Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, I’m Mel! My foster mom likes to call me "MELt my heart" and I think she’s right. My story began in the woods, where I was found all alone, hungry and afraid. Thankfully, Roses Rescue volunteers scooped me up and brought me to safety. Now I’m in a foster home and I've learned what it means to feel loved! At first, I was shy and preferred to watch the other foster kittens play from my hiding spot. But with patience, lots of yummy pate, and gentle care, I really blossomed. I’ve learned that being petted and cuddled feels pretty wonderful, and that I can purr! These days, I even meow for my foster mom when I want treats or attention. She loves when I snuggle into her lap and she scratches my little ear tufts. I love other cats and would be so happy to have a feline friend in my new home. I’m also much braver than I used to be.  I may start out a little reserved, but once I feel safe, I’ll show you my sweet and playful side. If you’re ready to open your heart to a gentle guy who’s learning how wonderful love can be, I’m ready to MELt into your arms forever! Melvin's adoption fee of $100 includes  negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, feline leukemia, FVRCP, and Rabies vaccines, de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip. Melvin is about 8 months old and is being fostered in Stow, OH. For those viewing on Petfinder, please apply by clicking on More About Rose's Rescue - you may fill out adoption application from there. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Mr. Kiki! This big, handsome guy has had quite a journey. Mr. Kiki first came to us after his family, who adored him, could no longer care for him due to health challenges. They were heartbroken to say goodbye, but we promised to help find him a new home. After spending a few months in his foster home, Mr. Kiki was adopted - but when his new family also faced unexpected health issues, he once again returned to our care. He’s now back with his original foster family and ready to find his permanent, forever home. Mr. Kiki is social, chatty, and curious and loves being part of whatever his people are doing. He’s a loyal shadow, following you from room to room to keep you company. He just wants to be with his people, even when he’s not in the mood for pets - he'll watch you cook dinner or play a board game. Speaking of shadows, Mr. Kiki loves them! He is most active when hunting pesky shadows on the wall or floor. While Mr. Kiki isn’t overly energetic, he enjoys playing with his favorite toys. He would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a laid-back, loving companion. When it’s time to relax, he’s a warm, lazy lap cat and the perfect TV-watching buddy. Mr. Kiki was the only pet in both of his previous homes, but in foster care he’s shown curiosity about the other cats. It’s been fun watching him figure out how to “cat” with new friends. Mr. Kiki can be particular about how he’s picked up, so a home without small children will be the best fit. He hasn’t met dogs yet, but based on his mellow personality, we think he should adapt well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a loyal, talkative feline friend, Mr. Kiki is ready to fill your home with company and some conversation. Mr. Kiki is about 6-7 years old. His adoption fee is $50 to cover the costs of his vetting, which includes negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), updated vaccines, routine de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip. If you're the perfect family for Mr. Kiki, please visit www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Macadamia, affectionately known as Mama Mac is a sweet, gentle girl who was found in heartbreaking circumstances. She was locked in a dog crate with her kittens and abandoned on a hot summer day. Thankfully, a kindhearted neighbor rescued them, and now Macadamia is safe, healthy, and ready to find her forever home. Despite seeing the rougher side of what humans have to offer, Macadamia is so affectionate and loving. She loves attention and will happily curl up in your lap for snuggles or keep you company during movie nights. She is the definition of a lap cat and is mellow and happy to be spoiled indoors. At around 2-3 years old, Macadamia is the perfect mix of playful and laid back. She’s past the kitten chaos but still full of curiosity. Macadamia is thriving in her foster home, where she enjoys lounging in her favorite window seat and watching birds. She's great with kids and tolerates other cats. She would be happy as an only cat, or with a calm feline companion. She would prefer not to live with kittens - she has raised her own and is tired from all their energy! Macadamia she hasn't met dogs yet but is calm and friendly overall so we believe she would adjust well with proper introductions. Macadamia's adoption fee of $50 includes   negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), spay surgery, feline leukemia, FVRCP, and Rabies vaccines, de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name's Evie. I'm shy around people but love being around other cats. I like joining other cats to play, but I will play by myself. I'm not one for laps, but I'll definitely cuddle next to my humans. I'm also very treat-driven. My mother was run over, and a friendly stranger immediately rescued me to make sure I found a good home. Evie's adoption fee of $100 includes  negative test for her litter for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), spay surgery, feline leukemia, FVRCP, and Rabies vaccines,   de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip.    If she is adopted with her sister May, their adoption fee is $150. Please note: Evie and May are in our owner foster program, meaning they are not being cared for in one of Rose's Rescue's volunteer foster homes. Their owners are caring for the cats until they find a home, and the rescue is covering vetting expenses and helping to coordinate their adoptions.
