Story
Lynx is a young adult petite kitty who lost her home because her owner was too old to take care of her. She is beautiful and friendly and just wants to be back in a home. She is fully vetted including teste for FeLV and FIV, spayed, vaccinated, and free lifetime microchip. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Adoption fee: $250 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Brownie is a sweet kitten who is also very quiet and shy. She needs a loving home with an experienced and patient owner. I rescued her off of the streets with her mother and siblings. She loves sleeping, and playing with other kittens. She will need lots and lots of love and attention. I think she is around 6 months old. She eats 9 lives pate on occasion but mainly eats Purina One complete cat food. She is not fixed currently.

Story
Ember is a sweet girl who was adopted by former friends of ours from the Toledo Humane Society. They had other pets that she hid from in the teenage daughter's room. They brought home a kitten, and she reacted by eliminating outside of the litter box. At that point, despite signing an agreement to return her to the rescue, they put her out of the house. They live on a very busy street, so we took her in. She has been in a very small bedroom in our house with only three 3- hour intervals to roam the house. Our other cat is then confined so she can, which is stressful on him. We tried to integrate them, but she tried to attack him, which is why they are now permanently separated. When we took her to the vet, she was tested for FELV and FIV. The FIV came up positive. However, her vet assured us that she is in good health. She had been vomiting overnight due to the stress of being locked in until morning. But, she no longer vomits since changing how much we feed her and when.

Story
Name is Dick Clark but we call him The Boy. He is super sweet and cuddly and will always be your second shadow. We originally adopted him about a year ago, he's 1 year 4 months old and he has been great. Sadly due to stress he has been acting out to the point of aggressively. We have tried to reduce his stress levels with no luck. Hoping to find a better environment for him

Story
Found outside my daughter’s house on Halloween. She thinks her neighbor moved out and left him. We posted him trying to find his owner. We took him to Humane Ohio and had him neutered and vaccinated. He was treated for an abscess with antibiotics. We have also had him tested for Felv- that’s beg and FIV- that was positive. He can live a long normal life like any other cat. That is only spread through deep bite wounds. He needs to be tested again it could very easily be negative the next time. Chances are not but it does happen sometimes. He’s a very sweet loving boy that needs a good home. She can’t keep him because she has too many pets and I already have 10 cats myself.
