Story
Meet April — A Gentle Heart in Search of Her Forever Home. April’s story is one of quiet transformation. When she first arrived at our sanctuary as a tiny springtime kitten, she was shy and uncertain, unsure of the world around her. But with time, love, and patience, this beautiful girl has blossomed into a sweet, tender companion — now she just needs the right home to complete her journey. April is a soft soul who thrives in the company of other calm, gentle cats. She absolutely adores snuggling with her feline friends, often curling up in a cozy pile for warmth, comfort, and companionship. She feels safest and happiest when she has a calm kitty companion by her side — and for that reason, we would love to see her adopted with a trusted shelter friend she already knows and loves. With people, April is shy at first — but once she trusts you, she enjoys gentle pets, quiet snuggles, and will reward your patience with soft purrs and affection. She isn’t a bold, outgoing cat, but she is incredibly loving in her own peaceful, steady way. Watching her bloom into a confident companion will be one of the most rewarding experiences for her future family. April’s Info: Born approximately 3/1/2024; Sleek black coat; Spayed; Up to date on vaccinations; Tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV; Flea-treated, dewormed, and healthy. April will do best in a calm home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace, surrounded by understanding people and maybe even a snuggly feline friend. She’s waited so patiently for someone to see the beauty and love she has to offer. Could that someone be you? Apply to meet April today: https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet Stretch Stretch is a striking white and gray short-haired boy, born around 8/1/24, with piercing blue eyes and a tall, lanky frame. At nearly 11 pounds, he’s already a big guy, though he’s still on the thin side after fending for himself on the streets. His fur is a little rough from his time outdoors, but with love, care, and stability, we know this handsome fellow will grow into the glorious kitty he was born to be. Despite what he’s been through, Stretch’s spirit is gentle. He is docile, loving, and kind—a sweet soul who just wants to belong. You can see in his eyes how ready he is to finally relax in a home of his own, where he’ll never have to wonder about safety, comfort, or love again. Stretch has been neutered, has tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV, received first 2 rounds of vaccinations (final due 9/13), has been treated for fleas & worms, and has a negative fecal test. Stretch is more than ready to trade the hardships of the past for a future full of snuggles, sunny windowsills, and family love. If you’d like to set up a meet and greet with this special boy, please fill out an adoption application today. catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
Sisters! There were never such devoted sisters! How appropriate that we are headed toward a White Christmas, and we have a pair of sisters who "stick together" in "all kinds of weather"; we know they will stick with you, too! Fior is part of a pair of beautiful sisters, born in August, who are ready to find their forever homes. Both of these girls are over 3 1/2 pounds, so if your lap needs some warming during this chilly winter, I know who can help you with that! Their beautiful and unique markings make them stand out from the crowd, and their sassy attitudes (Fior is definitely a spitfire!), means that there is never a dull moment with these two! Our gorgeous grey girls have also: -Tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV; -Received their first vaccinations; -Been treated for fleas and worms; and -Had a negative fecal test. The balance of their vaccinations and spay is included in our adoption plan. Does your home need a beautiful kitty to make it complete? How about two? Story
Meet Bolognese! Bolognese is a female, short hair grey tiger with an estimated DOB of 5/8/2021. Bolognese and her sister Pesto have been with us about a year and a half. These sweet girls started off a little on the shy side which is probably the only reason some lucky family hasn't snatched them up already. They may need a little time to settle into new surroundings, but these girls would most certainly bring joy to a new family. Both of these ladies love the laser pointer and would do just about anything for their Temptation Puree treats! Sister Marinara has already found her forever home, now it's time for her sisters to do the same. Both sisters are spayed, tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, fully vaccinated, wormed, fecal tested negative, flea prevention. If you think your home might be right for Bolognese, Pesto, or maybe both please fill out an application today! Https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/application

Story
Hermy was reported to the Humane Society in need of medical care by a package delivery driver. He had a gash in his side (looks like he might have been hiding in a car motor to stay warm and the fan blade got his side). He was given a round of antibiotics and his side was already on the way to healing. It is granulating (filling in from inside out) and he is going to be neutered the week of 12/16/2025. We feel that his injury will eventually fill in with hair. And, he is ready to meet his understanding family who wants a wonderful personality playful kitten. https://www.ashlandhumane.org/adoption-application Please fill out application Adoption fee is $100. Neutered, microchipped first kitten vaccines wormed tested neg for kitty diseases Rabies for any animal 12 weeks or older

Meet Kay – A Playful, Loving Girl Looking for Her Forever Home! Kay is a beautiful short-haired Torti who has been with us for almost three years, often overlooked for younger kittens or more outgoing cats. Story
It may feel like winter outside, but your home can be as warm as summer inside, especially when you invite in brother and sister June and August! You know the snow and colder weather are coming- you should get ready now; not by insulating your windows, but by bringing home a summer kitten to keep your lap toasty and your heart warm! August, our grey tiger, is active and rambunctious, and ready to play. He's also a kitten, so he'll be ready to nap soon after! At just over 3 pounds, August is a big ol' pile of warm love. This duo was born in the middle of July, and are happy to share their sunny dispositions with you! Both of these summer lovers have also: -Tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV; -Received their first vaccinations; -Been treated for fleas and worms; and -Had a negative fecal test. The balance of their vaccinations and spay/neuter is included in our adoption plan. Is your idea of a perfect day spent with a kitty keeping your lap warm? Or maybe two, as winter comes closer?
