet Stretch Stretch is a striking white and gray short-haired boy, born around 8/1/24, with piercing blue eyes and a tall, lanky frame. At nearly 11 pounds, he’s already a big guy, though he’s still on the thin side after fending for himself on the streets. His fur is a little rough from his time outdoors, but with love, care, and stability, we know this handsome fellow will grow into the glorious kitty he was born to be. Despite what he’s been through, Stretch’s spirit is gentle. He is docile, loving, and kind—a sweet soul who just wants to belong. You can see in his eyes how ready he is to finally relax in a home of his own, where he’ll never have to wonder about safety, comfort, or love again. Stretch has been neutered, has tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV, received first 2 rounds of vaccinations (final due 9/13), has been treated for fleas & worms, and has a negative fecal test. Stretch is more than ready to trade the hardships of the past for a future full of snuggles, sunny windowsills, and family love. If you’d like to set up a meet and greet with this special boy, please fill out an adoption application today. catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application
