Story
(Special Adoption Fee) My name is Hunter, and I am a beautiful tabby boy. My estimated date of birth is mid-March 2017. My mom was a feral kitty who lived at a junkyard, but some nice folks helped me escape that life. I am a little bit shy at first, but I love to receive attention which will only make me sweeter. I love belly rubs! I get along great with all my foster siblings. I am ready for my own home now! Hunter has a sponsor, which means he has a special adoption fee. Are you interested in adopting Hunter or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center). We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application. Thanks for thinking adoption!

Story
(Special Adoption Fee) Mamaria is a long-timer with JCAPL and there is no reason why she should not be adopted. She is estimated to have been born in 2018. She was part of a feral colony, having litter after litter of kittens. JCAPL took them in and found homes for her kittens. Mamaria does her own thing, mostly. She loves canned food and is not an overactive kitty. She loves to hang out in the cat trees. She can also be flirty and likes a gentle belly rub now and then. She gets along great with other cats. Mamaria is a low-effort cat and would fit right into a low-energy household. While Mamaria's kittens have all been adopted, it is now her turn to shine. Please consider giving this beautiful, sweet girl the loving home she deserves. She has a sponsor, which means she has a special adoption fee. Are you interested in adopting Mamaria or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. Story
Salutations, esteemed human! I am none other than the legendary Mr. Moo, the feline with a name so peculiar, you'll be scratching your head in wonder. Brace yourself for a tale brimming with adventure and mischief! Once a daring participant in a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) escapade in Smithfield, fate had a different destiny in mind for yours truly. Determined to bid farewell to the great outdoors, I executed a Houdini-worthy escape from my trap, finding refuge with my foster family. Resistance was futile against my irresistible charm, and thus, they willingly became my devoted servants. Mwahaha! When I'm not concocting schemes for world domination, my heart swells with joy at the prospect of snuggling with my human subjects. Oh, did I mention my mastery of meow-speak? Some might label me a chatterbox, but truthfully, I am merely a fur-covered attention seeker, yearning for perpetual adoration and affection. After all, who could resist the dulcet tones of my melodious meows? But here's the twist! It has recently come to my attention that I am a carrier of FIV. Dun, dun, dun! Fear not, mere mortals, for FIV poses but a minor obstacle on my path to greatness. Merely an immune disorder, it spreads solely through deep bites—no ordinary interaction can impede my ascension! With proper vaccination and harmonious cohabitation, I even welcome the addition of fellow feline companions to my illustrious entourage. So, dear human, do you possess the courage to embark upon this grand adventure with me? Beware, for in my presence, laughter, whimsy, and boundless entertainment abound. Prepare yourself for the most epic escapade of your existence, with Mr. Moo leading the charge! Are you prepared to accept the challenge? Let the fur-tastic festivities commence! 🐾🎉
