Story
Inky was originally found in Pataskala by a Good Samaritan who took him in during a cold spell because he was so friendly. He was adopted through our rescue almost a year ago and unfortunately was returned through no fault of his own, due to housing issues. Inky doesn't know a stranger, is instantly friendly and just wants to be near people. He is an affectionate boy, and would make a great pet for any age. He has excellent house manners:) He is about 1 1/2 years old, and a big boy at almost 10 pounds! Inky has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Kittens are spayed/neutered no later than 4 months of age or upon intake if older than that. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org. We make no breed guarantees, as we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific cat if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Wynona is shy at first -- she is extremely sweet when she is comfortable, but give her a few days and she will be ready for some human attention. She loves chin scratches and just to be near her human. She gets along with other non-dominant cats and will just mind her own business -- she does not do well with cats who will bully her. Wynona is quick to seek out human company when comfortable. While she does get along with other cats, proper acclimation is extremely important in the process of adjusting to a new home and other cats. Wynona has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Story
Sweet Figgy was found near Columbus, a friendly stray, and found her way to our rescue for help finding a forever home. She is a torbie girl (tabby+some orange coloring) and just a little shy at first but definitely warms up quickly once comfortable -- she is the ultimate lap cat, all purrs and sweetness. Loves nothing more than a lap and some love:) She has been around other cats and dogs without issue but acclimation is always recommended for long term homes. She is playful and fun, and can't wait to have a home of her own! She is estimated to be 1-2 years old, and has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.
