Story
Escobar is a 1-year-old male cat. He is a handsome, independent kitty and likes to do things on his own. He's a very shy, quiet, calm kitty. He's a small cat, with a petite frame, just like his mama. He eats both wet and dry food but would much rather prefer wet food. He loves to sleep on top of soft blankets and whatever empty bin or box he can find. He's a climber and a really fast runner. He's got a brother by the name of Relish. The two are each other's keepers, and would prefer to have them adopted out together. If that's not possible, a home with another cat would work too. He loves to play with his toys. He also loves to hide and play with shoes. He's also got a funny way of sleeping. Oftentimes, I'll catch him sleeping with all limbs stretched out. I'm looking for someone who will give Escobar and his brother Relish a loving and caring home. Someone that will keep them together as they were both the only surviving kitties in a litter of 6 or a home with another cat
We'll also keep you updated on Relish's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Relish is a 1-year-old "pretty boy." He is an active, energetic, people-loving little cat. He enjoys being carried and held and loves looking outside the window. He's very vocal when it comes to feeding time. He's got a big appetite and would eat all day long if he had the chance. He's very social and playful, loves to climb, and enjoys people. He especially enjoys sleeping next to you during naptime. He likes to sleep on soft blankets and whatever empty bins or boxes he can find. He's a big and slim cat, weighing 15lbs. He's much larger than his brother and mother. Rehoming him due to recent and ongoing allergy issues with my 4-year-old.

Story
Pickles is an almost 3-year-old female cat. We rescued Pickles in her time of need as she was pregnant when we rescued her. She is spayed and up-to-date on all her shots. Pickles is a loving and affectionate cat. Once you pet her, she will not stop begging for more attention. She will make biscuits on you or a blanket. Pickles loves to nap and look outside the window. She enjoys a good seat by the window and will spend most of her time by the window. Rehoming her due to recent and ongoing allergy issues with my 4-year-old. She is an indoor-only cat and looking for a home where she will be loved for and cared for.

Story
Name: Winslow Age: Approx 3-4 yrs. Gender: Male Weight: Approx 9-10 lbs. Adoption Fee: $80 Winslow's story is kind of sad and brought tears to my eyes when I first learned where he came from. Winslow and his friend (Willow) were surrendered from a drug house in Wilkesboro, NC. Their owner passed away but they were neglected and mistreated so much that when I took them in they were both severely matted, dirty, emaciated, had fleas, skin rashes. I've attached a few before pictures of when I got him. He was brought to me on May 6th and I've had him in my care for about 6 weeks now. I took him to the vet right away and he was treated given a physical exam and properly medicated. Winslow has been slowly healing and his condition wasn't as bad as Willow's but you can tell their prior environment was not good. Winslow is funny, kinda quirky and loves getting attention. He's a total lap kitty and will just lay in your lap while being affectionate and giving you motor purrs. I don't know how he is with dogs. He absolutely loves the string toy and has a playful personality. He's full of energy and doesn't mind being the center of attention. Winslow enjoys a big cat tree and some scratching posts. I will say he does have a playful bite to him. But it's those bites that he's trying to be playful and doesn't realize it sometimes hurts us humans. He definitely loves food and is very food motivated. Like his friend Willow..always part of the clean plate club. :) I feel like Winslow would do well with other cats. Winslow is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FELV. All paperwork will be provided at time of adoption. I require a professional reference, and if you have or had any current pet/s, I will need to see their paperwork. Winslow is so deserving af a good home with love and affection. He will not be adopted to just anyone, I want to make sure it's a good fit for Winslow and his potential adopter/s. If you'd like to learn more about Winslow contact me and let's help find him a sweet, loving home.

Story
Name: Oreo Gender: Girl Age: Born Approx. Mid Aug. 2024 Location: Durham, NC Hi, I'm Oreo! My mom Mischief had me around middle of August. She had 8 kittens total but unfortunately 2 of my siblings didn't make it. :( My mom Mischief was lucky to be found by a sweet lady driving from Jamestown, NC to Greensboro, NC on the side of the road. Found out she was pregnant and here I am, now looking for a sweet and loving forever home! I was taken to a foster lady in Durham, NC on October 20, 2024 where she has been taking care of me and my brother Midnight. Midnight and I are bonded so we'd like to be adopted together but I will understand if that's a bit more challenging to ask. I want it to be a good fit for both of us. My brother Midnight is in first in command and i'm 2nd in charge. Lol. I like to climb and crawl on things. I get along great with other cats and good with dogs too. My foster mom calls us Bonnie and Clyde. Haha. Midnight and I make a great team together and like to cuddle up together and with our human. Would you consider adopting me?! I love cat trees and scratching post. I also would like some toys, especially the laser pointer! I look forward to meeting you! There’s an adoption fee to make sure I go to a good home. I'm getting spayed and tested on Monday December 23rd. Just in time for Christmas! Kittens make great stocking stuffers! For more information about adopting me, please reach out to Heather at catsonthehorizon@gmail.com.

Story
Link is 5 years old and I have had him since he was a kitten. He is one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet. He is not shy around strangers and will go right up to you and sit on your lap if you let him. If you feel like cuddling, just call him over and he will happily sit on your lap! He is very affectionate as well as very energetic! He loves being pet and chasing toys. He loves doing "cat-acro" where I put him on my feet and he hangs out in the air! I am rehoming him only because I am about to be traveling full-time and unfortunately just won't be able to care for him.

Story
I chose Ms. Callie from a shelter in Durham 2 years ago when she was 3 months old. She is a sweet cat but doesn't like people much as she is only used to being around me. I have a new granddaughter and I don't have enough time to spend with them both. I would love for her to go to someone that has had a cat before and would give her the love and attention she deserves. I will give her bed, automatic feeder, cat tree, food, nail clippers, liter box, box pads, toys, scratching posts, liter pail & auto water bowls also.

Story
Monkey and Meatball are a pair of bonded brothers that were born to a feral cat colony in May 2023. A nice local lady began feeding them, and over time taught them to love and trust humans. In spring of 2024, Monkey was bit by a copperhead snake and needed emergency medical treatment. The nice lady took him to the vet and them brought him inside her home to recover as a foster. Still outside, Monkey's brother Meatball stopped eating and roaming, he missed his brother so badly. The lady then brought Meatball inside to foster him as well, and the brothers were so relieved to be reunited. These sweet, affectionate boys are now neutered, vaccinated and well adjusted to the comfy inside cat life. They love mouse-shaped catnip toys and to be carried around the house like the big ol babies they are. They need a quiet home with lots of windows to watch birds, a good cat tree climb, and their own person to shower them in snuggles. These boys are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
