Story
Carp and Marlin’s adoption fee has been sponsored by Stevie Peterson, she is practically a family member of the rescue. We made the decision to lower our adoption fees for a “Home for the Holidays” special. We wanted to see as many of our animals in their new furrever home with their family, and out of foster care. A few of our supporters came forward and sponsored as many kitties as they could! Stevie is so happy to see any animal she meets, and works every day with many animals who have social issues. She has a special ability to make them as comfortable as they could be and they all adore her. Even in her home life, Stevie cares for animals many people wouldn’t be able to, and does it effortlessly. Never thought you wanted bed bugs? Trust us on this one and let these babies come take over your home! Carp and Marlin (7.5 months) came to the rescue after being dumped outside as one month old kittens. They were very sick to the point they couldn’t open their eyes. A very nice person snagged their whole litter up and brought them home and got them on medication. Since these girls were babies, they’ve been absolute love bugs. They love to run right up to you and rub all over you. The absolute most special thing about both of these girls is they wag their tails like dogs when they’re happy or playing. It’s ridiculously precious. While they wag their tails they squint their eyes and start to roll on their sides to invite you in for some pets. Both Marlin and Carp will follow you all around the house. They also love to climb cat trees to the tippy top and take naps together. Marlin and Carp will fall asleep with you every night and greet you when you wake up every morning. Both girls love to snuggle on the couch while you settle down and watch tv! Every time you sit on the couch or go to bed, they're sure to be right there with you. Carp and Marlin have been socialized with cats, rabbits, and dogs. We think they’d do well in an assortment of homes but super young kids might be a lot for them. Both Carp and Marlin have received full vet work ups and are ready to go to their new forever home! If you’re interested in adopting Carp and Marlin submit an inquiry here, or submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com and we’ll be in touch shortly!

Story
Tuna and Roe’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a huge supporter of our work, Ashley Proudfoot. We made the decision to lower our adoption fees for a “Home for the Holidays” special. We wanted to see as many of our animals in their new furrever home with their family, and out of foster care. A few of our supporters came forward and sponsored as many kitties as they could! Ashley is known to be such a gentle and avid animal lover. She helps any animal she can and only wants to see them thrive. Her gentle nature brings so much comfort to animals. When she initially met Tuna he was such a shy little man, but she made him feel as comfortable as possible and he immediately came out of his shell with her. She truly is a shining light in the animal community. This holiday season don't miss out on the ultimate deal — two stunning, sleek black cats who are ready to be your next furry best friends! Meet Tuna and Roe – two playful, sweet black kittens ready to become your new best friends! Rescued from a tree with their siblings, these bonded siblings bring endless joy and energy to any home. Tuna (male): Independent, with a charming white chest spot and a relaxed vibe. Roe (female): Playful and affectionate, with a cute “Mew-Mew” meow and a spunky side. Together, they love to chase, climb, and cuddle. They’re still kitten-sized bundles of energy, so a cat tree or fun furniture is a must! Tuna is more outgoing, while Roe takes time to warm up to new faces but is full of spunk once she does. Both adore each other, their foster parents, and even get along with other pets! No Price Tags on Love: There's no better "deal" than unconditional love, and our black cats are ready to offer it! Find more pictures and videos of Tuna and Roe on their foster mom's foster cat instagram: @felinegoldmine (Laura Stephens) If you're interested in adopting these kitties, submit an inquiry here, or submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com and someone will be in touch shortly!

She has a special ability to make them as comfortable as they could be and they all adore her. Even in her home life, Stevie cares for animals many people wouldn’t be able to, and does it effortlessly. Meet Simba and Kovu! They came to us from a bad case of 15 cats about to be left behind when their caretaker developed dementia. These boys are a bonded pair that are brothers! They are 1.5 years old. Simba (black) is a very loving and playful little guy full of life. He likes to be with his people (loves kids the most) and explores as much as he can. Kovu (grey) is a huge love bug! As much as you try to get done around him you’ll find him rolling around in front of you begging for belly rubs and head scratches. These boys are very confident around people and animals as they were adjusted to a lot of different scenarios from living outside their entire lives. Now though, they’re completely acclimated indoor couch potatoes. They want to spend the rest of their lives together and with a family to call their own. Because they were raised around young children, they have a very calm and gentle demeanor. You can pick both up very easily and they'll sit in your arms. When you rub their bellies they very softly kick and play but don't get as rough as other cats will (playfully). They know to keep their nails in and only place their teeth on you and not nibble. They will surely follow you everywhere you go and make sure you know you’re loved. Simba and Kovu have had a full vet work up and are ready to meet their new best friends. If you’re interested, submit an inquiry here, or submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com and someone will be in touch shortly!

She has a special ability to make them as comfortable as they could be and they all adore her. Even in her home life, Stevie cares for animals many people wouldn’t be able to, and does it effortlessly. Meet LionBlaze! Aka Blazer Boy! Blazer came to the rescue after trying to be trapped from our backyard over a span of 2.5 months. Finally we got him, had him fully vetted, and let him show us his personality! He is now roughly 10-11 months old and ready to go to his new forever home! Although LionBlaze is a very sweet boy, he does not appreciate much petting or handling. Everything is very much on his own terms and he really only occasionally lets you scratch his head. He very much enjoys the company of his other cats, he is their protector. He is also one heck of a hunter! For this reason we are seeking a very nice barn home for him! He could live in someone’s house, but not around any kids and with very slow introductions to dogs. Cats of course are also okay with slow introductions. He could be an indoor outdoor cat but if someone chooses to do this with him, they need to understand his boundaries on being handled. LionBlaze loves to play, hunt, and is extremely food motivated. He will be all over you for wet food and treat time. When you bring out a feather toy or even if he gets ahold of a leaf he’s sure to hunt it as much as he can. When you’re walking around he loves to pace the area with you and see what you’re up to next. He’s very intrigued by watching the birds and squirrels out of the window. He would be one heck of a mouser! If you’re interested in LionBlaze please submit an inquiry here, or submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com and someone will be in touch shortly!

Ziggi’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a wonderful supporter of the rescue, Katlin Sprowls. We made the decision to lower our adoption fees for a “Home for the Holidays” special. We wanted to see as many of our animals in their new furrever home with their family, and out of foster care. A few of our supporters came forward and sponsored as many kitties as they could! Katlin is an avid animal lover and would do anything to see any animal the happiest and healthiest it could be. From helping out strays, volunteering and donating, and working with animals as her career- nothing can dim her love for any and all furry friends. Meet Ziggi! Ziggi is all kitten all the time! He’s roughly 4 months old and came to us as one of the 15 cats being surrendered when their caretaker came down with dementia. Ziggi was the only kitten of his mom, Mimi. He is very friendly, very loving, and packed full of energy! He likes to zip zap zoom all around! He enjoys playing with any toys and climbing cat trees like a mad man! Ziggi also enjoys the company of other cats very much and would do well with a dog seeking a companion as well. We definitely recommend he goes to a home where there are other animals to keep him occupied and busy, or have him adopted out with one of his friends Mimi or Quill. Ziggi is extremely food motivated and as soon as you pull out the treats or open a can of wet food he is there to be the first to dig in. Ziggi will provide you with a lifetime of love and happiness! Snag this little boy up and give him the life he deserves! If you’re interested in Ziggi, submit an inquiry here, or submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com and someone will be in touch shortly!

Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Meet Matcha! Matcha is a special girl who needs a home she can reside in, and not necessarily receive attention. Matcha loves the companionship of other cats, but could give or take humans. She is not aggressive, just shy and not fond of human touch. She has a sensitive tummy and requires a gentle formula food (not prescription). She is about 1 year old. Her adoption fee is $125.   Paws and Prayers Cats are spay/neuter, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litterbox trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible.  Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions.    Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only. November 5, 2024, 10:55 am

Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Meet Stache! Stache is a dapper 3 year old domestic short hair. He is playful, energetic, and fun! When he first came to Paws and Prayers he was not a happy camper but once settled in, he’s blossomed into a sweet boy! He absolutely loves the company of other cats, and tends to take kittens under his wing and play with them all the time!  He does get overstimulated with play and petting with humans, so a home with no kids would be best. Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Alex can come off as a little bit of a sour patch kid at first, but will show you that she is really sweet as pie. She likes attention on her terms but let’s you know when she’s had enough. She gets along with other cats, but would be content in a home on her own. She is very petite and does the cutest squeaks. She is about 5-6 years old. She has a deformed eye but it has been checked by a vet and doesn’t bother her or cause issues, it just waters from time to time. Alex also seems a little hard of hearing but that does not effect her either. She is a great girl who’s ready to find a home! Her adoption fee is $125. The first step in our process  for any animal you are interested in, is to fill out an application. For more information not listed in the bio, please email Dee at Dee@PawsandPrayers.org* Santana is trying hard to learn to trust humans, and she is very watchful as she learns as much as she can about you before she makes her move. She has been with us about a year and a half now, and has made so much progress! We have found that at feeding time seems to be the best time to pet her and show her love. She enjoys affection, but she does not yet actively seek it out on her own unless she feels comfortable with you. She is looking for a special person that will offer her patience as she gets comfortable in her new environment. She loves the company of other cats, and would do best with a kitty companion in her new home.   She is about two 1/2 years old, litter box trained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, dewormed, and combo tested. Story
Marigold came to me in 2021 through my daughter, whose friend needed long-term hospitalization and was unable to keep her. She joined a household where I had adopted Hermione from a shelter 6 months earlier. At first she was a delight, just out of kittenhood. She and Hermione got along although she does have a tendency to want to be the dominant cat. For whatever reason, about 6 months after coming to my home Marigold started peeing on the furniture. I have tried to keep the litter boxes clean but am not always successful. I think part of the problem is that I previously had two miniature schnauzers that became incontinent in their later years, ruining a carpet and staining the floor underneath. I have two small granddaughters whom I would love to have visit but am reluctant to have over as long as I have to cover all the furniture with vinyl pads.

Story
I adopted Hermione during the pandemic to lessen the loneliness. She is a sweet, mild-mannered cat who seems shy but needing attention. She’s funny — she’ll come and sit on the floor beside me and meow to be petted, which she loves, but will not let me pick her up or cuddle. I don’t know whether she was abused by previous owners or if this is just her personality. After I acquired Marigold, who is also up for rehoming, she became the patsy to Marigold’s bullying tendencies. It’s never injurious but Marigold will at times just chase Hermione around the house. Then they stop and sometimes then take to grooming each other. She also pees on the pads I have covered my living room furniture with, which is why I need to rehome her. I hate to do it because I do love both my cats but I cannot have my small granddaughters visit as long as the cats are marking.
