Story
All the way from the island of Grenada, Marble came down with urinary crystals and needed prescription food. With Covid and supply chain issues, the owner was unable to obtain the food she needs. A chaperone was found and Marble flew to Charlotte, NC. A friend picked her up at the airport and we fetched her from there. She is now in Wilmington, NC and getting the food and treatment she needs. She will likely need to stay on her prescription diet the rest of her life. Other than this, she is a happy and healthy young lady. Marble is an unusually dark grey and white tuxedo. She is very friendly and chatty at times. She would do fine with children or a nice dog, but other cats make her very uncomfortable. She is affectionate and likes to sleep on a cat tree or the end of the bed. Marble needs a stress free home where she can get her prescription diet. Stress can be a big factor in causing another flare up. She enjoys lounging in the sun, so could be an indoor/outdoor cat in the right neighborhood, or a home with a screened in porch.  Applications will be considered for the Wilmington, NC area to those 21 or older. http://www.felinematchmakers.org ##1401046##

Story
Shannon was heavily pregnant when some people in Jacksonville, NC started feeding her. She had her kittens in a shelter they set up for her under thier car port. We took her in and she has done a great job with her kittens. She can be shy at first, but she really enjoys being an indoor cat and we suspect she was once before she got out and got pregnant. She is very young and has done great with her litter of 5 kittens. Shannon loves chin scratches and pets. She doesn't mind other kitties if they are nice to her. All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
Pretty Mulberry was a pregnant stray found in Castle Hayne, NC. When she came to us, she was heavily pregnant. Once safe in foster care, she had 4 kittens about a week later, then took in 2 orphans. She was such a good mama! She is sweet as can be and we suspect this may have been her first litter, but we know it's her last! She is very young and in great health. She is fine with dogs and we suspect she would do great with respectful children, as she has a very gentle nature. She appears to have angel wings, so we are not surprised! Mulberry has some minor allergies, but does require a limited ingredient food choice. We have allergy screened her and will provide her rusults along with a list of foods she can eat. All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
Hello,  Hi, I’m Blue Eyes, a 6 year old gorgeous tabby, if I do say so myself. Not only am I sweet and loving, but I get along with other cats and would be ok with dogs, with enough time and patience for introductions. I enjoy exploring my foster mom’s catio and laying in the warm sun looking for birds and squirrels from a safe distance. I like batting around small toys and scratching posts. More than anything else, I want a person of my very own! I eat Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health wet and dry food to prevent crystals. This is not prescription and does not cost that much more than regular Purina food, and you can buy it at any pet store, Chewy, Amazon and many grocery stores. *Please note: I do not attend most adoption events, so please contact All 4 Cats if you are interesting in adopting me, thank mew!     Read the description above to know the location of this cat. ve you ever seen a curly-haired orange cat?   My name is Shirley Temple and I am a sassy and classy girl who is very good about making her opinion known--I am quite vocal.  I always want to be around my people, getting attention, and getting cuddles and pets.  I like to sleep right night to you, and my purr can be heard from across the house.  I’m playful and will be a great constant companion for someone.  I’m a diva, but I do well around friendly cats with a proper introduction.  Send us a message to meet me in my foster home   Read the description above to know the location of this cat. Story
My husband and I have had Cole for about 4 years as an adult cat. We are unsure of his breed, but he is very large and is a “Hemingway” cat, which makes him very unique. He was also initially raised by a house full of German Shepards, and has a lot of positive dog-like personality traits. He currently lives in a house with two other cats and a large dog, and gets along great with our dog. He does not like one of the cats that is under our care and will try to attack him every time they are in eye sight of each other. So, long story short with that, gets along great with dogs, not necessarily with other cats. Due to his constant attacking of our other cat (though we keep them constantly separated to the best of our ability), it is clear that the environment we provide to him causes stress, which has caused urinary blockage issues. He is on a special prescription diet that he needs to be on for the rest of his life. He is very loving, friendly, and a fantastic cat when he is by himself

October 19, 2024  Scrappy is a beautiful, SWEET, adorable, big-eyed, BOY!!!  See his new photo standing on the food bin. Yardley is also friendly and purrs when you hold her! Watch Scrappy at FURR on Aug. 13, 2024 (copy/paste link into browser): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mrT905juwJY Watch Yardley at FURR on Aug. 13, 2024 (copy/paste link into browser): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/grSbo8QTAIk   July 24, 2024 Kristy, a FURR Volunteer, notified me about some cats living in a junk yard in Burgaw, NC, near Wilmington.  She met the man that owns it and took some food for the poor skinny cats. There is a mama cat, 2 male cats and 2 kittens. With Kristy’s help, we trapped the 2 kittens and took them to the Cape Fear S/N clinic last week.  My intention was to get them fixed, shots, etc., and release them again. However, the kittens are young and sooo skinny!  They are about 10-12 weeks old.  I have had them recovering at my feral cat sanctuary. The 2 kittens are “Yardley”, a female Domestic Short Hair gray tabby, and “Scrappy”, a male Domestic Short Hair with black fur. They started out scared to death and eyes bigger than saucers.  Now, a week later, they seem glad to see me, I’m petting and holding both of them and they are purring! They will be moved up to the house, and join Connor, after quarantine. Another rescue group is helping me TNR the mama and other 2 male cats.  The sad part is that the mama tabby is really skittish, but wants love.  She could easily be tamed and adopted out, but I just don’t have any room at this time. Story
Please note there is no need to complete an adoption questionnaire on this page. We only need our Adoption Application Questionnaire completed at: https://www.catfurr.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (please copy/paste link) December 12, 2024  Both “Cocoa”, a 6-8 month old black female, and “Rocky”, a 2 year old gray tabby male, are now fixed, microchipped, shots, blood tested, etc.  Now all they need is time and patience to get them ready for an indoor homes. Watch their  video ! We would GREATLY appreciate anyone foster home for these two since we have no where to put them but in a small cage.  Both are healthy, beautiful and progressing nicely. We did receive a donation to cover their cost (thank GOD!), so their current vet bills have been paid!!! November 28, 2024  I successfully caught 2 feral cats early Tues am in Holly Ridge!  My realtor called me because she was moving and had been feeding them.  She didn’t want to just leave them behind. I took traps to her and showed her how to set them up.  The traps were left open for about a week and she fed them inside the traps to get them used to it. Tues morning early I caught them, just as planned and took them to the S/N clinic in Castle Hayne. FURR now has “Cocoa”, a 6-8 month old black female, and “Rocky” a 2 year old gray tabby male who has a raccoon-looking tail like the cartoon character “Rocky Racoon”. My realtor had hoped to keep them at her house for recovery and I loaned her a cage, but trying to take care of these kitties and moving at the same time understandably became overwhelming! So these cats are now at the FURR Sanctuary recovering from their surgery and traumatic day! They are both beautiful and I’m at least relieved that they are safe. Story
Pregnant mother cat and Kasia were found under my deck hungry and just hiding. Not sure if someone dropped them off or they just wandered here. I began feeding them and noticed Kasia was injured. When I took to vet he said she probably got in a fight. All healed up now. I have all records from vet, Carolina Beach Pet Hospital. Kasia plays hard, eats a lot and likes attention. She is comfortable being petted and likes to sit on my lap. She is litter box trained and does a very good job with using the litter box. She was born approximately April, 2024 and I have been taken care of her since latter July.

Story
This sweet kitten was found by the railroad tracks at my Grandma’s. He followed her all the way home where he stayed for two weeks. She has two large indoor dogs so she could not bring him in. I brought him home, but also cannot keep him as I am already at capacity for pets in my apartment. He is extremely friendly. Loves to cuddle and nap. He gets along great with my other cats and loves to play with toys. He does amazing in the bathtub, and has no problem riding in the car. If I could keep this baby I absolutely would. It’s very saddening to have to rehome him but I know he’ll be a great addition to your family
